I completed the reservation, and the rental place called a couple days later to tell me there won’t be a car available for me. All the other rental agencies in town were booked, so I had to upend my wife’s schedule so I could borrow her car.Reviewed 2022 Oct 30

Hertz is the worst?Cons:I showed up for my reservation and they didnt have a car for me.... worse, they couldn't issue a refund at the desk. Instead, I had to call Hertz corporate, which was a nightmare.Reviewed 2017 Jun 12

Cons:The car was not ready when we showed up, and the car was a smaller size than what we reserved. It was a one-way rental, and I was told at my destination that they had never seen a contract like the one I had been issued. It took 24 hours to resolve it.Reviewed 2017 May 21

Rental fee raised 4 timesPros:Car types were sufficientCons:The rental fee showed on kayak was 80+ for two days, but I was charged for 320+ when I rent the car at Hertz in the state college airport. Pros:long lines to drop the keys and contract. and the contract was not on the computer. We had to call the other day to inform at what time we drop the car. They put the burden of inform on us, after we already returned the car. Worst experience everReviewed 2016 May 10

Would rent a car from them againPros:We rented it through my girlfriend's debit card, and the amount that they put a hold on was released a few days later as promised. Pickup and dropoff were smooth, the car was very clean and the representatives were friendly except for the dropoff lady.Cons:The lady who accepted the car at the drop off at JFK wasn't the nicest as she asked us what the scratch on the right side of the car was all about in a judgmental way. It had been there all along and it was even marked on the car figure that was attached to the keychain. After a long trip I would have expected to see a nicer greeting from a Hertz employee.Reviewed 2015 Dec 26
