Cons: Rooftop restaurant did not have a bar, you have to order and sit on a table to drink. I paid the most expensive mojitos I ever had $24 dollars for two to be exact plus tip for the waiter. The room I had was tiny with a 1foot by two slim overhead window, quite claustrophobic for me... The breakfast buffet was $24 dollars, really! You walk next block to Restaurant El Popular and order their menus for less than $6.

Pros: The rooms at the Zocalo Central are well accommodated and well maintained. The staff is phenomenally helpful and friendly, and the roof-top cafe has an unbelievable view of the national cathedral and central plaza below. For sightseeing purposes, one can't beat the location, which is merely steps away from the cathedral, Palacio Nacional, and the city's archeological site.

Pros: The hotel is a gem. It is centrally located, very clean and the staff was amazing. They were friendly and helped us out with getting around the city. As soon as you walk in they make you feel welcomed. They greet you with a smile and a glass of authentic horchata or jamaica. Love it!! The evening guest services provides us with suggestions for excursions, which we took advantage of.
Cons: The restaurant buffett was a bit overpriced. It does provide a great view, so that's what you mainly pay for.

Cons: Internet is not working great. Being on a business trip I need it to work all the time. From time to time the connection is interrupted followed by the periods where I could not connect at all. While the staff acknowledged the problem it should not happen that often in the first place (and it happened both times when I stayed in the hotel. Cons: The service from check-in was horrible. The staff were pretentious and not helpful. They were not friendly and had an attitude of getting the job done at the very least effort. If asked to do something mundane, like giving you change for a bill, it was obvious they were irritated. We had issues with the ATM, which ended up eating up our ATM card and the staff said they were not responsible and didn’t offer any help; not even to call the bank in charge of the ATM. The elevators were really slow and the check in line was really long.

Cons: The check in computer system was always not working properly and even with the clercs were working hard there always was a long row of people waiting to be checked in. You would be lucky if you could check-in in less than 40 minutes. But there were a number of people claiming Someone else was already staying in the room you finally got. There was a day when more than ten people were overbooked and claiming for hours. The electric key was broken, sometimes it worked, but gets broken again, and usually you have to wait about 7-8 minutes for someone to come and open your room.

There was no information in room about anything the hotel offered. Pros: Este hotel queda en la mejor zona de Ciudad de México, al frente del Angel de la Independencia. Esto es muy bueno pues hay muchos sitios donde comer y conocer cerca. Si van a ir el fin de semana de día de muertos, tienen que tener mucha paciencia, pues el tráfico es un caos, lo bueno es que pueden ver el desfile desde la ventana del hotel.

Also, I'm not sure AC temp was just for show. The first night at 76*F felt almost the same as second night at 65*F

This hotel has ok sized rooms but they were 100% clean! has a modern touch to it and the bed was comfortable for when we got tired of exploring. I would definitely stay here again

Pros: Learning about the history of this hotel was more informative than the tour I took at Teutihuacan. The breakfast in the Veranda was excellent (authentic), and winding down in the Telephone Bar was perfect.
Cons: I had to ask the housekeeping repeatedly to replenish the coffee water and keep my windows locked, but they had a good attitude and kept the room clean and fresh.

Pros: Great location the metro is just around the block as well as a strip full of bars. Safe area would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to the city and not wanting to take a taxi or the metro at night to go have some drinks. Food,metro,bars all within a block plus only about 3 or 4 blocks from the angel de independencia.

Pros: The hotel is in a wonderful location, how can the owners do not invest in into a modern hotel. Although it floor by floor. I expected anytime Mauricio Garcés appeared in the elevator.
Cons: If I'll travelling around Muslims countries, dictatorial systems countries or communists countries I could understand but in Mexico??? In Mexico City??? This hotel is restricted, censored, banned from many internet pages. I tried to buy underwear online because I had no time to go to a store and I was unable to access such pages. What ??? It is perhaps this hotel owned by the Vatican? Also, I was in the 16th floor and the smell of a burn oil from kitchens is amazing. One maid told me that probably the smell goes up through the elevator. Really???

Pros: OMG, the location is great, and the STAFF is what's set's them apart. The doormen are over-the-top great, the ladies behind the desk are so friendly. Only wish I had taken a look at the pool and gym!
Cons: The ONLY problem is that we had a great room on an upper level and it was almost at the intersection of an imaginary "T" with Calle Amberes. There are 2 bars on Calle Amberes that play music very, very, very loud until at least 2 am if not later and the room isn't soundproof. Normally i can sleep through anything, but this was really loud and my 'fix' was kleenex in the ears. Next time, I'm asking to stay on the 'other' side of the building.

Pros: Location was exceptional. Very accessible to all kinds of public transportation, fairly safe area except the back of the hotel (from outside). It needs more lighting and have a more friendlier appearance. Bellman/security very friendly some of them very knowledgeable, and the young lady that serves the food at the breakfast buffet really knows what the customer service business is all about. She has a great smile and everything you ask for she gets for you without hesitating. One of the best things at the hotel are the security cameras on every corner of the floors. Beds were very comfortable, I guess it depends on your preferences as far as mattresses since I saw bad bed reviews from this hotel before.
Cons: Staff for the most part don't know what they are doing during check in/out.they seem lost. I'll give the front desk manager the credits for their lack of customer service and old system to run the operation. The restaurant hostess keeps telling you that you have to pay for breakfast as soon as you enter the restaurant; they say its policy to remind the guest they have to pay even if they have seen you for two weeks straight or if you have a visitor (potential client) for breakfast. (Not the best way to greet a customer), also chairs are extremely dirty. Front desk charges you for lost key cards and they question you if you ask for extra keys; when if you go to a branded hotel you can loose 100 key cards and you won't pay a penny. If you want to exchange dollars at the hotel the pay you 10 pesos per dollar when if you go outside its 16 pesos per dollar. Basically they steal from you. Bad business practice! And lastly housekeeping don't dust rooms or deep clean bathrooms.

Pros: Very helpful staff, though limited English proficiency. The hotel is near a train (Metro) station, which makes it easy to get around the city for 5pesos one-way.
Cons: Being nitpicky here...the cleaning staff starts going around a little too early for my liking. I think around 8:30 or so I they go around, While I had the do-not-disturb notice on my door, I could still hear them them knocking on nearby doors since they were so close.

Cons: The hotel is under construction and they only have several rooms available. The rooms that my family and I got were ok and the air conditioners were not working. So they had floor air conditioning with some fans. It did not work. Rooms were so hot and we were not able to sleep at all. We complained to the personnel and all they said was “sorry but we are under remodeling due to the last earthquake”. Well, they should not have any rooms available until they finish and get the ac units working. !! We had a terrible experience !! Don’t stay !!

Pros: The hotel room was clean, simple and spacious. Aside from that, the staff provided fresh towels and sheets during our stay.
Cons: The dresser, bathroom sink and a towel were worn. One of the lightbulbs in the bathroom was not working well either. The room could also use brighter lighting. Other than that, the cost outweighs the minute details.

Cons: General upkeep and maintenance. Room walls and door are thin - had to switch rooms because there was a kid running and crying outside in the early AM. Second room, the toilet bowl was leaking. Third room, which was an upgrade, the balcony door didn't lock and could easily be accessed by the adjoining room that shared the balcony if they wanted to risk maneuvering over the balcony separator.

Pros: The new rooms really make a difference to the old ones. Very comfortable and finally a bathroom with shower that gives you enough space. Breakfast as usual is very good and offers a daily changing variety. The Hotel is currently under refurbishment. Floors 3-7 and the lobby are being renewed.

Cons: We were moved rooms due to an air conditioning malfunction and I left a jacket in the old room. The next day I asked the front desk for the item but no one seemed to care. Two days after many follow-up calls they informed me that they had found nothing. I was not fond of the dishonesty of the workers or the service from the front desk.

Pros: The facilities at the hotel were modern and spacious. Breakfast selection was extensive. Hotel room was clean and beautifully decorated. Pool, bar and restaurant felt intimate at times.

Cons: Paid for a private room but the room randomly smelt like a sewage on our second night! Disgusting!!! They were doing construction until 11 or midnight at times and then again at 7 am. Informed the staff but didn’t seem to care.
