Cons: Due to flight and baggage delays, y the time we reached rental counter our car was gone. Agent found us a car but would not honor original price. Ended up spending almost double - $1,200 vs $600. Can Kayak help here, I've already sent my ckmpkaint directly to Budget and am awaiting their response.

Pros: Location of Avis/Budget office and pickup/drop off were convenient at the Bordeaux train station. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons: To start with, Budget should honor my reservation. I had booked a medium sized car for a little over $300. Upon checking in, your representative told me that they did not see that price in their system so he could not process it and give the car I reserved, so downgraded me (bags did not fit at all)

Great car, more than enough room
Pros: The car was great forniur traveling grouo of 6 people. We needed a lot if room for luggage and passengers and there was certainly enough.
Cons: The rear sets of seats were facing each other which added a bit of motion sickness and limited the movement of the front twi seats. We tried rotating the two middle seats but they were stopped by the table. Perhaps better in-board instructiins in how to remove the table would have solved the problem.

Pros: Avoided the train station fee but needed a shuttle to get to the car. Return was even easier than getting the car. Received a newish Opel corsa. Good experience overall.
Cons: Hard to find the budget desk because there are absolutely no signs anywhere, I eventually found it by chance because I went to ask for help at the avis counter (avis owns budget). Also if you ask for it make sure you pronounce it as "boo-jay".

Good carvhire experience
Pros: New Renault Captur. Good price. Car checked with me present when i was returnong it. Charming salesmam in airport persuaded me to upgrade! But only a few extra euros

Overcharged, and terrible service
Pros: Great car, better than reservation class.
Cons: Very slow service. Verrrrrry expensive gas charges when not returned full (100 Euro for half tank). Rental desk didn't have any signage for Budget and there was no documentation to look for their partner which is Avis apparently.

Long check in and car not ready
Pros: Long queue at Bordeaux airport with a time consuming check in process. Even then the car was not available despite reserved time so had to wait. However they did finally give another car which was a grade up.

bad experience
Pros: Nothing
Cons: we received a contract wth a 10 000€ franchise what i didn't expect ans it was not mentionned on our confimation, we had to chnage this with an extra charge of 20€ a day. this is just illegal to di this in eurpoe. Their explaination was that we reserved on a us based website but thats not my problem i leave in europe ans rented a car in europe. at theasa the en
