I reserved a car for 12pm ET. Upon arrival, I was told there were no available cars and would need to wait a few hours until other drivers return their vehicles. I was stuck at the airport with nowhere to go, finally got a car around 2:30pm but didn't arrive in the evening until late Saturday evening. When I originally inquired about how there were no cars available despite confirming a reservation the week before, the front desk employees got a bit defensive. In the end, I made it to my destination. But it was a pretty bad experience overall.3.2 Poor

Had to wait an hour in the cold standing in the lot waiting for the car. The attendant just came once and said we have your car in a few and the. Disappeared back in his booth and just ignored when ever I asked how long do I have to wait.Cons:

I had to wait an hour and a half for a vehicle. The car they gave me wasn't as nice as what I booked. It smelled like incense and vape. I would not recommend booking with Dollar. Kayak was trying to pass me off to Budget to resolve the issue. Dollar was telling me to talk to Kayak. I do not like renting through third party companies such as Kayak. Cons:
The agent at the desk kept trying to push me on the extra insurance that I didn’t need or want. When I got to my car, the sticker that sealed the drivers door was already broken and the car was not very clean. Since I had already been there over an hour I just took the car as is. When I got home, my husband found marijuana in the middle console. I called customer service to make them aware that the car wasn’t cleaned out from the previous renter and I was transferred around and put on hold for over an hour. I hung up and submitted and email complaint through the website and never heard anything back. When I returned the car, I told them again what had happened and the agent apologized. I was never offered anything more than that one apology after the fact. I will not rent from any of the Hertz companies again.One location in Louisville Intl Airport

The car I received was dirty and definitely wasn't cleaned beyond pre-covid standards. I'm not a germ freak, but greasy fingerprints on the screen and doors and a greasy feeling steering wheel are just nasty.6.4 Okay

The price and the vehicle was great.Cons:
At pickup, the vehicle was not ready, and had to wait. The help desk seemed to not want to be working. There was no information given about the return of the vehicle. I had to ask about return from the man working the gate, but even that was not enough. At return, there was no one to close the transaction, Just a sign saying to leave the keys in the car. I had to work with customer service for the next two days to get the extra daily charges removed from my credit card account because no one at the drop off location closed the account. I'll not rent from Thrifty and associated companies again.9.6 Wonderful

Cons:
Use a different company. My flight from Afghanistan had engine problems and we did emergency landing and forced. To spend night in Bulgaria. I called in as soon as plane landed to cancel or pushback one day but agent said no help. When I finally got to Car Rental in SDF they double charged me and the rates went up to a premium of 85 dollars a day. But thank God we didn’t crash and all of us military got home to the USA safe and next time I just will not book their Kayak10.0 Wonderful

I loved driving the Ford Taurus! It was very nice and reminded me of a luxury car with the cream leather interior. The checkout process was very easy and quick! The checkin was even faster! Plus the value was amazing through Kayak.Cons:
They don't do a walkthrough with the car. My rental had a damaged console in the middle, stains on the carpet, and a burn mark. I didn't want to be held responsible so I took pictures.10.0 Wonderful

Cons:
Very slow pickup, clerk did not know how to use the computer system and had to ask someone. Drop off was a mess as their computer system was down so the clerk asked me to hang out and wait for a bit. I responded that I had a plane to catch and that they would have to figure it out on their own time, which seems correct.One location in Louisville Intl Airport

Car selection, pre-rental inspection, communication. I called 7 times every hour to half hour and never go ahold of anyone at the local office. Was charged for a second day rental, we didn’t even have the car 36 hours. Local office was closed at 4, so I couldn't call and communicate the massive wreck that delayed us before returning on time. When I finally made it to the car return, the dude who took my keys never said anything to indicate I’d get charged another $125. I rent 8-10 cars annually for my business, and figured I’d give budget a chance to see why it’s cheaper. You get what you pay for. I called National and cancelled the rental the same day as my search changed the rental dates and I did not notice until after I booked. I was still charged the additional insurance to my credit card and now fighting to have that refunded.10.0 Wonderful

Cons:
I waited four hours for a replacement in Newark. I ended up having to pay for a hotel because I got drowsy after waiting for four hours. I called Louisville to advise I was delayed and they still charged me for an extra day. Credit has not come through.9.6 Wonderful

Cons:
During my past experiences with Enterprise I have been able to use a debit card with appropriate identification which included paycheck stubs and utility bills at airports. It was during this experience with renting a car that I was not able to rent a car. I was told to go to another Enterprise location. Enterprise policies should be the same at all locations!!!10.0 Wonderful

Was told they didn't have a van like we requested and pre paid for. When we went to pick up the van. Had us all set to get a SUV upgrade for no extra charge, and then someone brought in a last minute van. Swithed us back to the van. It was not cleaned. I used a debit card to rent the car. If it was not an acceptable form of payment, why even approve it, deny it. You fail to notify people correctly. All 3 people at the Hertz counter were having the same problem. My credit card is kept at home and too far away to go back and retrieve. Your lady at the desk was rude from the start, but if I had to tell people they couldn't take the car when they paid a month ago I wouldn't be very happy either. The details should be taken care of before getting there. Oh and also, I am home from my trip nine days later and still do not have all of my money back, but you sure did take it all at once. I am not asking you to take debit cards, just not accept debit cards, so we avoid confusion.8.8 Very good

Pros:
I had to exchange rentals when an oil light turned on, on the dashboard. The second car, a Kia Soul, was far better than the first (a Chevrolet Cruze) in terms of comfort. The people you have working at the Louisville, KY, airport are so friendly, efficient and they go the extra mile. I walk with a cane and cannot walk long distances, so the counter agent went to the trouble of bringing the car to the closest terminal door. And the value-for-money aspect couldn't have been better.Cons:
I had to exchange rentals when an oil light turned on, on the dashboard. I consider that a failure by the staff to be aware of the next service point of the vehicle. With only about 300 miles to the next service point and I was planning to use the car for 12 days, they should have given me a different car. Also, the distance from your dropoff location to the terminal was too far for a guy with a cane to walk (at least 200 yards), but there seemed to be no way to call for a wheelchair or some other accommodation. In that sense, an "in terminal" location is actually a disadvantage. So maybe you can find a solution for that.One location in Louisville Intl Airport
