Cons: Room was not ready when we arrived , bedding ex sheets and duvet were horrible

Cons: I didn't like how in the morning I tried calling and calling but no one answered as I had to catch a 7am and was told the night before someone would be there all night but when I called at least 9 times no one picked up until 5:50 am and all I wanted to do was check out and leave

Cons: The bed was terrible

Cons: My pillow could have been a bit denser!

Cons: It’s an older hotel so there is no elevator and no air-conditioning. I have a bad back and stairs are difficult so having to go up to the third-floor was not easy. Luckily it was cool in the evening and overnight so the lack of air conditioning turned out to be Ok. It also would have been nice if there was some kind of complementary breakfast like Continental or just a small buffet but unfortunately there was not. Although they do give you a card when you check in that it allows you 15% off your meal in the restaurant that is located in the basement.

Cons: Bad wireless Internet - the only negative

Cons: Facilities are undergoing a major remodel. A bit noisy in the morning since they start early

Cons: The hotel is old, outdated and in desperate need of a facelift. You are definitely paying for location.

Cons: Construction is going on and was happening right outside our window but wasn't overly noisy. On our way to check out, further back inside the Laurel Wing there was some much louder construction going on which would've been unbearable $17 for parking when there's a $8 Robbins parking lot right there was a little steep

Cons: Heater did not work all too well, room couldn't get warm enough.

Cons: No hot tub, bathroom a bit dated

Cons: I booked a ocean view room and end up a roof top view with very angle ocean view. The bell man help us get to the room, he also said it doesn't look like a ocean view room at all. Beside, the room very dated and furniture, carpet are all smell. So, I decide to upgrade to a newer building and paid extra $50 just for one night. Very disappointed the front desk lady keep emphasized that is a ocean view room!!

Cons: It’s a great old building and staffed with excellent people. At triple the cost of most hotels are we getting triple the returns on our money? Hard to answer.

Cons: The facility is under complete renovation. It wasn't as grand as you'd expect. Although the rooms are super nice, I think for the price there are a million better deals to be had. It's slightly over hyped in my opinion.

Cons: Not up to the standards of other Fairmont Hotels we've stayed in. They messed up our meal reservations and even messed up the correction, so we never did eat there. Some staff really didn't seem to know what they were doing or could even answer or questions properly and never offered to find anything our or get back to us.

Cons: I have a problem with the ATM but they did not help me at all. They only said that the ATM is not of the hotel ,but I think they have to be more helpful in this cases.

Cons: Not one dining room open that children were aloud to eat! Overly expensive for what you get! $50.00 for a pot of tea!!!! Crazy. I guess they have the location that's about it!

Cons: Price was excessive compared to other hotels in the area. Considering the price, wifi was not included.

Cons: We got a knock on our door after 9pm for turn down service which normally wouldn't be a problem but our children were sleeping at the time.

Cons: The afternoon tea was enjoyable but definely over priced.

Cons: The room was a bit warm and may not have had air conditioning. We simply opened the windows and used a portable fan form the oversized closet area.

Cons: My only smallest complaint would be the expense. The hotel is very expensive, but the service largely drives that expense and it really made for a wonderful experience for me and my wife.

Cons: The room we got was ridiciuosly old, we had to wait two hours for a normal room which indeed was a good surprise. Staff was not always attentive and responding in a timely manner. Generally, we were expecting more from a Fairmont hotel...

Cons: Reserved a room with a king bed. We were traveling from Seattle via the clipper that couldn't sail due to the marine forecast. Once we realized our trip was going to take 7 hours via buss to reach the hotel, I called to notify that we would be arriving late and was assured my room would be ready and that we would have a king bed, not 2 doubles. We arrived at the hotel and no king beds were available. But then the representative said I could upgrade for $40 more per night and beaten down by the 7 hour trip I agreed to pay the fee. Then we get the bill and it was $60 + $4.85 PST + $1.21 MRDT + $3.03 GST. I understand that the taxes are what the are but should have been quoted them and the hotel should have honored the quote made on arrival. I was offered $10 per night discount by the manager but still feel mislead. As a Marriott rewards customer for years and one who has stayed at Marriott properties all over the world, I will not be returning to this property. The maid service was also poor. The room was not vacuumed nor were the sheets ever changed on our 3 night stay. Additionally when we arrived there was left over spoiled food in the fridge. Lastly they did not replace plates and silverware in the kitchenette and when we came back to the room with takeout, we had to eat out of plastic containers. I do not recommend this property. If you are accustom to Marriott service and hospitality, you will not find it here.

Cons: Wish the swimming pool had been larger, not quite big enough for lap swims, wish they had provided a changing room in the pool restroom. Wish they had provided a small fridge in the room.

Cons: Bed was very uncomfortable.
