The staff was very friendly and understanding. She was patient with the... complicated customer in line in front of us and very still had a fun conversation with us. Turning the vehicle in was quick and painless.My only complaint was that when we picked up our vehicle there was one person at the counter no one to help her.

Never made it to my carNot applicable. I flew into Chattanooga Airport to find that the rental was off- lot, which was fine. I was told that there was a shuttle that Dollar provided for customers. I waited for a little bit, as I was told that it came around. After 20 minutes, I began to call the rental. I tried calling for 25 minutes and NO ONE answered the phone. It was getting late and I ended up having to use a different company. I ended up getting charged way more. I am extremely disappointed with Dollar and the inconvenience caused. Kayak quoted me $23, ended up paying over $60 at Dollar. I reserved an economy car as I was wanting something good on gas and was given a Jeep SUV. Not at all what I was expecting! Should have gone to Enterprise!

Will not rent from Dollar.Did not rent.When we arrived at Dollar they informed us of several new charges... a charge for using a debit card, which was a Visa card and considered a major credit card. Most companies just hold a deposit on your card - they wanted to charge us additional fees per day. Also, they wanted to charge us additional fees for traveling to Indiana.. we had a reservation with unlimited miles and did not know about extra charges to additional states. So what was supposed to be a $38 rental turned into $99 in a matter of minutes. They also had to speak personally to our insurance agent (never had to do this before). We ended up not renting the car and driving our own vehicle which cost us 2 hours of driving time going back and forth to the rental company. I think the change was due to high demand on rentals for that weekend with several festivals going on in the area - they could get more for the vehicle with other rentals. Will not book rental cars through Dollar again.

The Dollar Rent A Car is located offsite at the airport. They are the only company, or so it appeared, that was like this. The other companies have their rental windows right next to baggage claim and the rental cars not too far outside the door. Walking around, it was confusing and not easy to understand where you were suppose to connect. The signage telling you to call them for a shuttle blends in with other airport advertising. Once you call for a shuttle you have to wait outside for 10 minutes and wait for the shuttle, take the 5 minute drive to the car rental place. I arrived at 11 :15 p.m. Their lot was dark and it didn't feel real safe. The car was OK. It was clean and it ran, but the overall hassle of not being at the airport would have made me pay a little extra for convenience.

kayak this is on youNothingFlying into CHA why would you present any rental cars not at the airport. I had no way to contact them and wound up getting a car from the Hertz counter. I'll never use Kayak again.

The price was fabulous. The personnel were nice and gracious. The car was economical on gas. The shuttle driver was prompt both times. The cruise control worked properly. The car was relatively clean.The air conditioner did not work. It would only cool on the Maxair setting. It took me quite a while to figure this out. It was off airport. I had to take a shuttle back and forth. I had to inspect the car myself for any damage caused by the previous driver. An employee had not come to work for this shift, so it was left all to only 1 nice man to do both of their work. I paid for a Toyota Corolla. I received a tiny car with 4 doors. I was not instructed how to find any controls. I think it was a red escort. When I was getting on the highway, I noticed there were no lights, and I had to pull over and read the manual in the glove compartment. The wiper on the rear window was on, and I did not know how to turn it off. I had difficulty turning on and off the interior lights.
