Pick up and drop off was painless and easy. The Alamo counter is shared with National and Enterprise. Everybody was friendly and helpful.Car was outstanding, clean and practically new. Overall experience was great!

The staff in Missouri was very helpful, apologetic and willing to work with me to get into another car. Review for him is great! Overall, it being booked only an hour before, I was happy to get into anything so my review is only to highlight some things. I'd use your company again for the speediness and rate alone.The cleanliness. And the maintenance. CLEANLINESS: The car was pretty dirty inside. It still smelled heavily of cigarettes, had about 5-6 cigarette burn holes in various seats, ceiling and roof, and there was just general dirt and dust in there. Lots of stains. Probably the filthiest interior of a rental I've ever been in. Again, the staff was extremely apologetic and seems like he was ready for me to ask for him to fix it, but I was happy to have something in a short notice. I told him don't worry about it, just please mark it on the pre-drive damage sheet (which showed the exterior damage, many decent size dents) so I wouldn't be charged. He obliged. MAINTENANCE: The maintenance lights showed it was way overdue for service. Warning comes on as soon as you start the car that reads, "Service Required (-4678mi, -9days)". The car only has 44,668 miles so I was surprised at how beat up it felt mechanically. Overall, the car ran fine, got good gas mileage and was reasonably comfortable for my needs and timeframe. Other customers likely would've had an argument to make.

Staff was friendly, and I loved the Hyundai Elantra. Was great for our road trip.Online booking is very misleading. Shopped around for the best deal, and though that’s what I got with enterprise. But unlike other companies they do not include the fee for being under 25 years old in your quote. So when I go to pick up my rental not only did I have to pay another $125 in fees but also a $300 deposit not mentioned online at all. Definitely left me feeling cheated and lied to. Will not rent from them again

I loved the car we got, a Hyundai Elantra. It was very clean and new feeling. Did have a little bit of a smell but it went away after awhile. It was perfect for our whole trip.I shopped around quite a bit for a rental car and everyone else included the extra fees for being under 25 upfront, so I assumed they did too, but as I was prepared to pay when picking up not only did they add another $125 because I’m 24 but they also added a $300 deposit that was not mentioned when booking online. That was definitely a poor experience. Only good thing was the car itself. Most likely will not use this company again.

Be sure to talk through EVERY CHARGE. Even though I denied all additional offers, they tacked on an additional charge. And when I asked about the final total being nearly $150 over my reservation price, they said that was for the deposit that would be refunded back to my account after dropping off the vehicle. Little did I know, when I checked my CC account afterwards, price was nearly $350 over my reservation price. When I asked about it at the front desk, they said their hands were tied since I initialed the final price. But since I was given false information before initialing, I feel taken advantage of. Will be reporting this and asking for a refund of the additional funds. Very unprofessional.

I rented from "Payless" not Budget. Didn't care for the $200 refundable security deposit, but that's the way it is today. Vehicle (Toyota Corolla) was in excellent condition, good gas mileage and pick up.

I like the vehicle that I was givenI have never had the best luck with Avis. Several times, I have been charged twice for a rental. And it’s taken over a month to be reimbursed. One of those times, I had to reach out three times to get my refund.

We did get an upgraded vehicle because there was no vehicle that we requested availableThe vehicle outside had been keyed heavily. No one from the staff came out to inspect the vehicle with us. This was a Dodge Caravan and literally, the passenger side sliding door came off the track and was not able to close completely. The wind noise from the door not closing was ridiculous.

Online booking through Kayak was easy and affordable. Check out and check in were simple and efficient.The vehicle had that specific aroma of one that had been smoked in. The company had probably paid a big fee to have cleaning done but the residual odor is still there, especially picked up by non-smokers. Sorry Avis, send it though the treatment another time.

There were no vans on site when I arrive, the agent with National\Alamo inform my Enterprise agent that she had just gotten a van in. The van was washed and given to me. This was excellent merging of the three rental companies.

It was very convenient to have the cars available just outside the terminal, no shuttle busses, etc. I was surprised at the high mileage, over 50,000, but didnt have any operational problems. The van was very clean and comfortable for 5 people plus our luggage.

Drop off was quick and easy.The place was hard to find! It was behind a strip mall with no signage on the street. The inside of the car could have been cleaner especially during Covid. We had to wipe everything down with sanitizing wipes before our trip.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCENOTHING!Booked online during travel. Got confirmation. Then called to confirm location was at airport. Reached destination airport to be told wrong location... AND NO CAR at any location because they called me and because I didn’t answer res was cancelled. I’m flying... that’s why I needed a rental car?!?!?!!! Agents at desk just did not care at all. Will never use the brand again ever!!!!!!

Altima conditionUpon returning car, I expressed to clerk, Taylor, that front bumper was scratched when I initially picked up car. Taylor stated that wouldn’t be an issue since I initially picked up car in that condition.Receive phone call regarding scratched front bumper and I had to take the time to write an email and re-explain condition of car at time of pickup, along with pictures. Poor communication between the two Hertz car company. Customer service should have handled this situation. Hoping to soon be informed of the confirmation of my email.

They cancelled, charged me and then I had to call 4 times for my $The fourth person I finally got to help me receive my money why backThe fact that I made a reservation. They called me to cancel it. Told me I would not be charged. Charged me fully then only gave half of my money back due to cancellation ! ( which they did due to lack of cars) then took me a week to receive the rest of my money.

The car was clean and in good working condition.They did not have a vehicle available in the class I reserved, so I paid for an intermediate car and only got an economy/compact car. They comped my gas, but I didn't even get any notice so I could choose a different company that had the car I wanted. When I made the reservation, it said something about "checking availability" when I picked the class of car I wanted, so one would assume that meant the company only rents what it knows it will have at the scheduled pickup time.

We used a 3rd party to book and and had multiple charges on my account that I had to spend an hour or more on the phone and at the counter getting fixed. I still do not have this matter fixed. I will never recommend or use priceline or Payless car rental again. Horrible experience.

I prepaid on Priceline/ Kayak for a Jeep Cherokee. However, Priceline did not send the payment voucher to the rental agency. Upon arrival I was told the SUV I reserved was not available and I could drive a minivan instead. The only other options we’re either too small for my needs or an expensive upgrade to a large pickup truck. The truck was nice, but it had not been washed, had ketchup on the back seat, had a used toothpick, used mask, and open chewing tobacco pouch in the center console. I then called Priceline/ Kayak to get a refund of the unused prepayment (I was charged, in full, at the counter). Priceline said it would research the issue for 10 days. I then get an email stating my request to “cancel” the reservation was denied because it had been used. Obviously, Priceline didn’t pay attention to my request for the unused prepayment to be returned and there is a complete lack of coordination between the rental company and Priceline. Overall, my experience with Priceline/ Kayak on this trip was horrible and a lesson to book direct. My experience with Payless was that the counter personnel were friendly but you don’t get what you reserve and the vehicle may be filthy.

Why didn't Kayak pay Payless for my rental???? Payless stated to me that your company (Kayak) didn't pay them (Payless) the money I paid on my reservations with your company back on May 5, 2021. So Payless charged me the full price so I WANT A REFUND FOR THE MONEY I PAID KAYAK SINCE YOU DID NOT PAY THAT AMOUNT TO PAYLESS!!!!!!

The car could have been started and warmed up. We flew into an ice storm and had to wait in a cold car for 20 minutes before the ice could be scraped off the windows. Besides that, all was well!

Nothing this was a horrible experience.I didn't get my rental car. The payless rep said I could not use a prepaid rental car transaction to pick up the car from the airport. Allow me to get my rental car on time and use the prepaid function.

I was given a upgrade that was a Chevy Tahoe rather than a midsize SUV. But that Tahoe had a leaky tire with three plugs in it and I had to keep pulling over and refilling the tire on on a long drive. Also they gave me a car that did not have the left rear turn signal working. Then when I went to turn the car in they said that I had change the car and they charge me $2000 instead of the 299 a week. I’m very disappointed. I will not be using national car rental again.

The price was pretty good, but you get what you paThe car had fuel when I picked it up.The delay at the counter was excessive. I arrived to pick up the car a little early. I was willing to pay any difference, and add the time to my rental if they needed that 30 minutes. I was told that it was a manager rule that they could not let me have the car any earlier than my reservation time. I was surprised the manager didn't want to make more on the rental, but I figured "OK, not a problem". I told the agent that i would be sitting 10 feet away waiting. At 10 minutes past the appointed time, I again approached the desk. The agent said "Oh, I've been calling for you for the last 15 minutes". I doubt the validity of that statement, but whatever, I got the car. I then found that the car was programmed so that the music volume would only go 1/2 up, and the car speed was limited to 80 mph. I found the last tidbit out while passing a truck, on a busy two lane highway. Overall, the hassle just wasn't worth the savings.
