Poor for pick up. One employee at BWI airport desk. At times, 5-8 people in line. At one point, a customer returned his car rental to exchange for another one for some issue, breaking in front of line. Car not vacuumed upon pick up. No employees in sight to ask questions. I recommend Avis management have a sit down with BWI staff. Sooner than later.Reviewed 2024 Oct 06

Car was not ready upon arrival even though we booked 2 months ahead. Had to wait over an hour after a very long flight, and had a 2 1/2 hour drive ahead of us. Agent was rude & seemed unconcerned. Car itself was fine, but customer service was poor.Reviewed 2024 Oct 05

The windshield inside and out was dirty the car was dirty even though I was told it was just washed. The cup holders had sticky residue. I ended up having to clean the windshield inside and out and the cup holders and everything else that I was going to be touching. Nothing looked clean everything was dusty. When I arrived at Avis, they simply said “will a pick up truck be acceptable?” I said yes and then she ran my card. At no point did she tell me that she was up charging me versus what I booked. At no point did I sign anything. I was told where to go to pick it up. That was it. I was asked to buy a damage waiver, but there was nothing to indicate pre-existing damage (there was some - in fact the bumper was touching a pillar in the parking garage.) Imagine my surprised when I got a significantly higher than expected bill. Avis did this same thing to my wife a couple months ago. They claimed she agreed to it and produced and electronically signed document.Reviewed 2024 Oct 04
