Finding the Green Motion at Waverley Station was very challenging. It was located in a parking garage with no clear markers or signs. We had to ask for help from multiple people to find the office. Once we arrived, the extra fees for insurance were extremely expensive. The hidden fees after they lure you in feel very scam like. The car itself was comfortable and clean. No complaints there, but when we went to drop off the vehicle, they wanted to charge us upwards of 400 pounds for a dent that already existed when we got the car. The staff were extremely rude and condescending about it, and made no offer for us to speak with upper management. They proceeded to tell us we were liable for costs even though when we picked up the car they said it had the dent. Everything about this agency felt underhanded and deceiving, like their ultimate goal is to get as much money from you as possible, but lure you in initially with the best price. I would NOT recommend Green Motion to anyone traveling and in search of a rental vehicle.
The harassment you receive on check in is exhausting. They don't accept the additional insurance you buy online, they charge you £1500 as a hold, and then threaten that you'll be liable for all £40,000 that the car is valued for if you don't show a million dollar insurance through your credit card or take on another £200+ in fees. Very shady business indeed.
Green Motion office hard to find in car park but otherwise all went fine. Nice people and efficient once we found them.
Predatory practices around car damage, and didn't accept the 3rd party insurance coverage that I had purchased. At the point of pickup I then needed to provide additional coverage through my credit card. Poor communication and customer service throughout.
