The vehicle had a sticker on the door saying it was cleaned. A baby sock was found in the back hatch area, which should have been easily found if cleaned. The worst part was a strong odor coming from the driver side back seat. Terrible smell, I drove straight from NY to Fl. Don't use a debit card unless you only want a maximum of a full size car. I requested an SUV because I had to travel and the weather got pretty bad. I had to downgrade to the Maxima and the handling was terrible. I understand there's rules but my debit card has more cash on it than most credit cards. They could have done a larger deposit or something to secure the vehicle I requested. I needed the vehicle so I couldn't cancel or change things.2.8 Poor

The price was much more affordable than Hertz's car rental for a driver under 21 years of age, although a little excessive.Cons:
The car was parked very close to a car on the left, which made it very difficult for me to get into the car initially. The car was not clean when I first entered it. The steering wheel was oily and there were crumbs from food on the floor and under the emergency brake. The windshield wipers had some sort of sticky residue under the rubber, not allowing me to properly wipe my windshields. Visibility was low during my road trip, making driving somewhat dangerous.2.0 Poor

After I got re-routed to a different airport, my 24-year-old son had to pick up our car instead. I was worried because I thought you had to be 25 to rent. There was a small fee associated with it, but he was able to pick up our car with no problems, last minute. Thank you!10.0 Wonderful

Cons:
Our flight was delayed by over an hour and by the time we landed the rental counter was closed. I was unable to contact them due to the fact that I followed the rules by turning my cell phone off once the cabin door was closed. I feel that hertz should ensure all flights are in prior to closing. I call customer service and told it was completely my fault and I was left stranded over 60 miles from final destination. I was only told to get a hotel room and wait til morning. This would all have cost me more money that I was not willing to spend. I will never rent from hertz again even as a last resort.National
