By the time we picked up new boarding passes, we had already missed that flight as well and had to go to the customer service, which took another 45 min. Flight entertainment didn't work the first hour. There was a high pitched beeping sound during the whole flight (not the regular airplane noise)."

I usualy choose BA because its easy and non expensive to change dates in my flight but now I may be open to book with other airlines."

TV monitors in the middle and everyone has to watch the same thing. Of course, the sound system did not work for one entire side of the plane so I could only watch the movie and not hear it. If you are not going to have individual monitors for each seat, allow your passengers to what from their mobil devises like almost all other airlines are doing."

Those of us who had a connecting flight to ORD as the final destination had our luggage lost. When explaining the refuel in Bangor, the flight attendants were very condescending, rude, and one raised her voices in an aggressive way (while the passenger I witnessed did not). This particular flight attendant must have been personally upset by the delay the refuel caused, because she made sure she was the first to get off the plane. I fly internationally at least twice per year for the past several years, and I was horrified by the entire flight. I will now know better to pay a bit more for another carrier."

And their website for supposedly checking on lost luggage, aa.com/bag status, is next to useless. It gives no useful information. Use the 800 # but state you want to talk with a human when answering the questions in their phone tree. I’ve had other experiences on AA over the last few years that lead me to question their commitment to customer service. I’ll be avoiding American Airlines as a travel option where other alternatives are available."

Cons: "The plane was dated and small. There were no individual screens for entertainment. I've flown internationally with American before and felt this specific experience was worse."

Cons: "Baggage was damaged, which required a claim to be submitted. Company policy requires me to take the damaged baggage home, empty it, and return it to the airport. The airport is 1-1/2 hours from my house. They inconvenience me by handling my baggage like an ape and then continue to inconvenience me by requiring me to go way out of my way to get it repaired. American Airlines apparently does not understand what customer service means."

Cons: "Well I didn't like that we sat at the airport for nearly 10 hours after multiple flight delays and cancellations. Why not just let us know we aren't going to be flying out. That way you could reduce the 10 hour anxiety attack and mixed emotions coming with all the drama. I also didn't like that the only flight we could get the next day was into San Jose (not SFO which is what I paid for) there wasn't any offer of reimbursement for hotel, taxi or flight. I also missed 2 extremely important fairs that my company was expected to participate in on Saturday Morning. I didn't like that when we landed in San Jose our bags were in SFO. Then American Airlines didn't want to get us a ride to SFO which we finally received after a lot of arguing which I don't find ideal. I feel like AA didn't take any responsibility. They kept saying it was weather related which I can't accept because other flights (including AA) were coming and going the entire day!!! One customer service member said the plane we were supposed to be on had to be maintenances and another said they didn't have a flight crew. The whole day was a disaster and it cost my thousands of dollars and many many hours of stress and anxiety."

Pros: "He gave me a meal voucher in Dallas which made me feel a little better about the four hour delay until the next flight."
Cons: "I didn't like the idea that I've had a four hour delay due to the fact that the airplane and DeRego showed up an hour late. There were no explanations and no apologies. I got to Dallas I was furious complain to customer relations. I at least wanted them to let me in to the admirals club so I could be comfortable for the next four hours. They refuse that but one lady at the customer relations apartment did give me a meal voucher which made me feel a little better."

Cons: "Having to pay for luggage under the plane. I booked my flight 3 months in advance to sit with my wife and we got switched, fortunately I asked the man next to her to trade me seats. I ve flown to Managua about 7 or 8 times with American Airlines and this was my least favorite flight. People take up the space in the overhead compartments above my seat almost all the time then there is no space for mine."

Cons: "The selection of movies and tv shows was very poor. The plane was packed and the seats uncomfortable. The flight was delayed so we missed our connection and none of the staff could tell us where to go for more information.The worst international flight I've ever experienced."

Cons: "We arrived at St Stomas airport 85 minutes profile to our flights departure. The female manager, Latoya, at the desk was overly rude and completely out of line the way she was speaking to guests. Apparently American Airlines requests 90 minutes before departure to check you in, however their website does say they will try to accomadate customers that have arrived late. This employee refused 24 people access to the flight that we had booked and paid for. She related that she could put everyone on standby for the next and final flight out of Saint Thomas and standby for multiple connecting flights from Miami to many different parts of the country. This is because American Airlines over books their flights on purpose and has no problem leaving people stranded at an airport. Another employee related that it was easily accomplished to confirm is for the flight as we would have plenty of time prior to boarding since the aircraft had yet to arrive from its original location. American Airlines would not speak to any of the paid customers and would not look into other flights to see if there were other options to get customers home. When we boarded the plane there were still 4 customers that American Airlines stranded at the airport with no more flights out of the airport that day. This was an absolute disgrace and it was disgusting to see how the American Airlines staff were treating people. Their companies customer service has nothing to say other then sorry. I will never fly American Airlines again and now know why so many other people also feel this way."

Pros: "Treated very well. Shout out to a flight attendant whose name I think was Renee - I could be totally wrong. Female, lives in NC. A kind, friendly flight attendant really makes a flight pleasant - especially a long flight."
Cons: "The food, especially the snack, was awful. I'm not even sure what that snack was. I think it was melted cheese in bread. But it was bad."

Cons: "Plane landed in Pittsburgh an hour and a half late because of mechanical issues. So that was inconvenient."

Since the airline industry can't seem to get people (morons) to check their bags, why not have people who DO NOT have carry ons seated in the front, and those who refuse to check their bags seated in the back. That way, those of us who can just stand up and walk out can get out the way and those who have to struggle with retrieving their bags don't hold us up ???? It wouldn't slow the slow pokes down and it would let get out of the way."

Pros: "Flight was on time with no problems. Had to check my carry on due to lack of space but my bag arrived quickly at my destination so this was not a big deal."

Cons: "At the airport before collecting my boarding pass I was told to pay additional $25 for te baggage I was carrying! Am an international traveler and asked for an exception to be made for the waiver of that fee as I couldn't figure that out while booking my ticket online, the information was so poorly reflected on the website! Spoke to a supervisor on duty and she was extremely rude and terrible as far as listening was concerned! Maybe people can be more human during such times, listen and take some feedback rather than stating a loud no and asking straight away to pay?"

Cons: "The flight on the way west was awful. It left Albany almost two hours late making me miss my connection to LA. At Newark airport the next two flights were overbooked so United put me up in a hotell The next morning the first two flights were overbooked but they put me on the third flight. That was supposed to come into LAX a half hour early but a passenger became very ill so they landed in Des Moines for the medical emergency. I realize that wasn't United's fault, but I don't think it should have taken so long to take off, and we were well over an hour late upon arrival."

Cons: "The prior flight was delayed because after taxing, a crew wanted to remove an uncooperative passenger and went back to the gait. Subsequently, we arrived in Washington DC with only a few minutes before our next flight Albany was scheduled to leave. Because we had to do check our carry-on bags, we were 5 minutes later to the gait where the airline refused to wait for us to board although another passenger who did not have to wait for her bag was able to board the flight Albany. We therefore had to take a shuttle to Reagan international Airport, fly on a different airline to Hartford Connecticut, rent a car and drive 2 hours to finally reach our destination in Albany."

Pros: "I purchased a seat with extra legroom and It was comfortable, the staff was accommodating, and the entertainment was good."
Cons: "The food was not good, salad was old, and overall not good."

Cons: "The comform of the seats was very poor. Entertainment only worked half way. Stewards did not ask if I wanted to eat or not. Only pessengers on the alley seats were asked. Very little attention was given to make passengers comfortable."

Pros: "We enjoyed the ability to have beer and wine included. We thought the meals going to Tel Aviv and on the return were very tasty, good portions, and served at the appropriate times. We loved the choices of movies/tv that were updated and new and also included."
Cons: "The only issue we had was getting up to go to the bathroom midflight. There was some slight turbulence and the attendants demanded we sit down for safety (it wasn't too bad though) yet once we got back to our seats the turblence was fine, and we got up to go again and the same thing happened. There were long lines for the bathrooms. I'm not sure if that can be avoided though."

Cons: "Did not appreciate the flight attendants at all. VERY rude staff. Not considerate by making everyone wait a LONG time to serve food, which was not served in a friendly manner at all. It was quite obvious they did NOT care about our comfort or experience. Would NOT recommend unless I'm desperate and feel like being around people who hate their job and want me to know it."

I guess you get what you pay for...no frills. Crew was very nice."
