Cons: "Crew woke us up to ask us if we wanted food. I've only ever been woken up before for safety reasons (seat belts, etc) We were not impressed with the arrival in Dubai. We came in a large plane and had to deplane very far from the terminal onto buses, down a long set of stairs. They did not send enough buses so we waited on the hot outside stairs for about 15 minutes. It took us a full 45+ minutes from landing to get to the actual terminal. We were grateful we had a long layover or we would not have made our connecting flight!"

The agents would talk amongst themselves but there were no announcements. With the result that everyone rushed at once for boarding. The lady agent who was scanning the passes kept yelling at people to form a line but by then it was too late On the flight, they ran out of vegetarian meals by the time they got to my seat!!"

Cons: "I had a terrible experience on my flight from BLR to LAX on 12/30/2016. My flight from BLR was delayed for 3 hours because of fog. I had a connection flight from Dubai at 3:15 pm the same day and I was going to miss it. I had a flight from LAX to SFO(I had booked this separately via a domestic airlines) on the 31st at 10 am. The ground staff at BLR told me that they would put me on the 8:30 am flight to LAX on 31st. That would mean more than a 12 hour wait at Dubai airport and they informed me that accommodation would be provided. Based on this I rebooked my LAX to SFO(I paid extra for this) for the next day. On reaching Dubai I was told that I will be put on the 3:30 pm flight on 31st instead of the 8:30 am flight. That would mean a 20 hour wait at the airport. I was also given a SINGLE food voucher and told that no hotel accommodation would be provided. I was also going to miss the LAX to SFO flight which I had rebooked. I requested the ground staff to try and put me on a direct flight to SFO instead. After begging them for a while they put me on a stand by status on the 7:30 am flight the next day. I spent 12 hours in the airport. That flight was further delayed by 3 hours. When my husband contacted the customer service on 31st morning, they told him that accommodation would be provided and sent me an email confirming that. This was in the morning after I had spent 12 hours in the airport. If accommodation was available why was I told by the ground staff that all rooms were full? I also saw them hand out hotel vouchers to other passengers with shorter wait times than mine. Was it based on their nationality(I sincerely hope not but the reviews I am reading of Emirates online suggest otherwise). Fog and other weather conditions are completely understandable but the discriminatory behaviour of the ground staff in Dubai was really disappointing. This new year weekend was my honeymoon and it was completely ruined because of this trip."

Would strongly recommend that automatic default seating selection for passengers booked on the same ticket should be for all of them to be seated together, right from the time the ticket is paid for rather than having to individually select where each passenger sits."

Cons: "You need to do a better job of placing families together. I moved from my seat twice in this first flight because of poor seating choices you provided for families and young women. The first move was because a father wanted to sit next to his young son. The second was because a young women was uncomfortable sitting in a row of men. I started with an aisle seat but had to move to a middle seat through all of this. I gave up my comfort to ensure that other passengers were properly taken care of. You should only hope that others will be willing to do the same."

Cons: "My trip had just started and it is already ruined. I have a roundtrip ticket from NYC to Israel with a connection in Ukraine for both directions. I was traveling with one checked item in luggage - suitacse, and one personal item onboard - a guitar in a soft case. I'm a professional musician and I've been traveling with this exact instrument in the exact for over 5 years, domestically in the US and all over the world. I've never had any problems with it and I was always treated respectfully even with low cost airlines or on smaller airplanes. There were no problems on the first part of the flight from NYC to Kiev, and then, as I was boarding a the flight from Kiev to Israel, the counter employee at the gate counter (her first name is: Yejzina) - explained to me that if I won't pay an additional 66 EURO immediately, I would not be able to board on the flights with my guitar. I was even more upset to find out that another passenger boarded the flight after me with a guitar and did not have to pay for it. My guitar fit perfectly in the over head cabin and even on a packed flight there was no issue with headroom caused by me. Although I paid and purchased a ticket for this flight, I was discriminated and treated as if I was doing something wrong. I did my best to be responsible and be among the first people to board the flight and instead I was mistreated. The rest of the passengers had exceptional amount of excess baggage in suitcases and bags they wanted to take on board and yet I was the only one who was asked to pay for his. --- As a costumer, I am appalled by the treatment I was getting and I would like to be contacted immediately about reimbursement over my experience and false costs."
