It was also a great experience except to the inconvenience of connecting flights since we need to took buses to go to another terminal and the boarding was easy but if you manage to find the terminal in time. Still it was a great experience with Kayak and Emirates.

My overall experience on this flight from CAI-DXB on Emirates was great because of the wonderful crew, on top was their Supervisor/ Adel A.Hamid El-Hareth. On the contrary my decision after an experience with Emirates on board from DXB-LAX, was never to repeat it due to Crew Supervisor, she was British, she was there on board I guess to teach everybody disciplines with a tone !! Someone exceptional to meet once in life but it may bring you to a decision along with other factors not to fly again with Emirates to LAX. For example: - fully reclining seats with mattresses that enable sleep - attentive, thoughtful service - a lounge in which to get a drink or snacks, relax, talk with people - good food and drink - a personal bar at your seat with water and soft drinks We've also flown Emirates in tourist class, and it, too, is far superior to most other airlines. There's more seat room, more leg room, good service, clean bathrooms, and decent food and drink."

Cons: "In cochin to Dubai flight , There was no space to put my carry on baggage, I ask the crew to find the place and put it, but one of the crew said there is a place in the front but she cant take it there, I told her if it is above my seat and close to my seat I don't mind to put , some body taken my space its your responsibility to find the place and put it. then she called her supervisor and the supervisor told me the bag is heavy for her, (the bag was only 7 kg). I have to take the bag all the way to front. The crew is very lazy and too much attitude, wont fly this flight any more."

The service was not as expected, took me more than 25 min to get a flight attendant to reach my seat to request a glass of water... when I went to the back of the plane to get water I was told to get back to my sest since seatbelt sign was on (it happend to be turned on for 12 hrs over a 14hr flight... Other than that service is better, than modt of US airlines. I flight frequently and I have boarded Emirates before, economy and business, I feel that they do not deserve best airline qualification for economy, fir example KLM is much better."

Everything went smooth. All flights were on time No changing gates, . No changing flights . It was like a completely different airlines tha n the last time I used Cathay Pacific . The last flight, 2 months ago, I had before this one was from Philippines also . I got changed in Manila and was told it only added 2 hours onto my flight . My 20 hour return trip ended up being 30 hours return with a 10.0 hour layover in New York with no seats anywhere . Everyone was sleeping or sitting on the floor . Unlike the hotel I was given in Manila to wait for this flight home . I never thought I would use Cathay Pacific again . But I did and this time you were great! I should have complained about the flight and layover from Hell a couple months ago. Consider that I am complaining about that august/23 flight now . Thank you got the great flying experience on my way home from philippines .

My personal TV's touch screen wasn't working so I complaint to stewardess, who asked her manager, Ms Jacky to come, she resent the system which worked and then stopped again. I again complaint but by the time Ms Jacky came the system started working again so she said "I did not know how to use touch feature. I was touching it too hard."
Pros: "The service from start to finish was superb. The flight to Hong Kong had the on board attendants at full service the whole journey. Blankets and pillows were supplied as standard and plenty of complimentary food. There was a genuine sense that the on board attendants wanted you to be as comfortable as possible."

On the flight back the seats where very uncomfortable, they where so bad that my back started to hurt after the first 2 hours. I can sit in a wooden chair for 2 hours. But these where just horrible, it just shows how cheap the airline has become. And the cabin was heated all those people in a heated cabin during a night flight. It was clear the climate control was not working. To top that off you are not even offered a glass of water, these people are animals.
We purchased a Go First Pass for 10 Euros each so we could board first, but everyone was able to board at the same time so we wasted 20 Euros. The flight left ab out 15 minutes late and was not allowed to land at Healthrow so we had to circle Heathrow for about 45 minutes. This caused us to almost miss our flight from Heathrow to Atlanta.

It would be nice to have vegan options for meals. The entertainment was not working on the the way to Austria. It was only available near the end of flight to Canada. The service was excellent.

Pros: "I could not fault anything with this flight. I arrived 2.5 hours before my flight, was able to drop my bag (I kept it to 20kgs) and pass security all within 15 minutes. Boarding was efficient and the seat quite comfortable. I was asleep before take off and didn't wake until 30 mins before landing. For any airline that many complain about - there is nothing I could fault. Yes - it is cheap and yes there are restrictions but if you follow the advice ie pack to the kg limit, arrive as per the airline suggestion for checkin and be at the gate when required and pre-order any food (or eat before the flight) - there is nothing I can complain about - it was cheap and I was able to be where I needed to be 10 min ahead of schedule. Staff were friendly and helpful."

This was not true of my connecting Bangkok to Macau flight. They had absolutely no changes nor refund and the fares ended up to be high (just look at all of the stupid things discount carriers nickel and dime you for). My advice, stick to full service airlines like Air India as you spend less in the long run. Those budget carriers should be called "bait and switch" carriers as they bait you with low initial fares but then add on until the costs are almost twice what was advertized!"
