Despite having a booking i was told they had no cars, so they made me go to multiple locations back and forth before they would confirm and provide me a car. it took me 5-6 hours to resolve the issue with the agents. One agent at Frankfurt Oest location blatantly lied to me that they had no cars despite them having cars. Then asked me to go to FRA airport to get a car, when i went there they said mu booking was with the Oest location so i should go back there for my car and confirmed that location indeed has cars. So i again went back to the East end store and got a car. i had originally booked a Auto trans car but finally they ended up giving me a manual car and called it an upgrade!! when i finally left the car office it was ~1:30am. they assured me they will call and give me another car but they never gave me the replacement. terrible company and customer support, no help whatsoever from their team!Reviewed 2023 Oct 10

The paperless transaction resulted in my paying much more I add-one than I realized. I couldn’t see the impact of the charges, and the salesman smoothlyexplained them in a way I did not follow well. I will demand to see the figures in writing next time. Also,the navigation system in the car needed updating - several times we were on a major autobahn or cloverleaf where we needed guidance, and the nav system thought we were in a field.Reviewed 2022 Nov 08

No one inspected the car with me when I picked up the car, the existing damages were written in text and not shown in picture so obviously it was not clear and there was existing damages missing from the file. Luckily I had taken videos to make sure I don’t get screwed at drop off. The car was dirty from inside and outside. There was Tobacco everywhere in the car. At drop off I got accused of a damage that was there before me and I had to show my videos so I sent multiple emails and waiting for responseReviewed 2022 Nov 06

I missed when booking that pickup was not at the airport. I though that’s how a booked it, apparently not. After flying all night I had to take and pay for a taxi into the city of Frankfort. Was a costly and stressful situation. I wish there was a stronger indication that it was not at the airport, especially when dealing with a foreign country.Reviewed 2022 Oct 11

We had to wait in a huge line that took 3.5 hours to pick up our rental car that we reserved and paid a deposit for online. We were exhausted from our long flight and jetlag. There was nowhere to sit. It was very poor service from Sixt. This is the last time I will be renting with them.Reviewed 2022 Oct 02

Waited in line for 2 hours to pick up car, then was told that they gave away all of the cars in our preferred body type because "we were late"! We ended up with a full-sized gas guzzling car that wound up costing us MUCH more money. Dropped the car off 2 days earlier than expected and somehow still got charged the full amount for the rental?? Never again.Reviewed 2022 Sep 29

Had to wait in line a solid hour to get to a counter agent at Frankfurt airport to p/u my car. Way under staffed. Staff were decent but obviously stressed. No fun for anyone! When returning, I walked past the rental counters again, and saw that this time the line up for Sixt was at least 3 times as long, so likely a 3 hour wait in line to p/u a car. What a mess. Both times, Sixt had by far the longest line up of all the car rental companies. Given that most customers book their rental car in advance, this is a problem with an obvious solution -- pay enough to attract/train/retain sufficient employees to meet known customer demand! Very frustrating to see only half the rental counter spots staffed during peak times. Or get with the times and set up a proper express p/u system whereby customers fully registered with Sixt can by-pass the counter and head straight out to pick a car, as is typically/smoothly done in North America.Reviewed 2022 Sep 14
