Pros: despite being over motor court, room was very quiet, everything was well designed, staff was extremely helpful, bathroom was tremendous, restaurant was great. Very little (if anything) to actually complain about. Top-notch.

Pros: The quality of staff was a hit or miss. Overall, there were only two staff members who impressed me. The night concierge was incredibly attentive. Although a young man, he was clearly overqualified. The night manager was highly reasonable and particularly helpful when I confronted any problems with my stay. He had very good customer service skills. Another nice element was the provision of fruit every evening. It was a unique and memorable touch. The variety included persimmons, bananas, apples, oranges, and plums. That was very nice. Finally, the room offered outlets adapted for international travelers.
Cons: The negative element of the stay included the inattentiveness of most staff members. There was a lack of polished professionalism that is instrumental to a quality hotel. It felt like an disjointed operation. As for house keeping, I was unimpressed. The bathroom was not well cleaned, and it appeared the floor towel was repeatedly unchanged. Although the room was constructed with high-end technology, it was poorly integrated. The technology was not particularly easy to use and added little value. The television would not respond to the controller. Further, the television sat above the desk, making use of the desk awkward. Also, there was no light above the desk and no desk lamp. Finally, both the pool and gym were inaccessible at night and early morning. This can be inconvenient for business travelers. Still, the pool was impressive. Overall, I was disappointed and would recommend looking into other hotels, such as Apex (where I had a more pleasant stay during a prior visit).

Cons: Slight issue with room not being ready. Was invited to the premier area to have a free drink. However we were left in a room where businessmen were having a meeting and all of the drink sat in locked cabinets so,we couldn't have anything anyway. No-one came back to check on us so we left for the bar.

The staff were very friendly and kind, plus there was complimentary glass bottles of water in the room with water fountains on each floor that provide sparkling or still to refill the bottles with. The restaurant was also delicious in addition to all the other amenities like the pool, spa, steam room, sauna, etc.

Cons: Reception at the front desk were poorely skilled. Absolutely no communication between them and the customer about how the room is/was going to be. I paid for a room which I thought I was going to receive a decent room with a view. Instead I got a dark closet room with a very small window of the inside of the building, was not worth the ridiculous price per night. I would compare my room to a youth hostel, pretty much just a place to lay my head, nothing more, nothing less.

Pros: We booked this friend to stay overnight as our friends were having their wedding at The Ballroom in Park Plaza. Thank god the wedding was good, because that was the only good thing about this hotel!!
Cons: As we were part of the bridal group we contacted the hotel months, weeks and even the day before check in to request an early check in, that never happened!! As an apology because our hair and make up artist was standing in reception, we were only upgraded for 2 of the 4 rooms. During and after the wedding, we got stuck in the lift (which was already broken but not decommissioned) no apology from the evening staff and no acknowledgement of their errors, rather I am told "I am done talking to you". After our party having spent tens and thousands of pounds, this is the treatment we received. No compensation and no complimentary offers to any of us.

Pros: The hotel was trendy, modern and comfortable. Located only ten minutes walk to Liverpool Street station the location was very easy to get to and handy to bars in Shoreditch. The staff were all incredibly polite and helpful and made the room extra special for my patterns birthday. The room comes with mood lighting, a scent and a Nespresso machine. The aviary rooftop bar has a cool vibe with a DJ at the weekend & great views of London.
Cons: The bathroom floor looked like it had splashed on it although the rest of the bathroom was spotless.

Pros: After reading so many reviews I was expecting bit more from this hotel. I felt like its somewhere between 4 star to 4.5 star hotel. I didn't have too many complaints, everything was smooth from check in and out taking only 30 seconds to comfortable beds etc but i think having lived in other 5 star hotels it felt like little bit less than I was desiring for.
Cons: The room was clean but may be the room layout was not up to my liking. I felt it was darker with less lighting and dark layouts

Pros: Stayed in a king suite . View from the room was fantastic and the absolutely stunning at night. The room was spacious and comfortable with very nicely appointed furniture and bed. The bathroom with the heated floor was very nice surprise. Doorman was wonderfully welcoming, the bellboys were quick and helpful and the concierge was professional and always pleasant and patient.
Cons: I asked for an early check in which wasn't possible and I understood this. However, when I returned at the regular check in time, the receptionist without checking with anyone, insisted the room still wasn't ready. Had to ask for the manager, who after checking with housekeeping, found the room was ready. Receptionist was not happy at being contradicted and was less than pleasant for the rest of the check-in process. Not offered breakfast discount on check-in so would have paid substantially more if I hadn't found out about the discount by accident. Stayed two nights. Mini-fridge was not restocked the second day. Took 45 minutes to get a bucket of ice and then felt guilty for asking for it when we found out the poor guy doing room service was the only one on duty. Seems like the hotel needs to amp up the staff numbers to provide the five star service you're paying for.

We had an issue with the A/C in the first room on the first night and the hotel moved us to another room and everything was in order there. We only had the included minibar fully stocked once during the 6-night stay and only after mentioning it to the front desk. The minibar was restocked with drinks one more time but the food items were not restocked. Not sure if the hotel only includes one restocking or if it was supposed to be restocked daily. This was included with the rate we paid, I think it was the 'deluxe' package. It's a great hotel but I would say it is more of a 4+ star hotel. It seems the A/C units need updating or repair, the faucets in the bathroom are worn from cleaning so much and our spout was loose, the wood top near the tea-making facilities was warped from prior water damage. We have stayed here 5 or 6 times now over the past few years and the TV in the bathroom has never worked, but we don't use it so it's never been a deal-breaker. It is hit or miss if you get a room with working heated towel racks and/or heated bathroom floors. We love the location, the lobby, the staff, the bar, the breakfast, the courtyard/gardens, etc. It's one of our go-to hotels to stay at when we can afford it. You won't be disappointed if you do stay here. Just make sure to mention any issues with the staff and they will do their best to get it taken care of.

Pros: The rooms were comfortable and we had a lovely view of the river and the lighted ferris wheel. The staff were courteous, professional, and responsive. The location is great. The concierge was quite helpful. Breakfast was great but if we had not obtained a good price including breakfast, the a la carte cost of adding on breakfast would not have been worth it. The hotel is lovely and we hope to stay there again.

Cons: Got a good room rate, but drinks, tea, and breakfast were as expensive as you'd expect from a 5 star central London hotel. We ended up changing our room twice -- the first time at the suggestion of the bellman, because it didn't have any view. The second room had a view but was way smaller than the other, and had no bath tub. We were moved a third time at our request and got a wonderful room (but without a river view). The staff made both moves very easy indeed.

Cons: This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had in a very long time. The hotel was very poorly represented about who they are as a brand, quality of hotel, and by far not valued at 4 or 5 stars as they claim to be. Our first room was a deluxe with tower view. The carpet had tears in it, we had a leaky faucet, and later that evening we discovered the air conditioning didn't work. After many discussions with the front desk their solution was to move us to a twin bed room and put a fan in the room to cool it down. While moving our bags at 11;30 PM the bellman told us this happens quite often and they don't have maintenance on staff anymore. Having worked in hospitality and hotels all my career this is a clear sign to me that the hotel doesn't value their service levels. When having a hotel of over 700 rooms without maintenance on staff you're going to consistently have unhappy customers with service failures. I urge them to put this job back on payroll as it will help your service records considerably. After 3 phone calls the manager on duty Marga was helpful and compd breakfast and upgraded us to a suite the next night. These are all nice but it seemed like we were having to explain to them they needed to do something rather than them being apologetic about the horrible situation of our room and the huge inconvencice.

Pros: I began laughing and celebrating my good fortune the minute I opened the door to my room at the Tower Hotel. The wall opposite the door had a large picture window with the most incredible view of the wharf and Tower Bridge! I couldn’t believe how wonderful the location of this hotel was and how nice my room was. A short walk to the bridge itself, the Tower of London was next door. A short walk to the Tube station and a sightseeing boat that boards in front of the hotel. Friendly, competent hotel staff and a comfy room. You’d think it would be noisy so close to the bridge, but not a problem. Good blackout curtains too! Great stay!

Pros: The location of this hotel is unbelievable! It literally sits right on the Thames river, and the view of the Tower bridge is stunning!! Not to mention it’s incredibly beautiful on the inside, it has fantastic amenities and the restaurant inside is wonderful! It’s also a very simple walk across the bridge to the other side to get to the Tower of London and a plethora of other restaurants and shopping venues. The cost was incredibly low for what type of hotel this is, and I will absolutely recommend anyone to stay here for a gorgeous and accessible view of London!!

Pros: If you're visiting London, you aren't going to spend much time in your room and shouldn't pay for more than you need. This hotel was an excellent value--modern, clean, comfortable rooms and extremely helpful staff. We chose a windowless room, the small, cozy space was exactly what we needed and more.

Pros: The beds and bathroom were comfortable. The satélite tv was good. The staff is very friendly. The location is excellent. Within walking distance to soho and Covent Garden.
Cons: The room is extremely small. No closet or room to walk around. There is only about 5 feet between the beds and the bathroom. Only 1 person can move around at a time. After the 1 day got the hang of it and made it work. The bathroom and room is divided by frosted glass. It did not provide privacy for families.

Pros: The location of the hostel was great! My first night there, I walked into town to see the London Eye, Parliament/Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey. Then, I walked back. Round trip: 1 h, 30 mins. The hostel is also close to a Tube station, so getting anywhere is a breeze. Staff were friendly, price was good, and there was a good mix of travellers.
Cons: Close to a major road, so you get a lot of noise :( Only two showers and two toilets between approx. 25 people. I'm actually quite surprised it wasn't too much of an issue. Bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner.

Pros: The reception were delightful and helpful! They kindly moved me to a quiet room off the main road at my request. The room itself was basic and clean, but that's all I wanted and the price was right for it! My friends were staying at the Rosewood for our friends Wedding. I don't see the point in spending hundreds of pounds when you are hardly in the hotel room anyway.
Cons: I didn't like not having a bath. But for $100.00 per night for a few days, I survived this first world problem!

Pros: Spent about a week in London and stayed at the St. Giles. No regrets. Close to the West End action and much cheaper than some in the area. This hotel is also frequented by bus tours - Ugh. The room was good though small (almost Japanese hotel room small). We did not partake of their restaurants and went to a much, much better buffet down the street for breakfast. Concierge staff was very helpful

Pros: We went on a weekend away because he had tickets to see Harry Potter and the cursed child, which the hotel was a short five minute walk away which was great for me and my friend to get there as it was over 2 nights.
Cons: However we were never informed that there was to be building works happening throughout February. This resulted in there being no room for a reception desk and little to do in the hotel as everything was cordened off. As for the rooms, they were small and dated, they also didn't have much of a blind for the windows. As there has been a neon lit build finished across the street from the hotel, the room was lit up all night. To add to this there was a false fire alarm at 4am in the morning which no one came to inform us about but we could barely hear it from our room. The shower cubicle was really small with a really powerful shower that wasn't pleasant and to top everything we had a cockroach crawl into our room just before our departure that resided under our bed. All in all multiple things went wrong with our stay and I wouldn't recommend.

Cons: No toiletries or fridge. Tiny double bed in awkwardly shaped room. In Europe it would have been marked up as a no frills business hotel and would have cost far less.

Pros: The atmosphere was amazing, the common areas were decorated impeccably, the staff were genuinely friendly, and the ground floor had enough chill out/get rowdy/eat food areas that a) you could always find a space suitable for your mood, and b) the rooms stayed quiet and peaceful. Also, the number of outlets was astounding, and the WiFi excellent, even though my room was on the fifth floor.
Cons: The toilets were backed up a few times. It was always fixed quickly, but the frequency of blockages was a little concerning.

Pros: The hostel was very clean. The bathrooms were cleaned every few hours. There was a nice mix of travelers,young and old,people travelling in groups and lone travelers. There were also young families and babies. Lots of people ,lots of activity. At night ,there was added security in the building. I was very happy with the Generator Hostel.
Cons: The mornings were rough .You had to time it right to get a sink in the bathroom. Everyone seemed to need the showers at the same time. You just have to try to avoid the busy times.

Cons: First room had extensive mold in bathroom. Bed linen was old and worn, hallways smelled of dampness. I have pixs which night manager was not interested in seeing and was VERY RUDE! No living person should have been put there!! Next room was ok. Breakfast was very limited and crowded and noisy. U had to pay extra £5 for eggs and bacon, usually cold. We were told hotel chain was biggest in Europe and I’ll add WORSE in Europe. Will never book hotel on internet again because I had no recourse to get my money back!!! I will only call hotel directly and pay AFTER my stay , so if I’m not happy I can go elsewhere. PS, hotel dining room resembled “Grade school cafeteria, hall pass was issued that you had to show to get in”
