Pros: Exceptional service that is sincere and not cloying. Staff is excellent, rooms are large and the bed is incredibly comfortable. My favorite hotel in Philadelphia. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The spa is also spectacular. They are dog friendly yet you can't tell if dogs are really there. The rooms are solidly built and I am sensitive to dogs barking. No dogs barking here! The hallways and elevators are immaculate. This is just a wonderful hotel. The closest to European luxury with space.

Pros: We planned a quick last minute evening in the city and booked the hotel on a whim due to its location and proximity to our favorite part of town. In terms of location, this place can't be beat. You're within walking distance of what seems like hundreds of fantastic restaurants and highlife hotspots. The hotel staff is courteous and made us feel instantly welcomed and at home. My only criticism is that the room was a bit dated. It needs renovated. The shower definitely seen better days and looks like it was last done in the early 90s. The bed was very comfortable and we slept pretty good.

Pros: Wonderful service, beautiful hotel. The beds and linens are very comfortable, as are the bath robes they lay out for you. We were celebrating a birthday and the extra touches were very much appreciated. The rooms can use a bit of updating, but all in all it was an excellent experience and will likely return again next year for another birthday celebration!
Located in Old City, this luxury hotel is steps away from Independence Mall, Independence Hall and Liberty Bell Center. Pennsylvania Hospital and Jefferson University Hospital are also within 15 minutes. 5th St. Station is only a 2-minute walk and 8th St Station is 7 minutes.

Pros: We got the corner king spa room and couldn't be happier. The room was spacious, and the views made the room look even bigger. The bathroom was on point, and the big soaking tub was great. We usually stay closer to Rittenhouse square but we didn't mind this location too much, there is tons to do in this part of downtown! The staff was very friendly and made check-in and check-out a breeze.

Cons: I receive a monthly check from the VA for a service connected disability -- my ONE night stay cost more than that entire check! And for what? I received no continental breakfast; parking is $50 a NIGHT; and my room with a king-sized bed was tiny. No idea if internet was included, as I was not given a password. I wanted to sit in my room and prepare for a speech I had to give, but, my absurdly expensive room did not come with a chair besides an ergonomically nightmarish desk chair. I had a ton of clothes because I was there for a three day wedding, so my hands were full. I received no bell-service, carried all my stuff to my room, and the keys didn't work; so I had to lug everything back to the front desk. Had to iron shirts for the wedding, the ironing board looked like it was bought from a yard sale. For the cost of this room, I expect quality amenities. Also, the bouncer for the rooftop bar, who looked a like a teenager, watched one of the wedding guests get assaulted, laughed, and did nothing. Honestly, we should've called the police. Posh and ostentatious, with little reward. Go somewhere else.

Pros: It was a really nice hotel - beautiful room and facilities- great location. The bartenders in the bar were really helpful and gave better suggestions for what to do in the city than the reception and concierge.

Pros: As with all Kimpton Hotels, the decor is amazing & very much in-line with my aesthetic. We also really enjoyed the location of the hotel; we stayed over 2 very nice days & walked 30 minutes down Passyunk and over to the far edge of Rittenhouse multiple times. We tend to spend most of our time out-and-about, but the time spent in the hotel was very nice. We requested a room away from the elevator, which they did not oblige. We were essentially directly next to the elevator bank, however it ended up being quite. That said, we were there on a Monday night, I'm sure the weekends are a bit rowdier.
Cons: Bed was not very comfortable (for me, the BF loved it), the outlets stopped working in the bathroom in the middle of my blow out & could not be fixed, the internet did not work the day we checked in. Also...there is not much follow-through from the staff; we had requested a later check-out that they never acknowledged until we were physically there and brought it up ourselves again during check-in. We asked for a room away from the elevator bank, but were put in one directly next to it. Tried to order room service & the person on the phone said they would have to call back to 'confirm the order' but never called back..the food appeared 20 minutes later, cold. Negatives aren't the end of the world, but there are definitely some things we weren't thrilled with. But the staff, including the valet, were lovely & very friendly.

Pros: I called ahead to let them know I am bringing my dog and was incredibly surprised to have been offered dogs bowls and a dog bed placed in the room prior to me checking in. From then on, the hotel made sure to provide excellent service for anything we needed. The room was gorgeous and have really comfortable beds! I'm not one to sleep in, but I didn't have an issue catching a few more hours of shut eye. I highly recommend staying here.

Ready, willing and able to give excellent customer service including: • Always pleasant and smiling • Providing accurate information on where to go--restaurants, ice-cream places, etc. • Took a personal interest in you--asked for and called you by your name The staff as a whole was generally quite pleasant. • View from the room to the park was great!
Cons: • Room was dusty. • Bathroom shower had no door, and so the floor and bathroom door always got wet. • First room was large but was for a disabled person. WHen we changed the room, we were given a comparatively very small room. When we asked if we could get a larger room, we were told that there were none except the rooms for disabled persons.

Pros: Outstanding. Like all Kimpton hotels, the accommodations are uniquely hip and utterly luxurious. What stood out, above all though, was the customer service; the finest I’ve experienced to date. The staff is gracious and accommodating. They go the extra mile (and beyond) to make their guests comfortable. Also, the Japanese soaking tub, which sounds like one of those gimmicky add-ons, is life changing experience in itself. I cannot overstate the indulgent pleasure.
Cons: The views are hit or miss, but such is an unavoidable trade off in almost all urban hotel and bright, colorful, playfully ornate decor go a long way to offset this.

Pros: I was very impressed with the restored lobby and the finishes throughout the hotel. The original design aesthetic from the 1930's creates this luxurious feel and it is carried through the interior design from lobby to the guest rooms. The location is unbeatable, with subways, restaurants, and entertainment minutes away. The gym facilities were definitely nicer than many hotel fitness facilities I've seen in my travels. The staff at every interaction was helpful and friendly. The lobby for drinks has a great vibe, too! Overall a great experience.

Pros: I liked the fact that the hotel is centrally located to shops, dining, and entertainment in Philly. We specifically stayed here to celebrate my birthday at nearby Amada, a tapas restaurant (Excellent food by the way!). A big plus was that there was no additional fees for having our dog stay. The hotel reminded me of the hotels in Northern Europe I've stayed in with the rooms being designed with very clean lines, wood, and metal. I liked the lobby area with the fireplace and hanging out with other people staying there with their dogs. Room was facing an alley way and it was very quiet. Bath was adequate size with full tub and shower. Definitely coming back and staying here for the Spring when the sun comes back out after all this snow!!!!! Good value overall.

Pros: Absolutely LOVED staying here. My boyfriend and I stayed here after the marathon. Bottled water when we arrived, champagne and the staff upgraded our room! We got there 3 hours earlier for check-in and because our Queen room wasn't ready yet and my boyfriend was visibly exhausted from the marathon, they gave us a King room that was ready. The rooms are the perfect size, comfortable bed, clean bathroom with amenities, and room service was fantastic. Free wine social hour by the fire was incredible. Hotel is centrally located with a lot of great food surronding. We'lol be staying here anytime we're in Philly!
Cons: 18% gratuity and 5$ service charge placed on the food service is a bit excessive. The lady (who was so sweet) brought the tray into our room and had me sign a receipt that had a tip option on it. Just mad it a little uncomfortable. It didn't take away how amazing the food was though!

Cons: We booked 12 rooms for bridal party for Friday and Saturday nights through Kayak, and also had arranged wedding block of 20 rooms through hotel. We were told by Kevin that bridal party could extend their stay to add Thursday night through the block, however when bridesmaid tried to do so, she said hotel did not cooperate and she booked a different hotel instead. Many of our booked rooms were not ready by hotel's check in time of 3 pm. Room and bathroom very small. Hotel was full during our stay; many long waits and delays with 4 elevators available.

Cons: 1) Room was extremely small and uncomfortable. 2) AC Fan cycled on and off every 15 seconds or so keeping me awake during most of my first night there. I reported this to the front desk and asked that it be fixed, but was not. I had to turn off the AC the next two nights in order to sleep. 3) We had booked several rooms for a wedding party. Only 1 was available for check in at the advertised check in time. 4) Only 4 elevators for a 25 story building made getting from floor to floor very difficult. For example: getting coffee and ice (each available at only 1 location in whole hotel) took an unacceptably long time due to long elevator waits. 5) Staff was not very helpful. One of our guests left an item in another room. I had to follow up with lost and found 3 times before I was able to get it back. 6) in short...while I've stayed in many hotels in my life, this is one of the worst experiences I have had. Next time I will stay in a Red Roof or similar....my experiences there have been much better. This was certainly the poorest "value for dollar" that I've ever experienced.

Great views of city (of your on the right side of the building). king size bed was nice to have although it wasn't especially soft. Room was cleaned every afternoon for when we returned. They have decent free wine ever day between 6 and 7. The hotel lobby and elevators and hallways were nicely decorated, full of art.
Cons: Room size was just average, didn't have much if any more room compared to other hotels. The shower was nothing special, same size and same shower head I would find at a 2 or 3 star hotel. Nothing was inclusive except for a few toiletries you may have forgotten at home. We had a weird Brown smudge on one of our end table drawers that room service had to clean up. Only 4 elevators for 25 floors of rooms was bad, if your in the top floor like we were we had to stop at 4-5 floors going up or down before we arrived at our room or the lobby. Ice is Only on one flone which is extremely inconvenient. These negatives were a big let down, overshadowing the positives for the price you pay.

Pros: We were in town for a wedding and gifted our reservation for Hotel Palomar to the newlyweds for the evening after their wedding. The staff at Hotel Palomar was fantastic- they quickly and easily added names to the reservation and a bottle of prosecco and lovely note was in the room when they arrived. They loved the room and we loved knowing they were well taken care of!

The decorations were modern and reflected the spirt of Philadelphia. The staff were courteous and pleasant; it seemed as though they really enjoyed being there.

Cons: I did not like how my room seemed like no one even checked it. The light switches coming into the room were not connected to anything, the smoke detector was dangling from its wires. The outlet next to the bed wasn't even connected to the wall so when I went to pull out my charger I pulled out the outlet as well. The heater in the bathroom also looked old, and stained. And the bed sheets had rips in them. The the amount of money that I spent on that one person room, I would have expected that it would have been a little better looked after.

Cons: This hotel is unsusuccessfully trying to be a luxury hotel, which it does look like. Looks aren't everything though. The way you're treated by the staff is most important in a luxury hotel. This where the Warwick falls flat on its face. The "doormen" never acknowledged us going in or out. When the bellman showed us to our room, we asked where the ice machine was, instead of filling our ice bucket, he showed us where we could get our own ice--pretty classy guy. Now for the maid service: When we showered the first morning, there ware only two hand towels, one of which we had to use as a bath mat. My husband asked one of the maids on our floor for a couple more hand towels. Her reply was that she had none! We had to call housekeeping to ask for extra hand towels and a bath mat. When our room was done that morning, we got a bath mat, but no hand towels. They also failed to replace our coffe, coffee cups and drinking glasses. We were givien an hour extension for check out, but our maid knocked on our door three times to ask when we were checking out. All three times she knocked on the door were before noon! If Radison wants to run this hotel as a high-end hotel, they need to actually train there entire staff how to serve their guests.

Water takes a long time to heat up as well. Also there was a fire that broke out the very first night of our stay. Everyone has to evacuate the room and stay in the lobby then got moved to the ballroom. We were able to go back to our roll in about an hour. Just our luck I suppose.

Cons: This stay (our 4th, but first since it's no longer a radisson) we encountered a MAJOR problem at 4am, and with two young children to be displayed in the middle of the night without our belongings was awful. The night staff and cleaning staff were great but the manager on duty was unbelievably awful, as if we inconvenienced her when her shift started at 8 -- 4 hours after we started dealing with the issue. Instead of commiserating with awful circumstances and asking how we could be helped to be comforble, she mostly left us to or own devices to figure out clothing, food, and basics for two little children who'd been up all night, and had to be pressured to provide basic information about a plan for us to be able to leave. Unreal.

Cons: Safety: We checked in with several couples. One couple opened the door to their room after checking in and heard the TV on and saw someone's work boots on the floor by the bathroom. The hotel clerk had given them the keys to someone else's occupied room! The next morning, someone opened the door to my husband's and my room while I was sleeping. I called out my husband's name and the person closed the door. My husband ran out of the bathroom and checked the hall, but no one was there. Thank goodness we had closed the extra security slider so they could only open the door about an inch. Otherwise, who knows what would have happened. After that, we were anxious the whole morning until checkout. Thank goodness our stay was only one night.

Pros: My wife is from the Philly suburbs and we like to take a trip down to Philly for a night each year in January to have something to look forward to after the holidays are over. We've previously stayed at the Sofitel and enjoyed it, but the Radisson Blu Warwick was considerably less expensive for a one-night stay this go-round so we decided to switch it up. We had a really nice experience. Our room was comfortable, though did not have a view at all except for the run-down building directly adjacent to the hotel. That's to be expected when booking through a third-party vendor, I suppose. Beyond that, we enjoyed the place quite a bit. Nice lobby, nice staff, decent beers on draught at the hotel bar and they even gave us a couple of toothbrushes and toothpastes when we realized we lost ours. We'd definitely stay again!
Cons: The shower took a considerable amount of time to heat up to a comfortable temperature, so just keep that in mind before you jump in and rush through a lukewarm shower. The in-room refrigerator was a nice touch but it actually wasn't set to cool, which we didn't realize until our leftovers spent the night in it. Our room was about 40 feet down the hall from the elevator bank, but we could hear the ding they make when the elevator arrives pretty clearly.

Not only this, the pillow has a strong smell and I could not use it at all for the whole night. The front desk Staff was not friendly at all, we are SPG gold member, when asked her if they have our gold number or not, she said yes. But, it turns out they don’t have our gold number key in at all when we checked that later evening after dinner. We started to complain to their manager, been told it’s too late so they could not make any difference to us. That being said, this is not a pleasant stay with La Meridien in Philadelphia.

Pros: The location is perfect for getting around the city with easy walking distance to the city center. The staff was attentive and the hotel was very clean and well maintained. The furniture and fixtures were all very new and modern while the building itself still had charming, old-fashioned architecture. Also, each floor has a filtered water dispenser and bottles that guests have access to 24/7.
Cons: I didn't mind that the room was small, but I felt like it was an inefficient use of space. There were no towel racks and nowhere in the bathroom to set any toiletries, bags, etc. The toilet was a very utilitarian public-style toilet that I thought clashed with the nicer fixtures and furnishings. We had to reuse the hand towel and bath mat, and request more wash cloths the next day. The rooms don't have their own irons, ironing boards, etc. but there is a large communal closet on each floor for guests to go get their extra things as needed. There is no continental breakfast. Very small elevators. You're definitely paying more for the location than you are for the amenities.

Michael answered the phone when we called ahead to arrange help with luggage at the front door, and there was someone there when we pulled up. Michael checked us in at the front desk and remembered talking to me on the phone. He immediately gave us a package that had arrived in advance and clearly explained the vehicle parking protocol. Pros: It was a very comfortable and clean room. Probably taller than it was long but unless you're bringing a pop-up trailer with you there's plenty of room. The bed's comfy and the shower is really nice. They had a hair dryer to use. There's no fridge but that's not a huge deal. I would have liked to have a safe since it is a city, but it's not in a rough area. Some people complained about the two elevators, which is a bit odd but not so much so that you should be like the one guy I passed who was trying to figure out how to get out of the lobby (I mean he got in there in the first place, somehow). There's a big mall with a food court right across the street and all manner of fast food in the block between 15th-16th not to mention most everything you'd want to see or do is basically walking distance (under 1-1/2 miles - South Philly/Italian Market, Liberty Bell/Independence Hall, Eastern State, City Hall, Chinatown). I'd really recommend the hotel, and that you do walk places, don't take the tourist bus, you'll see a lot you wouldn't otherwise. Someone else complained about the parking, I had no issues, it's a city, you pay to park, and it's not like you're walking more than half a block (it is literally across the street). WiFi speed: 18-20MBps was what I got.

Weird prioritize took of space, that made the suite feel awkward.

Pros: close to airport
Cons: water temperature in sink and shower was set to near boiling with no way to adjust it; showering wasn't possible with it so hot as it burned our skin. SPG discount of 5% for booking wasn't applied to our account since we booked through third-party (only because SPG made our account inactive and required us to call customer service to restore); faucet was covered in orange mold; shower window was covered in black mildew / mold. sad that Marriott is now merging with SPG as we have status with Marriott & wanted to check out an SPG hotel, such as the Aloft. Had a horrible experience with SPG so far.

Cons: When I picked up my luggage I called the hotel to find out where I should stand for a shuttle pickup, I was told they would send someone right away. 20 minutes later I called because the shuttle had not arrived. They said someone was right there. I called 10 minutes later, again they said someone was right there. They finally showed up over 30 minutes after my first call. Had I originally been told it was going to take that much time, I would have gladly paid for a taxi to go the 1.5 miles to the hotel. After a long day of travel delays, a late night arrival, this additional wait was frustrating.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and attentive.
Cons: There seemed to be several parties being held in the building. It was extremely loud with children and adults who didn't seem to settled down until after 2 am. Also there was a lot of banging on the walls.

Cons: Did not get the room I paid for because they sold out of rooms that said where available online. I understand things like that happen but I was not apologized to for the inconvenience and was felt to feel like it was my fault for using a third party website. Had I either gotten the room I paid for or was apologized to i would have given a higher rating.

Pros: Our shuttle showed up the second we walked out of the airport. From then on it was easy breezy: quick check in, slick room, clean pool, friendly staff, great stay!
Cons: Not much for food selection on-site and the coffee options were limited.

Cons: I was charged even though I called and cancelled immediately. The hotel manager has not called me back and I still have not received a refund even though I did not stay there.
Located in Center City, this hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Pennsylvania Convention Center, Reading Terminal Market and City Hall. Walnut Street and Jefferson University Hospital are also within 15 minutes. Race Vine Station is only a 4-minute walk and 13th St. Station is 9 minutes.

Cons: Front desk staff was so unpleasant and unprofessional. Elaine, was the woman that assisted both at check out and check in and both times the sense of urgency was absent. Showed lack of good customer service, talked with an attitude, like she was doing you a favor.

Cons: There were 2 employees staffing breakfast. One was obviously in her 1st day or 2 on the job and the other was a jaded and unhappy experienced staffer. The new trainee did all in her power to help, but at 8:40, there were: no plates, no cups, no eggs, no meat, both apple and orange juice was out and the staff was nowhere to be seen. When I approached the experienced staff, she acted smug and put out to bring any of it. Guests were milling about grumbling. The small refrigerator holding yogurt could not be completely closed (lock was extended) and therefore the inside continued to get warmer and warmer per the thermometer on the unit. Again the attendant did not seem to care. Other than the breakfasts, which were horrible experiences both mornings we were there -- the rooms were fine (we did have to have maintenance turn our A/C on as the room get stuffy and the control did not work). Front staff was kind and attentive. Note: Rooms facing the front of the building will hear road traffic from the interstate in front of Vine Street. If that's okay, I'd still avoid this hotel until they resolve the employee issues related to breakfast. She simply was not happy with her job and it absolutely showed. Blah. Not worth the hassle when there are so many other hotels near there with less stress in the morning for lower rates.

Pros: Breakfast was good and my room was clean. Easy access to the convention center and downtown.
Cons: Parking is terrible. Several blocks away and expensive. I did hear several times other guests complaining about their rooms smelling like smoke.

Cons: Staff was very rude and not helpful at all. We had many bags, and no one willing to help us with our bags. Any time we asked about information regarding the area, the staff's responses we negative and unhelpful. In the morning when we left for the airport, no one available to help us with our many bags in the cold and snow, and staff was unwilling to unlock lobby door to make transport of our bags easier. Will never recommend this hotel or stay here again.

Cons: Room was threadbare-- carpets frayed, wallpaper peeling, sink in bathroom cracked. Kitchen was mostly unusable because there was only one giant pot and one tiny pot. I chose the hotel because it had free shuttle to the airport and free breakfast. I needed to leave at 4:45am for the airport and the shuttle started at 5 and breakfast at 6 making my two main perks useless.

Pros: I liked the location and the spaciousness of the 2 bedroom unit. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good for a free breakfast.
Cons: Our room needed a remodel. It was clean but not super clean. Wall paper was peeling off. Carpet raised up in spots. The staff was not overly friendly or helpful. It seemed some workers were staying in the building. Not sure I felt very safe.

Pros: The front desk staff was upfront about the lack of cable AND internet; she offered me a full refund even though it was a non-refundable reservation.
Cons: After reading other recent reviews, it seems the hotel is probably going out of business / bankrupt. There is still no cable and now no internet. Front desk showed up about 5 minutes after I arrived & informed me of this as I attempted to check in. Grass is at least 2-3 ft high. Buildings look poorly maintained. Front desk staff referred me over to the hotel next door who was visibly angry and refused to serve me when I showed up without a reservation stating Hawthrown Suites sent me over.
