The agent in College Station was very friendly and helpful.I would have much preferred Enterprise having someone at the Lexington airport.

After making a reservation through Kayak, I went to the Enterprise site directly and got my 2 day car rental for $12 less than through Kayak.

The staff was friendly when I arrived. However, I could not reached to them via phone when I needed to ask a question. They just do not respond to the phone.I was supposed to pay 32.59 as a total charge at the dropp off. However, the dropoff clerk charged me $42.60 despite the fact that the tank was full. When I talked to her, she said she has done it by mistake and the money will be returned back to me. I still could not get my money back.

No Alamo signsI had to stop and ask an employee where to park because there were not any Alamo signs in the parking lot. I was informed that Alamo was part of the Enterprise/National family of companies. My recommendation is to have signs of all three companies over the parking spots in the return lot at the College Station airport.

The car was a premium because that is all they had. We were happy you could accommodate us especially with the hurricane.

I was not able to get a car because I was told I got there late. But the reservation was paid in advance. Then, they try to get me in a more expensive car.

TerribleWorst customer service i have ever received. Associates were rude, unwilling to cooperate, and disrespectful. I will never be using this company or this location again.

Worst officeI have now been in this Hertz office three times. This is the slowest most unhelpful rental car office I've ever been in. It is busy, but mostly because it backs up with only two very slow people working there. Very frustrating dealing with the people in this office. Don't even try to call, you'll get put on indefinite hold or they won't answer at all.

Good and BadGood daily rate, clean cars, easy drop off. This place is very busy. Expect a few people in front of you, don't expect the phones to be answered, and don't expect to get the car you reserved. Specifically asked when I picked the car up if I could extend my rental if my car wasn't ready at the shop. They said yes, as long as it was within 12 hours. I called 24 hours beforehand and they wanted to charge me a fee for changing my reservation! I was very put off that this fee wasn't mentioned when I asked about this specific situation. Also, felt very pressured to buy their insurance, which I didn't appreciate. Said multiple times I was covered both by my regular insurance as well as my credit card, but they kept asking about it.

fine rentalService, and vehicle was fine.having to just drop off when the place was closed. would have preferred to switch to debit card, but no one was there, so left payment on credit card.

Awesome experience!Everything went smoothly! No pushing for car category upgrade, insurance coverage upgrade, etc... Right to the point and super fast! I would highly recommend Hertz at College Station!

car quality was not gooda warning light went on and off twice whIle i was driving, the ignition struggled to turn once, and there was no cruise control. I understand it's a small car, but it wasn't comfortable to drive.

Top tips for renting a car in College Station

  • As a college town, College Station has a good amount of entertainment, and to get the most out of your visit, you’ll want to secure a rental vehicle. With a car rental in College Station, you’re putting the greater surrounding area within reach. Hop in your vehicle and take a day trip to Houston, which sits southeast of College Station. Alternatively, a vehicle grants you access to the beaches in Galveston and parks like the Sam Houston National Forest. When you visit these locations—city, beach, or forest—you’ll likely want to bring along gear, and having a rental car means you’ve got ample space and won’t have to lug it around with you while you’re exploring.
  • There are a number of places from which you can grab your College Station car rental. For example, along S. Texas Av. you’ll find a Hertz, and on State Highway 6 S you’ll find an Enterprise. You can also grab your vehicle from College Station Easterwood Field Airport (CLL) where there are several brand-name rental options, including Budget, Alamo, Avis, and National, to name a few. To get to the help desks, head to the lower level of the terminal toward the baggage claim—you’ll find desks directly in front of you as you walk toward the building’s exit.
  • College Station is a college town, so while driving here you’ll want to keep an eye out for students crossing the streets in areas where there are a number of bars, restaurants, and cafés. You may discover that some students choose to commute via bicycle so, when you pick up your vehicle, take a moment to identify any blind spots, then ensure you’re aware of them as you’re navigating the city.
  • A large majority of the working population travels to work via car. To avoid increased commute times, you’ll want to avoid the hours directly before and after the traditional workday. Typically, College Station rush hour traffic lasts from about 7am to about 8:30am, then again from 4:30pm until about 6:30pm.
  • Book your rental car in College Station at least 1 day before your trip in order to get a below-average price
