Pros: The Fiat upgrade was fun and the check in service super
Cons: At drop off it was not clear on what to do and after figuring out I needed to drop the key in a hole I realized my bag was in the car. After a good stressful hour and zero help from Europcar somebody exited the garrafa and luckily I was able to collect the key. Horrible drop off service. I would have hated to be in a car accident after hours
Pros: We ended up liking Fiats...everything else was completely dominated & overshadowed by a level of customer service difficult to describe...
Cons: Let's be clear the car, a Fiat, was an outstanding auto, but--- How this company gets away with its level of customer service is stunning...to start the up-selling at time of pick-up, no matter how friendly, is manipulative & simply a money grab; but then---we had a terrifying incident where we forced into a wall by an oncoming motorcycle who appeared to do it on purpose; car was scraped & dented; repeated phone calls to Europcar went to voice mail with NO response to messages; repeated emails were ignored except 2 weeks later we got their standard "difficult question, need time to answer" response, which they always eventually send no matter the question; [I'm still waiting for a response to one I sent in January!!]......of course there was no one in the office to talk with when we dropped the car off in Florence, but I think they will blame that on our "early" flight time, 9:55am...and today we got the bill: after renting the car for a month for 221 euros plus liability insurance, [plus other difficult-to-understand charges], our final bill is 1708 euros...it is going to take longer than our vacation lasted just to figure out the bill!!
Pros: great service and very helpful
Cons: I would have liked to know what options the car had. I would liked if it had cruise control as I was doing a lot of long distance highway driving and an auxiliary input or Bluetooth for the stereo so I could have listened to recordings/audible books/podcasts from my own phone In the future how would I know this information ahead of time?
Pros: The car was decent and clean and worked well for what I needed. I was able to pick up the car an hour early.
They charge me additional €75
Pros: I didn't like the fact that they vhare me €75 even though I had a full insurance protection.
Cons: Hard to find drop-off at Florence Airport
Pros: Everything went smoothly and was exactly how I had planned it. Car was clean, modern, and the preexisting damage was well documented. I decided to change my drop off date and location mid trip, after a very short phone call to the Florence office where I picked it up Europcar was able to make the changes without incident. Great experience

Cons: The insurance charge was as much as the rental. If you declined the insurance, ,which I usually do,if something happened there was a 90 euro "administration fee" So they had you either way. Check in process should be quicker and more automated like Emerald Aisle in USA.
