Pros:Pick-up area was easy to find, and overall the staff I interacted with were professional and friendly.
Cons:The signage about which drop-off area to use was apparently incorrect, which made things confusing and tiring after my trip.
Cons:It would have been helpful to have the drop off procedures for when an attendant wasn't present explained during the pickup.
Cons:The employees on the phone...both times, at the desk, and at pick up and drop off. Very rude.
Cons:I had to cancel my rental based on not having a major credit card. I went with Avis whom was more accommodating. I will not be renting with Dollar in the future.
Pros:Customer service was outstanding both picking up the car and in returning. Will rent from dollar again.
Pros:The car was nice, although it smelled pretty weird.
Cons:The car cost more than advertised, by about $100, so it was almost double of what I expected. The insurance I bought online with the car (3rd party) I was told was useless, and they were known to not honor the purchase if something were to happen, so that's $30 I won't get back. All in all it was a lot of wasted money.

Pros:The staff was terrible. As I was walking up to rent the vehicle they locked the door, looked at me, and left.
Cons:The customer service. I was treated much better at Alamo where I ended up having to rent from because I was not able to get my rental when I needed it from Thrifty.
Pros:Thrifty staff member was very pleasant and helpful. Vehicle was very clean and ready to go.
Cons:If you rental agencies would offer something besides those cheap Chrysler products. I realize they practically give them to you (how else could they get rid of them), but they are very uncomfortable and noisy. Luckily I only need a van once in a great while. And thankfully you have better quality vehicles to rent when I need a sedan or coupe.

Cons:When the strip would not work on my credit card, the agent said it was impossible to enter it manually! Luckily I had another car, but NOT the one that I wished to use! Gotta be a better way!
Cons:The car smelt like weed and it was never cleaned out. The windows were filthy.

Cons:No car available when we went to pick it up 70 miles away from our home. They charged me for travel insurance anyway.
Pros:The base price was very reasonable.
Cons:It took at least 45 minutes for me to pickup the car. There were four people ahead of my in line and only one person working the counter. The car was filthy on the outside when we picked it up. It was a hard blue car with road salt completely covering the sides and side windows. The steering wheel had some brown sticky substance on it. I was planning on returning it with a full tank, so when I picked the car up I told them that. I thought I remembered a gas station close to the airport, but apparently it wasn’t where I remembered. We didn’t ace enough time to go out of our way (traveling with a young child was partly to blame) and I dropped it off and told them. I had used just over half a tank and was charged $75 to refill the tank to full. Very frustrated overall and was finally charged a lot more than I expected for a dirty product and my fault if not returning it with gas.
Cons:Turned car in early due to smell still charged me full rate and had no other vehicle similar to what my need was

Cons:Needed large vehicle to pickup clients. Car was dirty, inside and out. Had to spend my own money to clean the car so it was acceptable for picking up business professionals. Inside was not vacuumed, chip crumbs in the door handle, some sticky white substance on the dash and several seats and candy in the creases of the rear seat. Not acceptable condition for a car going out to a customer. Cars should be cleaned inside and out when they are returned before being checked out to a new customer. Cost me $20 that I shouldn't have had to spend! Also, the system was down when I returned the car, so I was told I would receive a receipt in email. Never received the receipt, called customer service to make sure the car was showing returned, but still haven't received the receipt.

Pros:I have rented many cars and have had plenty of bad experiences. This time was not one of them.

Pros:I asked for a different car after the first car they brought me had a musty smell, so they brought me a new one.
Cons:I couldn't figure out how to move the back of the seat forward and since it was pouring rain outside I didn't want to get out of the car to get a closer look. When I reached my hand down by the side of the seat my fingers were covered in a greasy substance so I gave up after that. Having my seat back too far made my 3 hour trip from Dayton to Cleveland a bit uncomfortable. The car also had a weird blind spot on the side. There was also trash in the back seat. I was expecting more for a company like Enterprise.

Pros:Staff were efficient and friendly (if not very helpful when trying to make changes).
Cons:I booked a compact car because I wanted a fuel-efficient compact car. What I GOT was an SUV. Wouldn't change my "upgrade" even though there were quite a few compact cars in the Avis lot.
Cons:The confirmation time was not accurate. The rental was not at the airport and we had to drive home and come back. First time in 30 years that we faced this.

Cons:Removing fuel option at end as instructed was terrible and no one seemed to know they could do it and how--had to wait.
Pros:I was not happy that our extra day was so expensive compared to the rest of the rental I am not sure if other rental cars make you pay for the whole tank if you buy the gas in advance. It would seem that if I pay you to refill it you would know how much is in the tank at that point and then be able to charge me later that day
Pros:The car (vw Passat) was clean, had great gas mileage. Very smooth ride.
Cons:Horrible odor of cigarettes. Like people, not just the person before me, totally ignored the no smoking rule and the company didn't care enough to get the odor professionally removed.
Pros:Good selection but so inconvenient to pick up and drop off without entering the airport. Tried to ask a question and calling the front desk was impossible for three days without going to corporate office kept being put on hold for 10 minutes only to be automatically transferred. Too much hassle for simple rental.
Pros:Individual walk up selection of vehicles. Cleanliness. Reliability. Great gas mileage.
Cons:What I didn't like. Extraordinarily slow at the counter. Thinly veiled customer service with a smile. Not genuine.

Pros:The car was amazing. Loaded Nissan Altima. One of quietest, smoothest cars I've driven.
Pros:Dayton Airport Alamo offers clean vehicles in a convenient, walkable location close to baggage claim. Alamo personnel were professional and efficient.
