Budget charged me $50.00 for a car they would not give me because I don't have a credit card. They had no problem charging my debit card for the money though. It's absolutely ridiculous since most people that would rent from a car company called "Budget" most likely don't major credit cards. I want my money back.Reviewed 2022 Apr 05

I made a reservation a week and a half or so before I got to the airport, I needed the car so I could continue on my way when I landed in Huntsville. When I got there they had no cars, said they ran out. I had to find somewhere local to stay last minute. Which was a huge inconvenience at 10pm. it's bad enough that you can make a reservation and somehow they give the car to someone else, it probably would have been better if they had cancelled my reservation so I wasn't landing with the expectation that I was going to pick up a car.Reviewed 2022 Mar 30

The online reservation was easy, the airport pickup was easy, the people working at the counter were very pleasant and friendly, which, considering the sometimes less-than-pleasant people they often have to deal with, was wonderful. Drop off couldn't have been easier.Reviewed 2021 Dec 16

Pros:When I arrived to pick up the car, the car I reserved was available. I was informed that I could accept a two-car downgrade or an upgrade to a 15 passager van. Needless-to-say, neither was acceptable. It took nearly 45 minutes to convince the agent to request a car trade with one of the other renCons:trading a car with one of the other rental car agencies, in order to honor the rental agreement should have been the 1st option. I was eventually given a Malibu instead of the premium vehicle that was listed on my reservation. Additionally, the car's gas tank was only 3/4 full. Better service.Reviewed 2019 Aug 14

Pros:The only positive was I didn't have to wait to present my ID and form of payment.Cons:After making a reservation, no car was available at the location I specified. They ask if I would mind driving 30 minutes away, to the airport, to pick one up. I was finally able to get the car I reserved by driving to another location anyway. Fortunately, it was only about 3 miles away.Reviewed 2019 May 24

Cons:The car they gave me had been smoked in!!!! I requested a change to same size car they gave me one but was not the same size car and it started to roar on the way back I think it was the tires are bearings??? the lady I spoke to was not concerned that I was delayed for my trip!!!!! because of a smoked in car!!!!!!!!! I don't like budget car rental at this location I had an issue before with them but was forced to go there because there were no cars at my home location.Reviewed 2018 Mar 29

poor service on a budget by Rodney HeathingtonPros:Poorly managed. Not dependable at all. I will never schedule anything else with company.Cons:I booked a car rental about 4 1/2 months out for trip to texas and not only was my rental was not ready but they informed us that thy did not carry this vehicle that we booked. It would have made sense to notify us sooner than to come to bubget the day of trying to obtain the vehicle and being told that we don't carry this type of vehicle . If i knew sooner then there's no foul, but to wait until the last minute to inform us is bad business.Reviewed 2017 Sep 05
