Pros: "I have flown Turkish Air many times since 2010, and used to like the airline. Not so much anymore. I would say their entertainment center and food are pretty good."
Cons: "They used to have an affordable Economy Premium option, now all they have are seats made for someone 5’5” 150 pounds. Anyone over 6’ can and will suffer greatly. I’m 6’4” and fly many of their 12 hour flights from LAX to Istanbul and have to sit sideways, until my back aches so bad I have to turn. They also keep their planes unbearably hot, which I have no idea why, making the trip in that cramped seat horrible. Their in between meals snacks consist of cheese sandwiches, and the attendants never come around with drinks or snacks. I also fly Singapore Air and Emirates and their service is subperb!"

I was traveling with my 87 yr old mother and they did little to help, especially when we needed the restroom but they had the aisle blocked for most of the time, serving food. Also the flt was 30 minutes late making our connection tight. One of the young, gorgeous stewardesses was rude and dismissive of me when I asked about it."

Ground security in Turkey was rude and took my sons skate board which we had flown to Israel with and back to turkey, then they told us it couldn't come with us to miami although we flew Turkish both directions with no problem. In the end gate staff went and rescued his skate board from security as he got to the flight crying his little eyes out. Communication was terrible and staff was rude!"

The seat would not stay upright. The children behind me kicked my seat the entire 11.5 hour flight. The monitor to watch TV also would not stay upright. The solitaire game would never load. The airport crew had conflicting instructions. My checked bags were damaged and bungee cords were missing. I was not alerted before boarding that my computer, tablet and camera would be confiscated until my ATL destination and therefore they were not properly padded for flight. A long time to disembark the plane...The attendant had to call and ask where the connector was to let us leave."

As a result, I will probably go with another European airline on my trans-Atlantic flights. 2) You need to offer snacks between meals on a 12 hour flight (back in the galley). Every other airline I have flown offers these on long haul flights in the galley - usually a small snack like chips or cookies. Your flight attendant told me that she would be serving the second meal in about 4 hours. Really, I was shocked that nothing was available in between meals on such a long flight."

However, I was not the one canceling the flight and re-booking - that is their problem and after so much loyalty for years I feel like I should have gotten some kind of upgrade for free...If I have to cancel - I have to pay fees - but if they cancel - I lose ...despite being a very loyal SkyMiles customer. I am quite disillusioned with Delta now and will have to look around to see what other airlines there are now - and my entire family - and what kind of loyalty they give to their loyal customers. The crew the flight was excellent but the Atlanta check in desk really dropped the ball 2 times . If I was the manger I would fire the whole staff and If I was above the manager I would fire them as well as I’m. Sure this is not an isolated occasion."

We are then asked to check our bag, and are forced to put our 1 bag between our legs, whole many people stored two overhead. Flight was delayed a few minutes and time was not made up in air. Delta changed a few of our flights before we were even off the plane, while other passengers were allowed to keep their original flight (originally we all had the same connecting flight). Looks to me like they overbooked and pulled some of us randomly. Also, my checked bag was sent on wrong plane, and sat unattended at next airport for 2 hours."

I'm a somewhat larger person and I fit, but I know a lot of people who would literally not be able to fit on the toilet without touching both of the sidewalls or risk getting stuck in there. The boarding process at San Jose Del Cabo was the most ridiculous setup I've ever experienced. There were numerous flights boarding out of the same gates and at least 3 or 4 lines for different destinations forming on a ramp just outside the gates. There were guys with signs trying to herd people into the correct lines and then loading the people onto buses which took you out to the planes. The planes were loading from both the front and rear doors and people were getting tangled up inside because of the haphazard loading process. Very easy for a person to end up on an incorrect plane!!"

Cons: "On the MSP to ATL leg the gate crew made a huge deal about checking rolling bags. They even stopped us at check-in and nearly begged us to check our bags pointing to the backed up jetway. But we had a lot of unpacking to do before checking our bags so we politely declined three times. On getting to our seats there were at least 8 open slots for bags near us. I heard a crew member call forward to say "tell them no more rollaboards" so they forced everyone left to check. On departure they slammed shut several very large empty overheads. WTF"
Cons: "the older stuardess on my flight from Cancun to Atlanta was very misinformed- told me my carry on wouldn't fit in the over head bin... it did. Told me I had to check my duty free liquor.. I didn't. Told me I couldn't bring all of my liquor in to the US... I could. I just kept saying ok to her just to shut her up, but she ensued with her comments and wrong info as if I don't travel as often as I do. Perhaps she was attempting to be helpful, but it came off as obnoxious and rude especially since she was wrong on every accord. Humbleness and customer service training would do her very good. All other DELTA staff have been great."

Boarding was a bit more chaotic than usual and the gate agent made no announcement about boarding procedure, which certainly contributed to the scrum resulting. I arrived from the Skyclub several minutes prior to boarding time and was unable to find a path through to the Priority Boarding Lane. As boarding began she had to redirect at least seventy-five percent of those in front of me as they were not in First Class. Had she made one or more clear announcements about boarding procedure I rather doubt such a misunderstanding would have occurred with so many."

This flight I was unable to utilize the laveratory even once due to this excessive and continuous useage. Trying to do my bit to reduce our carbon footprint, yet I am sorely tempted to return to charter service when disrespect of the airlines own basic service class rules gets piled on top of TSA hassles."

The first leg of the trip, flying from ft Lauderdale to atlanta was ok except for the pilot having to circle around bc he was too close to the airplane in front to land. This made us supposedly late to our connecting flight which by the way was not supposed to leave before 8:10. My husband and I arrived at the gate about 10 minutes before only to be told that the door was locked. Needless to say, we weren't the only ones. When we got up to the desk, the attendant was extremely rude. I was having a conversation with my husband about a dog that had just passed us . She immediately made her way into the conversation asking me what i was saying. I told her I was talking to my husband about the dog and under her breath said : " I'm sure you were." I then told her that i was more than sure about what I was talking about. We get booked on another flight and my seat was the only one without a working monitor. We asked the suitardess to see o If there was anything that could be done They tried to reset it to no avail. Since we didn't say anything else, it was forgotten about. My husband shared his screen with me so that I wasn't totally bored on the flight. Not the way I wanted to start off my birthday but I'm glad that nightmare is over Delta really needs to retrain their employees on customer service bc it leaves a lot to be desired!"

They forced me to check a carry on because they didn't have room in the plane. They told me my bag would arrive with my flight. It never did. I still dont have by only bag. Unbelievable."

I've had to purchase a new set of luggage AND will have to pay for them on my next 2 legs on Delta. I apologise for seeming so harsh as I know you've had so much trouble because of the tornadoes, but this leg of my trip cost me an additional $800.00 plus AUD and I was here in the US to care for my father who recently had a 2nd heart attack and my final days in USA were meant to be a holiday, and all I can say is the stress because these expenses have removed any enjoyment (I know I'm looking at this half empty, not half full). Cons: "The redesign of seats means that very few of Delta's planes can actually accommodate a sherpa-style pet carrier, even though they are an industry standard for in-cabin travel. Further complicating the problem is that the clearance under the seat varies depending where in the cabin you're seated. It's become an extremely stressful proposition for which I have the privilege of paying an extra +$100 each way whilst having to give up one of my carry ons. As far as I can see, the charge is just straight up greed, since no one would be able to use the space beneath the seat in front of me, anyway, and carrying on my cat cause zero extra work for the crew. I'm going to have rethink my loyalty to Delta. At least with Southwest, they'll let me check two bags for no additional cost."
Pros: "They had some weather in atlanta. So they drove us out to the runway and then we sat for 45 minutes with the engines off waiting to leave. I guess it is nice that they want to keep you safe. After missing our connector - they did put us up in a hotel overnignt. However we still had to pay extra for taxi back, parking an extra day at the airport, and extra meals. Oh - and the extra trip to detroit..."

Then we finally got off the pane and ran to our connector which left without us. We were told they don't hold the plane for less than ten people. So the four of us don't matter. Cons: "Delta Flight #1661 I paid for 1st class. My first flight was late so I arrived at the gate after boarding began. When the gate attendant scanned my ticket another printed. When he handed me the ticket my seat had changed to seat 25E. I told the attendant that I had paid for first class. He asked me to step aside while he contacted his supervisor, Joe. Then I had to wait until ENTIRE flight had boarded which defeated part of the reason I paid for the upgrade. This was on top of the fact I was so thirsty because 1st flight didn't have drink service and because it was late I had to book it to the connection arriving sweaty, hot and needing to use the bathroom. I was told they had given my seat away to someone as a free upgrade. Joe offered me a $100 voucher to take other seat which was less than I paid for 1st class, plus the seat was a middle seat in the rear of the plane. When I told him as much, he tried to manipulate me by telling me that they would have to kick someone out of my seat. When I declined the downgrade, they made me stand by while they kicked someone out of my seat which was embarrassing and humiliating. Then, when they handed me a new boarding pass, it was not the seat I had paid for and selected, instead it was in the first row, which I’ve always hated because there is no under seat storage and I cannot keep my backpack with me. When I pay for first class, it is primarily so that I can board first and so that I have extra room to work (which I need access to my bag to do). While I was trying to take out the minimum of the things I needed from my bag and figure out how to manage without it, 3 times a flight attendant told me they had to take my bag (since I was the last person to board they tried to prevent me from using the bathroom and they were anxious to leave early). I tried to explain that Delta had prevented me from boarding earlier and that they gave away the seat I paid for which was NOT the first row."

There was trash in my seat-back pocket when I took my seat. Supposedly food was available for purchase, but I couldn't activate the food menu, only the drinks menu, on my little seatback screen, so I just waited until I got to Atlanta to eat."

Apparently they gave the seat to someone else at the last second because up to the point when I printed our boarding passes at the kiosk, our seats were still together (and I paid $41/per seat extra to try to keep us together). The other customer was nice enough to switch with our son so were able to stay together at the last min so it goes to show AA priority and service."

On my return from Brisbane, American Airlines had cancelled my flight to Atlanta as they said I was a 'no show' heading out. Thankfully I was able to get a seat on stand by. They gave us connecting flights from London to Washington and then to Atlanta just because their flight was delayed from Hyderabad to London the flight from London was missed and even though it’s not passengers fault they had to suffer as they couldn’t give direct flight from London to Atlanta. And for vegetarians food is also so pathetic they need to have more vegetarian options as cold sandwiches is not a good option in winter. And just think how they feel if they have to be eating 3 cold meals for 24hrsin winter.

Cons: "I get a very limited amount of time to visit my girlfriend who is currently living back at home in England and spent nearly two hours sitting on the plane following the landing and then another two hours or so waiting for my bag to show up and finally filled out info to have it sent to me so that I wasn't wasting any further amount of time on a plane or in the airport. With limited service it was just an overall terrible experience, for my girlfriend even more so than me, as she began to get worried during the delay in the flight arrival up until I got into the airport and got service so that I was able to explain the delay and that I would be out soon. Which wasn't the case since I continued waiting for my bag to arrive for the next couple hours. What should've been a time of joy being reunited with my girlfriend turned into a time of stress for all involved and several hours overdue."
