Clerk at rental center in Logan Airport was not personable at all. Did not answer any questions asked by me. She was only going through motions. At car pickup and drop off, Lady pointed me to a Kia Rio and I asked if it was an Intermediate class car. She said yes. Only later did I find out it wasn’t. When I contacted Enterprise, to dispute being given wrong size car, I was told I would receive a call, straightening things out. Never got the call. When I returned the car, I finally got a credit. My argument is that I wasn’t treated at all like a customer should have been, until the very end of my rental experience. This is an easy way to lose customers.

Counter representative was great. However, the Car needed service per the dash information screen. Car also vibrated very badly probably due to poor wheel alignment and/or tire balance. Cost for 5 days was outrageously expensive.

Took a while to get the car at the airport. The counters weren't manned and had to go to competitors to get someone to call them. Return was great - couple of minutes. Car was nice and very clean.

Arrived late at Boston Logan with my family of five (~12:45 AM). Small line of travelers in front of us at the Enterprise kiosk in the garage, and apparently there was only one clerk to handle all of the reservations for 2 different companies, one of which was Enterprise. After waiting there for over an hour (which included watching 2 gentlemen inside the kiosk talk to the clerk for about 45 minutes with no one being given cars), I asked my wife to go inside (it was around 2AM now) and see if any companies had cars available right now. AVIS was able to put us in a minivan immediately, for nearly $200 less than our online reservation with Enterprise through KAYAK. We left the Enterprise line and had a pleasant experience with AVIS.

Pros: easy pickup; easy drop-off; tireless roadside assistance team that communicated clearly and got the job done. Cons: the first car they gave us died halfway through the rental period; it took about 12 hours to swap out this car with a new one. Here's what happened: We had an easy pickup, and at first the car we rented worked great. Halfway through the rental period, though, the car died about ten seconds after starting it up. Alamo's roadside assistance worked tirelessly to get a jump, but it was the day after Thanksgiving and a service provider was hard to come by. We were also in a rural location, so that may have made things more difficult. Alamo then arranged for us to get an Uber to an Enterprise rental to pick up a new car; later, they had the old car towed. The whole thing took a while; from start to finish it took about 12 hours from calling roadside assistance to getting the replacement car and the tow. Thankfully we weren't planning on going anywhere, so we could afford to hang around while Alamo got everything sorted out. The new car worked great, and dropping it off at the end of the journey was easy. They knocked about 15% off the final price for the faulty car and the trouble it caused us.

I ordered a mid-sized SUV -- what I received was a full size SUV. It worked okay was comfortable and met my needs, but the gas mileage was horrible and it took up a lot of room. No information was provided to prepare for return of the car. no address, or procedures. As it turned out, it was quite simple, but when I tried to get information, about what to expect in terms of time to return the car and to get to our flight, the agent was not very helpful. I have rented cars with a GPS screen which had been pre-programmed for the return. that was most helpful.

The pick-up was a bit stressful as the staff originally gave me a hard time for not quite matching the picture on my driver's license. I had just spent 24 hours in an airport and plane due to delayed flights and a red-eye so of course I was not going to look that great. Honestly, it was a bit rude.

When we returned our rental car, Antoine (from Brazil), surprised us with a generous lift to the terminal. He saw that we had a lot of luggage and were traveling with 2 small kids. His service was above and beyond expectations and earned our loyalty to Hertz for life!

Prepaid $800 of car booking with Kayak and Hertz said they couldn’t see that I had prepaid when picking up the car despite having my booking. So far it seems that $800 has been stolen by one of the parties.

I am very happy with the service provided by (1) the woman (82298) who checked me in late evening on Aug. 26, (2) the various Avis staff who helped me find my glasses an hour after I left them in the car when returning it last weekend and (3) the gentleman who helped resolve a billing issue today over the phone (Luis, 3848). All of them made me want to use Avis again in the future.

There were 4 or 5 agents serving dozens of renters. I’m guessing they knew how many cars were rented. It took me 90 minutes to get a rental that was already reserved. I will rent from a different agency in the future. The agent was not paying attention to his two way radio when the vehicle was identified so even my time when I got to an agent was far longer than it should have been.

Logan is far overpriced. Car was dirty, dash dusty, so much for deep cleaning. Seats dirty. Low tire pressure had to fill. Paid double the cost of the airline ticket for this car

First car they gave me had a busted back fender, like it was rear ended, so I refused this car. Second car had the check engine light come on within a day. I had to go out of my way to drop off this car and swap it, and budget insisted it be done within 24 hours. 3rd car was full of trash. Not just wrappers and things (which there was) but large cardboard boxes. It was clearly not cleaned, and it smelled like cigarette smoke.

The service agent was guick,efficient and friendly - especially at 12:30 in the morning. :) However, the car was in poor condition which we photographed. Scratches all over, the seats were stained and the tires were almost bald. Good thing we did not experience rainy roads on our trip. That may have been dangerous. Otherwise, car drove fine and service was good.

The customer service was terrible. Budget did not prepare appropriately for the expected number of customers because the lines were insanely long, to the point where I missed the event I had to go to because I was unable to get the car in time (waited in line for 2+ hours). I ended up not getting the car, and did not have the option to get a refund. Very negative experience, will not try to rent a car with budget ever again and am recommending to everyone I can to not do it either.

I happened to be flying on the day when southwest cancelled a ton of flights, so the line to get a car was horribly long. I didn’t feel as the the rep at the counter was being straight and answering my questions. I felt like there was a lot of ambiguity about the process of getting the car and what fees I should be expected to be charged for. The pick up process in Boston was unlike any other I’ve experienced before. Drop off was easy peasy though.

One hour wait to pick up car. There were 20-25 people in line to pick up cars. At the most -there were 3 agents staffed up front to help out. Part of the time there were only 2 agents staffed up front. Coffee breaks? It was very frustrating for everyone. Not sure what the issues were but it all seemed poorly run.

Traveling during the Delta Variant rise is challenging, to say the least. Logan airport was a nightmare, with hoards of travelers trying to get on the bus to the Rental car place. Once we got there, there was a HUGE long line at Thrifty. There were several in the line (including the man behind me who would NOT put 6 feet between us) without masks. Once we got to the counter, we could barely understand the gentleman helping us, but he sent us out to the pick up place, where there was confusion and what appeared to be a lack of smaller cars. They asked if anyone would take a 7 passenger mini-van, which we did not need, but we took it to get out of the airport! It proved to be an excellent ride for us, and brought us safely on our travels. The biggest shock was the ease of the return on 83rd Street in Manhattan. We must've been out of there in 10 minutes or less. In balance, all was great, but the beginning was rocky, so we only said Good.

More than 2 hours of waiting in the airport for pickup. More than 30 customers waiting in the line and only one staff. She tried to upsell more than $300 which she did for a larger size car and lots of other things. When I went to the parking, they actually gave me an SUV which was very smaller than what we originally paid for! Drop off in Newyork also more than one hour of waiting.

Take the shuttle from your terminal to the car rental area (they're all in the same place, which is smart). It's quick and easy. Thrifty was super efficient and friendly, had us out of there in 5 minutes. Drop off was just as quick and easy. Excellent experience overall.

For a mid-size car the Ford Fusion was a great vehicle. Good leg room, nice amenities. Drop off was quick and efficient. Pick up was laborious. By the time I got to the rental station which was after midnight there was one agent to handle the 8 customers in front of me for both Dollar and Thrifty. The agent worked diligently to keep the line moving. By the time I got to her another agent finally appeared to handle the 30 customers behind me. After a long flight that was delayed an hour the long wait for the agent was tiring.

When I crossed the toll bridge in Newport Rhode Island, I used the lane for the EZ pass only because we had a transponder in the car, which seemed to work fine all the way from Boston to Rhode Island. The gate wouldn't open for the toll bridge, and one of the attendants from the cash lane came over. She said their equipment was reading our EZ pass, but it was showing a zero balance. I paid in cash, and used toll lanes w/ez pass cash option for the rest of the trip. Sometimes it read the ez pass, and sometimes I paid cash. I don't know if we were double charged or not. I'll be disappointed if we get billed for the read license plate option. The insurance coverage was higher than I expected. I think the quote on the reservation was not for full coverage. I don't think I'll pay for a full tank of gas anymore. Its hard to return a vehicle empty. I don't want to run out of gas. Comfortable ride, plenty of room, easy to drive.

We arrived and checked in fine and was told to go outside and the rep at the dollar booth would tell us where our vehicle was - we got outside to a mass of other people (+/- 30) who were all waiting and there were no cars. The attendent took our contract and said someone would call our name when our car was ready. We had to wait over an hour and a half to get a car - missed dinner reservations and ruined our weekend get away.

The dollar counter was closed, and Hertz, Thrifty, and Dollar rentals were serviced by three representatives. It took 90 minutes from arrival to drive off the lot. Furthermore, I was frustrated by a lack of transparency in pricing. I paid over $100 in fees and taxes at the counter. That’s unacceptable.

The value was great! It so happened that there was receipt in the car from the previous renter which indicated they rented the vehicle from a difficult rental company. For the same duration, my rental company charged hundreds dollars less. Drop off was super easy and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, there was no chance for me to like anything as E-Z did not have my reservation on file. I spent over an hour at the counter looking to see if the order was wrongfully placed for a different day, if it was set for a different pickup location, or if the rental company had been changed (I individually checked with Alamo, Advantage, Hertz, Enterprise, and more) to unfortunately find out there no company had my reservation on file. By the time the entire ordeal was done, and the option was to reserve a new car, we were so late that we decided to completely change plans and not rent a car for the day. This put extreme stress on myself with family visiting town and I am incredibly frustrated with this experience. Please contact me at mpbrooks16@gmail.com or (708) 212-6034 to advise next steps - I kindly ask to be refunded for both the car rental and the insurance policy as neither were used.

The signage for the desk was difficult to find, the car exterior was dirty including windows and mirrors. The gas wasn t full and was low about 100 miles, I filled it a day later and drove that far before gauge returned to the point where I picked it up

Staff at counter was good, requested a vehicle with "in" state tags. Was told the vehicle had "Massachusetts tags".... it did not, then the gentleman in garage fought with me when I got to the vehicle with "Virginia tags!!!"..... He was very rude and he had 6 vehicles of same model with "Massachusetts tags" but wouldn't let me switch!!!! Ridiculous.....Using another rental company bc upon returning the vehicle I couldnt find anyone to check me out???? So I proceeded to the rental counter and NO ONE there either at 730am in the morning, it's been a few days and yet to recieve my receipt..... Last time I will use a second rate rental company, I travel for a living and if your a businessman dont use EZ car rentals!!!!

There was one staffers who was helpful and apologetic regarding poor signage at the airport. I also appreciated the man who checked the car out and was careful and helpfulThe counter staff were rude and simply did not care. They blamed me for missing the counter sign and could not have been more dismissive and unhelpful. With that attitude, I will avoid EZ rental in the future.

There is always a long line & a long wait to register. The staff is friendly & helpful. I asked about specials; I was told I could upgrade for $45 but was not told that was based on $15 per day. My total was greater than $45. I want a refund for the overage. Returning the car was super simple.

I spent 2hrs waiting in line and missed a meeting because there were over 50 people in line. Then as I tried to change my car I realized you redirected me through Price Line and they would not allow me to change my reservation and then spoke to Payless and they too would not budge even though the line was wrapped 4 times back and forth 50ft and they only had one agent working when I got there... I will NEVER use them or anyone affiliated with them again. I will use another service other than Kayak if they ever redirect me to Price Line (even after I chose a different source for my purchase)

I had to wait in line for exactly an hour and ten minutes with many other frustrated travelers in order to do the paperwork and pick up the car. The clerk proceeded to try to “upswell” the usual prepaid tank of gas scam and to manipulate me into purchasing additional insurance The car had not been properly cleaned. There were what looked like crumbs both in the driver door handle and center console, but also my wife found a discarded face mask in the passenger door storage area. Coming in contact with it was very disconcerting given the COVID pandemic. The visible dust on the exterior was a non-issue for me, however it indicates sloppy cleaning

It took a total of 1 3/4 hours to finally get my car. The line was incredibly long, then my car had a check engine light on which caused another delay. It was a nightmare. But the car was very nice and the return to LGA was extremely easy.

Drop off was EASY. Airport shuttles were often. I appreciated that the shuttle driver to the airport reminded everyone to check for personal items we may have left in the rentals before he departed.

I didn't rent from National. I made a res a few weeks ago, but I cancelled it. I got conflicting emails saying it was cancelled and others saying it was still pending. I rented a car from Sixt at BOS airport. Bob 415 663-8305

Excellent staff at pick up and drop off.Car smelled like cigarette smoke and wasn't very clean. Line to pick up car at the airport was VERY long, took over an hour to get the car.

Easy pick up and drop off for the most part at the airport except the National employees weren’t at the counter when flights got in making a great many people standing in line for both National and Alamo so the Alamo people could help us.Car smelled like something had been either in the car and got moldy or a wet animal had been inside causing the first day to be almost Unbearable to drive in.

No one at counter at BOS upon arrival at 10:30pm. No sign saying to go up to where cars are. Finally found my way there. After saying they didn’t have the 8 seat suburban available that I had reserved, they eventually found one. Everything was great after that.

They had issues with their credit card reader/computer and I had to wait for them to call my credit card company to verify it. This was at 1100pm after a long day of travel.... so it was a little annoying.The car was pretty beat up on the exterior and interior. Good news was they didn’t charge me for the condition of the car. I would have spent most of the rest of night circling things on the form otherwise.

Easy to pick up and drop off and the shuttle was also expedient to and from the airport. Car was new with 300 miles.The cost was higher than quoted after all the incidental tax was added. Probably a state issue but should have been an up front cost quote.

Left iPad in glove compartment. When I returned to the car rental area the iPad hadn't been handed in to the manager or lost property after the car was cleaned which was disappointing. I couldn't check car myself as it had been rented out even though I had returned within 3 hours of having left the car back

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Vehicle was very nice and at an affordable rate.There were some staffing issues on the return, but nothing unbearable and nothing abnormal in this climate. It was apparent the staff was doing everything they could to help and I appreciated their efforts.

They gave me a car that broke down half way to destination. They then hung up on me twice after I was trying to tell them the car wasn’t working. On the third call, they basically had no idea what to do and finally figured they needed to call a tow truck. But now I was being told I had to come back with the car in the tow truck. Meaning I had to wait up 90 minutes for the tow to arrive, and then ride an hour back to Boston, pick up a new car and drive another 2 hours to where I was going. The car battery died at some point during all this and it was below freezing. I asked at least two employees if I could leave the car where it was at with the keys inside, so that I could head to another rental agency and just move on from there, and both said yes. I then get a phone call from a number that’s not even associated with silvercar saying that if I leave the car before the tow arrives I’m responsible to anything that happens to it. At that point I was already in an Uber on the way to an airport car rental. They had no idea what they telling me. They eventually got the car back. And I don’t know how, but they were going to charge me 4 times more than what I agreed to, because the guy at check out kept accidentally updating my reservation and adding more days to my reservation. That probably wouldn’t happen anywhere else, because this place is trying do all their business through smart phones. They are at least reimbursing me. And whoever the female worker was on Sunday during the whole situation was totally rude.Basically everything. I’m sure it’s fine if your rental car doesn’t break down, but if it does it’s a nightmare.

NOTHING!!!!! I sent a text to the number to have my car brought to me. I was informed they weren't taking 3rd party reservations and that it didn't matter that I had a confirmation number. The person on the other end was less than friendly and was sarcastic. I did receive several "We apologize for the inconvenience". My reply was "An inconvenience is me having to wait 15 minutes for my car to arrive" to which they replied "well have a nice day" Which I replied with an angry emoji and let them know I was given the a poor review and would NEVER use them again!EVERYTHING! An actual car when I arrived, you know, the one I reserved! The fact that this company could've cared less about me being stranded in Boston with no means to get to my destination. This is poor customer service on steroids. I rent a car just about every week for my work since I'm constantly traveling. Hertz made the mistake of giving away my rental because I was 30 minutes later than I had said I would be (my plane was delayed). It was spring break and they could charge another customer more. I have never rented another vehicle from them or their affiliates. That was almost a year ago. I have now placed Silvercar on this boycott list. Thank you AVIS for coming to my aid and helping me get to my destination. Not only did they have a similar vehicle, but when I explained what happened, THEY honored Silvercar's price! THAT's customer service!!!
