Car could have used a bit more of a cleaning, had many scratches, and a damaged fender. I asked that they take the car out into the light so we could document the damage which seemed to annoy when checking out the car. We were unfamiliar with San Juan and were sold coverage for tolls or told there would most likely be a $50.00 charge for unanticipated tolls ... once agreed to, they added a $9.95 charge to enroll. Bit of a scam. They also seemed unhappy we had purchased insurance through Kayak online. However, everything worked out in the end.
The experience was great as far as the customer service the staff was very nice however, the wait was incredibly long.
Terrible experience. One person running the counter with a massive line, it takes about 15-20 mins per person.Was there for 4 hours just waiting to get to the counter for a car already reserved. They try and get you with the sticker chip for tolls that yes you are going to use while driving in PR, but not for the price of 10 plus tax a day. Only if you have the car for a weekend that might make sense, but I was going to pay $250extra just for that, which for a local for me, that’s crazy. The car just got returned, it was dirty on the inside, barely washed on the outside, the indoor lights did not work, no wiper fluid and so many other things. The car horn was also not working, a literal safety feature that every car should have was not working. Overall a horrible experience. The cheap price is not worth it in my opinion and if that’s not convincing enough, look at the Google reviews for more like this.
I have use this location multiple times and this time around the wait was a little less 40 minutes instead of almost 2 hrs was way better. The person at the counter was just ok not so inviting had her the last time as well she was not so friendly. I feel if they had more employees they would have a smooth transition. It was about 10 in the morning and just 2 guys getting cars for customers. Drop off at 4am worst just 2 guys working the counter and no one else working i try to inform him my car had roaches and needed fluid he stated just 2 of us working he did his best to take my complaint.
Really bad experience. Just one guy dispatching vehicles, lost 4 hours waiting to get my car and I had to return to exchange it because was full of cockroaches 🪳. Went back to do the exchange and the line still all the way outside at 1 am with kids and elder standing around…unfortunately and unacceptable…..
Had to return original rental because it was unsanitary, filthy infested with roaches. The replacement was cleaner; but had been in so many accidents parts of the car were taped on and continued falling off. Two doors couldn’t be opened simultaneously. We made the best of a bad situation!!!! Never again!!! Yes, I have pics and videos to confirm my statement .
