Cons:I tried to return the car to the underground parking garage at night and thought it was closed as there was closed metal door. I returned the next morning only to discover this is the regular door and it opens. If they had mentioned this i would have returned the car on scheduled day.Reviewed 2019 Aug 13

Total Rip OffPros:The car was acceptableCons:The Allianz insurance i paid for via Kayak is not honored by Budget, so i had to spend another 60 euro for their coverage. After duly returning the car with 7/8 + tank full, i had to pay 20 euros to 'fill the tank'. The clerk said i could avoid that fee by taking the car out of the garage where i had to park it, level -6 at the porte Maillot garage, and find a gas station, a good 45 min round trip operation. Cons:Lyon staff provided same drop-off address in Paris as Budget website. In Paris, we brought the care to the drop-off address, staff yelled at us for not dropping off across the street from that address, told us we could not complete closing the reservation and they would get around to it after helping everyone else. Rude staff. Poor signage for location. Poor communication all around. Still haven't received any final information about our completed contract.Reviewed 2018 Jul 07

I was clearly not welcomePros:nilCons:the car was noisy and not fuel efficient. The staff was unwelcoming starting from the moment they realized I had booked from a broker in the US and was paying less than then French rentals. They took revenge by upselling me some insurance. I was not against it, but numbers really did not add up. It was not only more expensive, but also the EUR - USD fx rate did not make sense. I ended up paying double the amount I had initially booked. Also, there was a railway station tax which I also found out about, and when I challenged them again on this, they had no response other than a threat: "you know, we should cancel your booking because you are not a US resident but you booked through a US site". very nice...last but not least, I had to beg them to show me the car and bring me to it for a review. Initially, they did not want to come out of their cosy office. none in the office was very interested or concerned about me, and I was the only client...Reviewed 2018 Jan 12
