Pros: so much to like: the rooms themselves were lovely, spacious, immaculate, with incredibly comfortable beds. The grounds are gorgeous. Great location - situated between Buckingham Palace & Westminister Abbey & around the corner from the Underground; thus every other part of London within reach. The workout room (gym) had all one would need for great workout, but even better than all else, the INCREDIBLE staff! So professional, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable- in particular the concierge team!

Pros: Very clean, nice-looking hotel. Great staff--very helpful and friendly. Nice, high-quality amenities. Generally had a luxurious feel despite rooms being small. Excellent location on quiet side-street, around the corner from Buckingham Palace.
Cons: Generally, no complaints! The rooms are pretty small, but this isn't an issue if you only have one or two people in your room and, if you're like me, don't waste time hanging in your room while on vacation.

Pros: The Grosvenor is expensive and a nice splurge in London. It's located right in Victoria Station, so it is perfect if you're seeing shows, going to the Kew, or any tube connection. The Gatwick Express is direct from Victoria to Gatwick and back. The lobby is a throwback to the grand old days of luxury hotels. The high tea is expensive and wonderful -- a real treat. Even if you don't have the high tea, the pots of tea are delicious and the tearoom is very elegant.
Cons: Staff service is hit or miss. Some were very friendly and helpful, others less so. We were quite jet lagged when we arrived. The attendant said something about having to notify them the day before in order to get a discount on breakfast, which made no sense to me and in our state of exhaustion just went right over our heads. The next morning when we went to breakfast, of course we didn't get the discount because we hadn'tt "notified" them. Why is this necessary? They were very helpful with directions, printing boarding passes for us, and other services.

Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our state at The Conrad Hilton. The location was perfect and the staff very accommodating and friendly. I loved the fact that the underground station was direct across the street, so no need to cab or uber in from the airport. Such easy access to whatever we wanted to see and go, the entire time we were there.

Pros: This hotel offers a welcome change from the big American chain hotels. Although it is part of an Indian chain, it has managed to preserve an old world charm. The Christmas tree in the lobby along with all the comfy couches and the Elle lovely courtyard made it feel very cozy and comfortable.
Cons: The bathrooms could be a bit bigger but this seems to be a common problem with London hotels in general.

Pros: The food was delicious! Breakfast consisted of Indian food and your traditional English breakfast. I am a vegan so I was very happy with the Indian food choices. The wait staff at the Hampton Bar was top notch. We never had to wait for anything. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: There was a lot of construction happening across the street when we visited, but that is no fault of the hotel. Our room was not facing the street, so it was not a disruption.

Pros: The hotel was sold out so the room they gave us through Kayak was not so good, a bit tarnished and with warning signs everywhere, We stayed in better rooms in this hotel in the past. They used to give us welcome notes and a fruit basket to thank us for coming back But, this time, no note, not a great room, as if they were indifferent because we had booked through Kayak (with which they are not partner). It was not possible to change for a better room for 4 days. Then, a wonderful attendant, Adriana moved us to a better room for an additional fee. So,we had s a better experience toward the end of the stay. I am a fan of the "free breakfast" which seem to attract a non-business crowd.... As a result, a loyal returning guests get a luck ward welcome.

Cons: First room we were given (#352) had a lot of noise from the subway passing underneath, despite the fact that we had explicitly asked for a quiet room! From the second night on we got a very quiet room.

Cons: The people who worked here were the dumbest losers I'd ever experienced. The guy at the front desk wouldn't book me in, he made me go online to book in even though I was standing at the front desk. I asked a simple question "how far is it to Westminster Bridge?" and the fool had no idea. Also the room I was in had 24 beds like a slave ship. The fool at the front desk couldn't even write the door code down properly so I was unable to enter the room. The breakfast was pathetic.

Cons: The bed was awful, felt like sleeping on springs, very hard. The bathroom was a joke. I had to spend time reattaching the bath hardware as it came off when I tried to use it. There wasn't one part of the shower that was acceptable. The shower head wouldn't stand up, pieces were falling off so I had to use it as a hand shower. This hotel is in serious need of updating. Everything is worn out, stained and terribly cleaned. Surfaces were obviously not cleaned thoroughly often as you could see the dirt. Overall I was quite grossed out by the whole experience and would never stay at this particular Doubletree again.

Pros: Staff went out of their way to provide prompt and courteous service. The location is right across the street form a major train station and access to Circle and District subway lines. Rooms were modern and clean. Breakfast was ... expansive... the classic British breakfast. The restaurant and bar were comfortable. The concierge gave us a great tip to a nice Indian restaurant within easy walking distance.
Cons: Frosted glass door on the bathroom means that if you turn on the bathroom light in middle of the night you wake up your partner as well.

Windows broken sash cords on at least two rooms, one of the rooms toil seat broken, central heating on full when not needed, Some rooms do not have anywhere to hang your cloths, mouldy bathroom fittings carpets need a clean, only stayed one night have ask for money back on other two nights spent in hotel round the corner Best Western this is a proper hotel I manged to get a good rate slightly more but everything clean and works. This is not a hotel it has a sign to say it is its just a room with on suit if you are lucky the owners have no idea they offer a discount but this does not give you space to hang your clothes awaiting on refund now which they say will take 5 days. very poor

Pros: Close to everything. Beds were okay for one night (we bought sleeping bags after reading all the reviews and i suggest you do the same).
Cons: Dirty, incredibly loud street noise but you have to keep the window open because it's so hot and stuffy and there's no fan. Black mold in the bathroom. Fine for one night and only if you're used to hostels or traveling on the super cheap.
