Cons:
At the check-in I was informed that as the rental was done via a USA based agency and that I was using an EU based credit card and drivers licence , that I was Absolutely OBLIGED to take their full insurance... otherwise the rental would not be honored. This despite I already have a good policy with both my own car and via my gold credit card. The insurance was more than the rental. I feel lied to by Kayak , Europcar, and whatever middle-man you sub-contracted via.10.0 Wonderful

The car we ended up getting was fine.Cons:
We paid for a mustang convertible or similar but when we got there they considered a fiat 500 comparable. Then there only Other option was a VW bug convertible, in our minds going on a costal vacation and paying for an upgrade neither of those cars compared. Friendliness of staff.Cons:
There are two terminals at BCN and I had reserved at #1, but picked up at #2. They told me they didn't have any small cars like I wanted. I could have gone back to terminal #1 and gotten the original car, buty ended up with a much larger and more expensive car. They should coordinate between the two terminals. They didn't inspect the exterior of the car when I picked up, but did when i returned it. This could have been a problem though it wasn't.3.6 Poor

They tell you the car don't have scratch and when you go to check the car have some scratches also they tell you where the car is park and you don't see the car is park in different place. the guy who helped us rent the car was very nice and friendly, however we didnt the car was not automatic. the car was dirty and we were not told how everything work, like radio and stuff like that. also they charges an extra fee we didnt know about and of courser the fee the bank chargesCons:

I reserved a car for $109. In Barcelona airport at 5 am sixt was the only car rental available, and they knew it. They told me my only option was to pay 180 because they didn’t have any economy cars left. I had no option and felt kinda depressed at how deceptive the world has become. Cons:
Pickup was in Barcelona Airport. The price per day that you book via Kayak does not include a bonus fee (for me it was an airport tax + 25 euros = 28 euros) for rentals. Additionally, I returned and a difficult-to-see dent in the side of the car was blamed on me. It was so small and difficult to see that I cannot say whether it was there when I rented the car. I am now in legal proceedings with them over the issue.INTERRENT

Rental form never said I needed an Int'l license. Was refused rental in Barcelona. No problems renting elsewhere in Europe with stateside license.6.0 Okay

Cons:
booked With ACE all insurance included. Upon Arrival Goldcar Barcelona, tells us, that they do not accept the terms and conditions negotiated by ACE and that ACE has no cars and that we have to accept their conditions otherwise there is no car. I have had an exchange with priceline on this issue - to no avail. It is for me not acceptable that I'm not aware that the subcontractor of ACE (in this case Goldcar) does not accept the conditions of ACE. Goldcar has been condemned for this business practice in Italy, but not yet in Spain. ACE should stop working with Goldcar or make it clearer to the customer, that the contract via internet will not be honoured upon arrival and that more costs are to be expected.2.0 Poor

Helpful staff doing the best they can within company strategy and charges.Cons:
Long wait for shuttle when I landed, then to be told my return flight at 7 am was too early and I would need to pay 40 Euro for shuttle. I am sure it is in the small print somewhere but in the middle of an off fire tradingvedtste your choices are then limited.keddy by Europcar
