It was easy to reserve online. The staff were friendly and helpful at the counter. The car was clean and comfortable and had great gas mileage. I thought the $500 deposit for using a debit card was excessive, but it was refunded when I turned the car back in. It was easy to extend the rental by calling. The main issue I had wasn't due to Dollar car rental. The company is located in the Asheville airport and it was confusing trying to find the counter. There was no parking available because traffic has to keep moving in front of the airport, so when I got dropped off to pick up the car my friend had to keep circling around until I let him know that I had secured a rental. It's a good walk from the counter to the parking deck where the rentals are located. The day before I returned the car, I had to go to the rental counter to show them my temporary license since the license I originally gave them expired in the middle of the rental. There was nowhere to park and when I tried to park in the parking deck so I could run over and give them my license, the parking deck attendant asked a lot of questions and seemed confused about what I was doing. I had to keep explaining until he understood so he would allow me to park there temporarily. This could have been avoided if there was a better parking situation, or if they had allowed me to email or text a copy of my temporary license.Reviewed 2026 Sept 17
