Cons: "I had paid for an upgrade to sit in the front of the cabin with extra legroom (row 14A). When I boarded a man sat it my seat. He had not paid for the upgrade, but the crew let him stay in my seat. I had asked him to social distance but he continued to sit right behind me bo matter which seat I moved to. He argued with the crew until they gave up and let him stay. They did not check his boarding pass or ask him to move to his assigned seat I found a different seat away from him but I don’t see the point in paying for extra legroom when the crew let’s people who haven’t paid for it sit it those seats. I felt harassed by the man and was very uncomfortable the whole flight. I am considering my next step, I think I should at least receive a refund for the upgrade I paid for."

Pros: "Due to business I travel allot so I deal with allot of airlines. This is by far the best airlines I have used. Excellent crew and airport staff. I don’t think words can express how satisfied I am with this airlines and airport. The nicest people and great service. Clean and modern aircraft. Going to try flying only with KLM from now on."

A few rows up they had fans, so apparently you have to pay extra for air... Cons: "Was not informed that checking in online is the only way to secure a seat. So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

Cons: "Seats on the 777 were too narrow. This 777 had a 3-4-3 seating arraignment, it would have been better with a 3-3-3, similar to a 787 configuration. With the current layout, even with an aisle seat, I was sitting in the aisle. And I am not a large person! The flight was full, so use the 787 and two daily non-stops. For a twelve hour flight, the food was only Okay, could have been better and with a better selection. Meal timing was poor."

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Whether it's her personal opinion or KLM's policy, it's unreasonable to think that a 3 years old child could or should hold her pipi over 20 minutes, while they slowly and inefficiently trying to give out food. Several parents were there with the request to let us through to the toilet with small children and she smiled in our face and said "no, we will finish first and than you can go". She might be not fit for the job anymore, but KLM can't afford this kind of treatment."

Cons: "Flight delayed ... Myself and three other colleagues didn't have our luggage show up from KLM flight from Amsterdam to Brussels...even though all of our luggage was labeled "priority". Once in customer service line, we looked and saw that many of the other passengers on our flight also never received their luggage. We estimated that 20-25% of the people on that flight did not receive their luggage as they were in line with us for the same problem. Hard to understand how so many pieces of luggage could have been overlooked and not loaded on our flight. Obviously there is a huge gap in their quality system to ensure mistakes like this are prevented."

We had trouble locating the receipt and we were not given an explanation as to why we needed it again. We were traveling with 5 kids including an infant and we were not allowed to board until we found the receipt. I thought surely they would have record that I had paid, but I guess not. We were the last to board and all very stressed out. The staff seemed not to care the least in our troubles."

Almost like the doors over the wheels were stuck. Again kinda unnerving. Once airborne everything was smooth."

Cons: "We started to board on time and after group 1 boarded, they said they pulled the crew for a different flight and we needed to wait til 1:30 AM ( 2.5 hours delay) to board. Then 30 minutes later they called us back after finding another crew. It was very chaotic and made not sense"

Cons: "Flight was late close to one hour because of catering. No prior notices - we were left to stand for more than an hour in front of gate. Surely and nasty elderly citizens made up the flight crew including pilots. About the same service you get from a Siberian gulag prison guard. No communications from pilots. Despite delays and turbulence we were kept in the dark."

Cons: "United organized boarding by zones (1, 2, 3, 4) where 1 is in the front of the aircraft (business) and 4 is at the back. While I appreciate that business travelers should have priority boarding, the order of coach is from front to back. It would be beneficial to begin coach boarding from the back to the front to reduce the traffic on the aisles."

Cons: "I missed my connecting flight from Newark to Ft. Lauderdale due to a 30 minute weather delay, and then an hour long delay imposed by Newark Airport due to air traffic volume. I had to sleep (barely due to all of the nighttime maintenance going on) on the damn floor by my standby gate because I couldn't afford a hotel and United refused to pay for one."

Cons: "Airline would not help in any way. Tried rescheduling flight and they wanted to charge me over $500 when I could simply book a $170 Delta flight. I thought they'd help me replace my ticket with another or at least something, but I guess we all know now how United treat their passengers."

Cons: "On the flight from Tucson to Houston we experienced United's personal entertainment where you could use your iPad to watch movies. On the reverse flight, this flight that I'm reviewing, this amenity was not offered. As far as boring goes, the TSA in Houston was rude in the boarding sign said pre-boarding only so we were waiting and I almost missed the flight because the sign never changed."

Pros: "Chicago to Paris flight. Went relatively smooth. Crew was pleasant. Plane was as comfortable as what you'd expect on a plane. Upgraded to economy plus due to the long flight time and leg room was adequate. Large free movie and TV selection was offered which was a nice surprise and bonus."

So why did I have pillows on my mid-day HKG-NRT flight, but no pillows on the redeye (0145 departure) HND-HKG? I was shocked. I used my shoes as a pillow. Really shocked! I don't expect pillows on an LCC or other cost-conscious carrier, but HND-HKG in the middle of the night? Really??"
