For someone that has TSA pre check and travels alot, all that extra time adds up and can sometimes cause you to miss your flight. Because there is on "fast line" when you check-in like there is at the security check point. I only have this problem with Delta, never American airlines..."

Cons: "All "carry-ons" were taken at the jetway, which was fine. But, when we landed, as passengers were trying to get off of the plane, the attendants were putting all of the collected luggage at the entry to the jetway. It created congestion. Then, anyone who had luggage, had to lineup against the side of the jetway, awaiting their luggage, and increasing the congestion. First, it was inconvenient. Worse, if there was any kind of emergency, I believe it would have created a unsafe environment. Very Poor Design & Process ! ! !"

Cons: "Airlines in general need to enforce the carry on luggage rules. If it doesn't match the dimensions for the carry on specks then make the people Check it. Don't let it go. If I paid for a seat and I'm allowed two carry ons then there should be room for them. Don't ask people to check bags because of a full plane. The crew should have there own place to store their belongings, not where the passengers do and take their space. The life rafts need to be easy to get to but again should take up a spot a passenger has paid for their luggage to go. If that is the only space for these items then don't allow passengers to bring two items if in those seats or on the whole plane. It's really disappointing when your told you may have to check your bag because there's not enough room."

About forty minutes later I went over to check the monitor. I didn't even look his way, but he called out to me, asked my name, and checked the status of my upgrade. Very professional and very nice."

I think that if Delta puts you on an affiliated airline, they should pick up the tab for the meal. Entertainment is via your smartphone. Don't have a smartphone, no problem, cough up $10 for a 2 bit tablet to watch a movie!"

I informed the cabin crew that they weren't being considerate after all I gave up my seat to them. The cabin crew told me I could leave my 4 yest old and 3 year old alone and move to a new seat."

I waited a full 1 1/2 hours. No other explanation. At the very end, when they finally put me on a flight, they chastised me for not checking in online---this was NEVER offered to me by Lufthansa on my flight there or on the return. With other airlines they always send me an email to check in online ahead of time. Lufthansa did not. I could not have been more disappointed with this checking in experience with Lufthansa. Again, the worst in my life and would be cause for me not to recommend Lufthansa to others. Otherwise, the flight itself and the actual crew were great. So disappointing to have such an unprofessional check in experience."

We were enraged that after printing out our boarding tickets for our 12/21/15, 5:50pm Luthansa Flight to Frankfurt, Germany, that the flight was cancelled the next morning. We were rebooked on American Airlines through Paris, which could not guarantee us a seat on AirFrance to our final destination, Venice, Italy. Next, our baggage did not arrive when we got to Venice and after filling out the claim form for lost luggage and following the directions for following up, Air France never called, sent a text or emailed us when the baggage arrived the next day. Returning from Venice to Frankfurt on 1/1/16, and then on to Philadelphia was a crowded flight, with a wailing baby for much of the trip. We were apprehensive, once again worrying that our baggage would not be on the plane and at the airport in Phila., when we arrived. Though we enjoyed ourselves visiting relatives in Vicenza, Lufthansa made our journey tense, and wrought with anxiety."

Person informed me I would have to walk until they could find one? Yeah, the 5'2" person offered a hand but when I'm 5'11" and can't weight bear- I cannot use someone else's assistance. I had to hop from the plane door, all the way up the jet way, past the ticket counters- to the chairs. I've never been so embarrassed as an entire boarding plane watched. No one on the plane even offered assistance in helping me off- they greeted other crew and I just wandered off. After I was seated, I waited why the woman went and found a wheelchair. Why in the world couldn't they have done this beforehand? Forcing me to hop was a major risk. Lufthansa knew my issues and said my account was notated after the first incident."

This was 1 of the 2 worst flights that I have ever been on, only second to my other booked flight for this trip home. This flight was 7+ hours long and it was nothing short of horrible. The seats were extremely uncomfortable and barely went back at all. The male flight attendant was clearly annoyed and was short with every person who would ask for anything. He would roll his eyes at every request by customers. At one point I saw him literally toss a sandwich into a customers lap because they were turned the other way and didn't hear him when he asked if they wanted one. There was no way to watch anything unless you had your own device and had downloaded it yourself prior to the flight."

American Airlines was terrible! Not even an entertainment center on an international flight (OLD PLANE THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE!). We will NEVER use KAYAK again."

Cons: "Almost broke my finger trying to change the menu on the screen. The snack coming back toward Philadelphia, is really not very good. One should have a choice of yogurt or breakfast bar. The flatbread with weird combination of cheese, peppers etc after flying for 8 hours is just not good for any stomach."

Cons: "Took over an hour to check in bags, very little communication from check in staff at Manchester Airport, short staffed??"

Pros: "The entertainment selections was excellent, actually more extensive than expected or maybe even necessary. The flight was clean, staff cordial, and running and operating of the flight efficient and smooth. The crew was friendly and wonderful as I always expect and receive from BA."
Cons: "My number one complaint is the lack of a air valve over the seat. The airflow is very important. Lack of airflow meant that the sunside passengers cooked in the heat from the windows while our cabin mates on the other side were bundled. A bit of air whizzing past would have helped us unstagnate ourselves. Additionally that bit of air on ones face help immeasurably for passengers such as myself who feel a bit of airsickness. Not having that small breath of air was greatly missed. With my compliments to the crew my complaints are about elements they did not have control over - such as running out of food when serving the final snack. Services at the front of the class were good but supplies dwindled and it felt as if the crew were either understaffed or overtaxed because despite genuine best efforts the rear of the class was under supplied. The aircraft itself needed attention in the details - tech such as audio jacks, sub ports were only about 2/3rds functional in my row. I volunteered to have my neighbor charge his phone at my seat as his was very obviously broken. Audio jacks in his seat were broken and my jack necessitated holding the entire flight in order to receive sound. Seats and carpets while clean were worn and in places fraying and thread bare and stained."

Cons: "My husbands TV screen did not work we asked 2 different people multiple times and no one offered any help or assistance. They said that they tried restarting it. One person said they could send him a movie but never did. They also crammed us in the boarding area and we waited forever."

Pros: "It was American Plane and seat comfort and space WAS GREAT."

Pros: "Aweful lines at immigration in PHL. 5 int'l flights landing at same time. Ridiculous! Took 2 hrs to get through. Won't be traveling from PHL anymore. Can AA arrange flights so they don't all land at same time?"

Pros: "Seemed like the flight attendants were upset to be at work on New Year's Eve. They didn't want to help people place their stuff on the over head bins and just watched as people struggled to find space. They also went down the ailse to give food out and were in a rush to do so. The meal options where meat balls and pasta and the meatball option was not good. Then later they served a dessert which was ice cream but didn't let you ask for the flavor. They just gave you whatever came out. They then handed out a flat bread pizza and where in a rush that they didn't give pizza to 3 people."

All the American Airlines planes were like overbooked or all scheduled to leave at exactly the same time so the workers were freaking out the passengers were freaking out everyone was like Losing it. They had us all waiting in these series of lines in ropes and they kept having different flight groups raise their hands and keep them raised and like bustling people around to different grouped lines but it never left the one huge room, then security was a disaster and the guy in charge of everything was like having a panic attack being really sassy and rude to everyone. I was starting to feel scared that I would miss it, it's okay though because 38 other people would also miss it and that's just who was behind me. But then we got to the gate and everything was totally fine like why did there have to be so much ado?!"

Cons: "Kayak need to be more clear and transparent what airline is actually operating the flight. This was not a British airways flight. It was an American Airlines flight. We went to the British airways terminal, waited 30 minutes to check in only to find out it was not a British airways flight. It took us about 1 and a half hours to correct the problem. I am extremely disappointed in the way kayak has presented this information. We specifically booked thinking we were flying British airways not a substitute flight."

Cons: "The plane was completely packed despite the COVID pandemic. A stranger sat next to me on the plane (distance of about 6 inches, not 6 feet). What social distancing? And yet they conveniently said no food/drink beverage for safety reasons. Good way for the airline to save a few bucks. Other airlines (like JetBlue) block out adjacent sears and give snacks in individual bags but this... I flew several times since the pandemic began and this was by far the worst. What a joke of an airline. Never flying them again"

Cons: "We were 1.5 hours late leaving for an unknown reason (not weather). Then, it appeared that we didn't try and make up the lost time in the air (we also landed 1.5 hours late.) This caused a significant proportion of the passengers to miss their connecting flights. American didn't do anything to help other than offer a "discount" of about $10 off of over $100/night hotel rooms in the Philadelphia area to sleep overnight in Philadelphia. This was absolutely lousy customer service by American, and will definitely make me avoid American Airlines in the future."

Cons: "Well the flight was short, so not much more could be done on this particular flight. The restroom could be a tad larger but think was on an older aircraft."

Pros: "After the initial delay, the female desk agent got us on another connecting flight without a problem. Second flights attendant was also great."
Cons: "They boarded the plane, only to tell us they had to de-ice, which is understandable. However, after waiting 20 min for the de-icing that never came, they made us get back off the plane because of mechanical issues. The captain/pilot was rude to the woman working the desk over the radio, to the point where she had to leave the desk and go speak to him in person (she knew we could hear everything.) That conversation is also how the whole line of people was informed that then knew about this mechanical issue since the night before, and chose not to fix it before boarding all of us. After getting to Philadelphia later than expected, we were forced to pay for hotel food that was horrible and overpriced. Only to then have our plane be delayed AGAIN because of mechanical issues, again the pilot not giving much information to the attendant she was faced by a room of 40 angry people and had no answers. The departure time slowly crawled out longer, and the only reason I knew was because of having the American app. Information/communication on all ends was poor. I usually fly Allegiant, which is notoriously “cheap,” and I’ve never had an experience like this. Happy my boyfriend has flown with American before and knew to give us an extra day so we didn’t miss the wedding we paid $800 in airline tickets to attend. Just disappointed."

Pros: "I took two connecting flights on American Airlines between Los Angeles and Lisbon period on the website American claims to have charging and or electrical ports in every row. There were none on either flight. To make matters worse, when my tablet and phone batteries both died before the end of the first flight, there was no inflight entertainment, other than 1 ridiculous thing available, on either flight. American has switched to BYOD for entertainment, but forgot to provide a way to charge our own devices. Incredibly stupid."
Cons: "On top of that, one of the flight attendants on the Philadelphia to Lisbon run was a hella snarky guy with a bad attitude all the way through. I would be surprised if I am the first person to complain about him."

Pros: "Efforts to get us to Philadelphia"
Cons: "Got to Philly - no one there - rushed 2 concourses and plane still there with daughter on-board. They gave away our seats, told us we would not get on, would not get our baggage and would not get put up in a hotel. Because of the NBA draft - had to travel 60 miles to New Jersey for a hotel. Lost a day, lost 2 tours, endured additional hotel costs...and the attendant made it clear she was on overtime and we just needed to move on. American Airlines is too big and consolidation of airlines has not been good for the public."

Cons: "The flight was delayed and then the airport in Philadelphia "wasn't aware" that we were coming to it took forever to get off the plane. I would have missed my next flight if they didn't wait for us. Also I couldn't check in online beforehand, which was frustrating. Also I waited in line at the British Airways desk to check in and it was a long line. When I finally got to the front I was told I had to check in at the American Airlines desk and I wish I had been told that earlier. One staff member was rude when I asked him to repeat the food options."

Pros: "AA got me home safe."
Cons: "Entertainment was nonexistant. Most movies were unavailable and those that were would start and then say “no longer available” monitor did not work. I was not the only passenger with issues. Many could not get system to work. Antiquated and/or poorly maintained. Also, announcement made it seem as if you had to pay for wine/beer/spirits. I wasn’t drinking so it didnt matter but at other times this would have been a hassle. Never had this on an international flight. Flight was okay just not top drawer like it used to be. Cost cutting measures have impacted the brand. Would not say it is first tier. Dont mind a “no frills” flight if it results in lower cost to consumer (aka Southwest Airlines)"

Cons: "Our 2nd flight was changed by the airline, causing us to have a 6 hour layover in Philadelphia instead of a 2 hour layover. Then when we ask about changing to a different flight they told us that the original flight we were supposed to be on (that we booked over 8 months ago) was completely full so that’s why we were moved, and there were no other flights available to switch to. So we accepted that. But when we printed our boarding passes, we saw that our seats were now separate from each other, and they were both middle seats! I don’t understand how booking my tickets so far in advance still resulted in these issues. We were finally able to get an aisle and window seat (not near each other) but both flights had poor to little entertainment, which I wouldn’t have expected on such long flights with American Airlines. Really was letdown. :("

Cons: "The staff member at the gate counter in Philly was very short and rude. She asked for people volunteer to check their carry-on bags and when I took mine up she was very curt. She asked me for my seat number (I didn't hear her) and her tone got worse. A woman who did not speak English need assistance and was turned away by this person with s shrug. The Latina finally stood in the middle of the gate area asking for help from anyone who could speak English. I just spent 18 days I Madrid and never once was rejected when I asked for assistance. I was not happy with your employee and I was ashamed to hear an American treat someone that way. In the employee's defense, she was alone at the dest up until boarding time and was juggling a lot of balls without any other support. Not a good experience."

Cons: "We had five pieces of luggage lost during our flight from the U.S. to Spain. When we arrived in Madrid we were told that all five pieces had been located. When we went to pick them up the next day there were only four pieces at the airport. We were told the fifth suitcase would be delivered when it was located. It's ten days later and there's no sign of the luggage. It has taken multiple phone calls to get the information about the luggage correct. They assure me that they have everything correctly documented and then when I call back they haven't changed a thing. It has been a very frustrating process overall."

Pros: "Not much."
Cons: "The flight was late due to maintenance and caused us to miss our connecting flight to Chicago. American Airlines customer assistance at the airport was absolutely terrible. They were rude and inconsiderate as they kept suggesting to fly standby. We shouldn't have to fly standby when it wasn't our fault why were late. They told us our bags would be ok going to Chicago and they we would make the flight, but we did not. I do not know why didn't wait for us considering there were 8 others that also missed the connecting flight. We had to fly to Denver and stay overnight with no luggage and catch a 7:00am flight to Chicago. The last surprise I received was my damaged bag when I got back to Chicago. Thank you for making this trip memorable in a terrible way. I will never book or recommend Kayak or use American Airlines again."

Cons: "American Airlines DISCRIMINATES especially against the elderly! The airlines took my family of 6 off the flight that I booked 6 months in advance, and I had no flight out of Munich, Germany. I do not know why. I called and had them put us back on the flight. I paid extra for seats so that we could all sit together. The seats were given to others and my family could not sit together. The American Airlines employees were not helpful at all! The agent, Rowna, lied to us that we would be sitting together. They will not reimburse me for paying extra for seats that I did not get. The porter that pushed my mother in the wheelchair was more helpful than any employee."

Pros: "Nice flight, great leg room, staff was friendly and flight was on time."

Pros: "Because this flight was NOT full, my wife and I had the entire center section to stretch out. This made our 7.5 hour flight amazingly comfortable. The Airbus A300 was a reasonably new aircraft. Everything was clean and looked good. The food was exceptionally good. My wife and I both commented on how good the food was (my wife stated, "it was the best airplane food ever"). The main meal, the hotbox snack, and the late in flight chocolate ice cream were ALL good. The staff were great, friendly, service oriented, nice people."
Cons: "Navigating through Heathrow"

Cons: "We booked a BA flight from Pittsburgh to Glasgow, through Philadelphia. We intentionally chose BA because we anticipated good service. We later learned that the flight was serviced by American. Our original flight was delayed one day because we missed our connection due to weather on the East Coast (after six hours at the airport). American re-ticketed us for a flight the next day. After several misstarts in Pittsburgh, we arrived in Philadelphia with minutes to spare. After running to the gate, we were then greeted with what turned out to be a four hour delay. Then, upon return, we learned that our seat selections/priority boardings were all deleted because of the re-ticketing on the on the flight out, and we spent hours on the phone and at the airport trying to get things sorted out and ensure that we had a return flight. One of the worst trips ever in my experience."

Pros: "We were notified of the pending delay in our flight from Athens to Philly very promptly on the morning of the 10th. We immediately called and spoke to a British Airways agent and also a supervisor who was understanding and kind enough to accommodate us by reserving seats on a later connecting flight with American Airlines from Philly to Phoenix. We did not receive a confirming email and ended up calling back. We were then told that Vouchers will be waiting for us at the Philadelphia airport with our names."
Cons: "When we checked in at Athens airport there was no information available for our connecting flight in Philadelphia. The AA counter was chaotic, the agents were rude and had changed our seats to 2 separate areas. When we arrived in Philadelphia there were no vouchers waiting for us. The only thing that the agent could find were seat assignments . We stood in line over an hour waiting for her to figure out what had happened and almost missed our connecting flight . Even though my daughter was in a wheelchair with a brace on her leg and in pain, the agent at the counter was not very empathetic at all. The agent also kept saying that this was not correct somebody made a mistake to tell us we were booked and that person will get in trouble. Eventually she spoke with the supervisor and gave us 2 boarding passes."

Pros: "Liked all the little amenities - actual meals, USB plugs for charging, free movies and games to entertain my kids, enough leg room that I can bend down and get stuff from my bag under the seat and that I could lean back a little without causing the person behind me to need knee surgery, tilt feature on screens to make video viewing easier when the person ahead of you tips their seat back. Seats were wide enough that I didn't fear jabbing my neighbor in the ribs every time I moved. Ice Cream!"

Cons: "Boarding-we boarded class 9 and had a carry on that was to big so all 3 personnel yelled at me and my husband with my daughter in my arms very loud and disrespectfully " YOU CAN NOT BRING THESE TYPE OF BAGS ON THE PLANE!" Mind you 3 people are saying this while other people were also waiting to board the plane! So I quickly say we do not need 3 people to tell us 1 thing and especially yelling at us like we were kids or criminals because it felt like we must have broke the law the way they treated us! That experience was horrible and ruined my liking for AA"

Pros: "The options for entertainment were great."
Cons: "The space and seats were uncomfortable. I received errors when trying to access gogoinflight on my tablet, even when I had the most updated app. Therefore I was unable to use the app during my flight to Philadelphia. Also, when checking in from our original departure location, MCO, we were not provided our boarding pass or luggage tags for our final destination, Barcelona, only to our connecting flight, Philadelphia. The connecting flight was delayed in MCO for an 1 hour and a half, after we have boarded the plane. So we waited in the plane for the whole hour and half while a maintenance issue was being resolved. The delay almost cost us to be late for our final flight to Barcelona. Since we were not given our boarding passes for PHL to BCL it caused confusion when trying to board our plane in PHL to Barcelona, and also caused for our baggage to not arrive with the flight. After landing, we spent an additional 2 hours at the Airport going through customs, and waiting on line for the lost and found desk for baggage in Barcelona. The lost and found desk had three agents available to assist, however we can only talk to one which was designated specifically for American Airlines. This caused a very long wait time of 1 hour. We were advised the bags stayed in Phildelaphia since they did not have the additional luggage tags, and will not arrive till the next day. Overall the experience within the Airport kiosks, service desks, and baggage check in' s was not a pleasant experience. I believe many of these issues could have been avoided if the American Airlines agents were more knowledgeable and attentive."

Pros: "Flight wasn't full so I had the row to myself and got to stretch out. Great selection of movies. Decent food."
Cons: "One FA seemed visibly annoyed with me; I'm honestly not sure what I did. I am a FA for another airline; didn't identify myself as such but always make sure to not be "that passenger." During two beverage services she did not ask me if I wanted anything but simply looked at me with disdain and sighed loudly. She wasn't rude; just not friendly and I never once saw her smile. She seemed tired and annoyed. I understand that feeling. I've been a FA for 16 years, still junior at my company, but it reminded me how important body language and facial expressions are when we work hospitality and customer service in the public eye. I hope everything is ok with her and I'm sorry if I did something that irritated her. I didn't get her name."

Pros: "The Ticket agent was very helpful and friendly. The air crew and Flight Attendants were very nice and helpful. The wheel chair attendant who initially took me to my gate in Las Vegas was very friendly, and helpful, and she did everything she could possibly have done, short of leaving another passenger to come take care of me, which wouldn't have been right. I was there when she called her supervisor and advised him/her of my location and of my needs and she received confirmation. Was not her fault."
Cons: "I checked in with American and a wheel chair attendant assisted me to my gate. My wheel chair needed charged and I was two hours early, so the attendant sat me at the charging station because there were no outlets in the gate area. She contacted her supervisor to advise of my location and that I would need assistance. Nobody came for me. I gathered my things the best I could and struggled to get to the gate to get attitude from the gate agent, telling me the wheel chair attendant was there looking for me. What ever happen to using a paging system when you know the passenger who is disabled checked in two hours earlier? Had someone paged, maybe I could have flagged their attention, or maybe they could have called the company in charge of handling their wheel chair attendance and would have known where I could be located. Either way, the attitude is uncalled for, especially when I apologized and stated that the wheel chair attendant was expected to help me."

Pros: "Equipment was an A330. I was seated in Row 11 and had priority boarding. As a result, I had considerable leg room and not trouble finding overhead space. Seating in the back has several inches less "pitch" between seats. A330s provide a very smooth ride."
Cons: "Food: Salad was good, you could taste the arugula. Chicken, once you scrape off the barbecue sauce, was decent. The rest of the lunch did not seem worth eating. The best option if you are hungry is to either eat in the terminal or bring something you do enjoy with you. The movie selection had nothing you likely have not seen already. Be aware that sometimes PHL moves slowly. We waited over 5 minutes for the plane door to open. Bags took about 40 minutes to come up. There were no lines at immigration. Connecting in less than 2 hours can be iffy."

Pros: "Price. That's it."
Cons: "We sat in Orlando waiting to take off - delayed for OVER 30 minutes because ---> the catering truck failed to show up. The captain aired his frustration of the catering crew. Supposed to arrive in Philly approximately 2:24pm - we didn't arrive until 3:03pm. Baggage took another 20-30 minutes. All American emoloyees looked tired. Not one smile either to Orlando or from Orlando. (Oh yeah - we were late taking off to start my vacation from Philly because a crew failed to arrive to "start the engines of the aircraft," per captain's announcement. The entire aircraft boarded and sat, again, for 30 minutes without any air conditioning or air flow in the cabin.) Blah experience. Blah employees. And two different captains announced the reasons for delay with an "annoyed tone.""

Pros: "I flew first class. Philadelphia airport is horrendous. I chose to fly first class to avoid lines and make flying by my lonesome go more smoothly. There are no special lines for first class there are absolutely no perks to flying first class out of Philly. The first class flight attendant was rude. They ran out of hot food by the time they got to me so I was served yogurt ... I don't eat yogurt. I waited 40 minutes for my luggage to arrive at baggage claim. The flight to Philadelphia from Tampa was a good experience. They had first class lines. The airport was cleaner. The flight attendant Steve, was kind and professional. I was served a hot lunch. I'm a diabetic and when my blood sugar went low he got me orange juice quickly. I waited maybe 10 minutes for luggage at baggage claim. However with the horrific experience in Philadlephia I may never fly American again. Definitely will never fly out of Philadelphia again. I was told by the woman who I sat next to on the way home that she hates American and usually flys Delta for her business trips."

Pros: "Flying on American Airlines like many other airlines is a frustrating experience. The added charges for baggage and seat choice are insulting when you are used to flying on southwest. It should all be covered when buying a flight. The people lining up at the door to get on the plane spill out in to the hallways and block traffic trying to get by. Southwest airlines has a number system to get on the plane and therefor avoids the crowding the entrance to get on before all the overhead space is taken. I really think american could learn a lot from Southwest airlines. I will when possible avoid this airline if there is a flight with southwest."

Cons: "I feel as though I should receive some kind of courtesy credit for the poor condition of the plane, friendliness of the staff, efficiency of the staff, and finally for being 3 hours late because failure to adequately fuel the plane. I was skipped for receiving refreshments, the plane had interior panels falling off. The second flight didn't have enough fuel for a 40 minute flight. The pilot told us that we were delayed for rain for 10 minutes but we did not have enough fuel to circle around. As a result we came back to Philadelphia. I missed a graduation party as a result. I had a poor experience. The flight attendants did not greet me on entrance or exit."

Pros: "Nothing. I will never fly an American / American code share flight abroad again. I cannot believe they are flying this plane for trans-continental flight in 2016."
Cons: "1980's 757. Literally, I flew on planes like this in the 80's. American, please get with it. This was a horrendous flight. No in flight entertainment at all in 2016 on a 9+ hr. flight is unacceptable. Couple that with 1.25 hour delay AFTER the plane boarded. You should not be flying narrow body jets on flights this long. Much less ones with old, uncomfortable seats and zero entertainment options. I don't mean to sound entitled but this experience was night and day in every capacity (comfort, food, service, entertainment) from my flight to Europe on BA. Sad. Lastly, I sat next to a off duty American flight attendant who was quite rude."

Cons: "Plane was very warm upon boarding due to issues with auxiliary cooling but informed it would change as engines turned on . I sat in row 20 and it was very cold during flight. Flight attendant inquired about comfort. It improved for about 10 minutes and returned to cold state . Noticed that one attendant put on some kind of jacket due to coldness . Nearby passengers retrieved blankets from their carry on baggage. Glad I had at least a light jacket to throw over me and that my legs were partially covered. Guess it's better to be too cool than too hot. Otherwise. It was s great flight ."

Cons: "The flight from Phillie to Albany was very warm. Stewardess genuinely apologized."

Cons: "My son and I were scheduled to leave Providence to Philadelphia on Monday at 6:05. Flight went through a series of delays until we were finally informed that our flight would not make the flight departing Philly to SF. Rather than fly to Philly during the DNC, we decided to SPEND ANOTHER NIGHT IN PROVIDENCE and take the flight out the next day. This part of the trip caused me to lose a day of work and spend more money on a hotel and meals. This was very poor planning on your part since there were flights flying in and out of both places, but your company was short one aircraft that would have gotten my son and I home on time!!! This was my last flight on American Airlines and I will be sure to spread the word to my friends and family that you have become too unreliable!!"

Cons: "Chaotic boarding Multiple delays Unfriendly ground staff"

Cons: "The crew was just downright rude. Condescending rude and full of tude. Also they are all 100 years old and one lady was so fat she could barely fit in the aisle. Come on AA...really you can't do better than this?? Seats were uncomfortable as can be and food weas slightly worse than average airplane food. funny thing is I always fly delta and delta partners but this time I thought I would go the cheaper route. Never again will I fly American anything anywhere. Very disappointed. There is nothing positive to say about anything except the fact that we didn't crash. We were also delayed 2 hours and sitting on the Tarmac. Horrid experience."

Pros: "That I got from point a to point b."
Cons: "My first got delayed and therefore missed my second flight. When I reached the gate, the plane was still on the ground. The attendant at the game was extremely rude and did not care about this problem that I would be faced with. I went to customer service and received nothing but a new ticket. She did not apologize for this extreme inconvenience that I would spend all morning for the next flight out. After boarding the second flight, I was asked to move to the back because the front of the plane was too heavy. It was the worst customer service experience I had ever received flying. I will probably never fly American airlines again and will go back to Delta because the level of customer service I received that day."

Pros: "On time departure and arrival."
Cons: "Like all USA bound flights, boarding takes place at gates that require long walks. Business Class passengers can use the Iberia Airlines VIP lounge in T4; its amenities are much better than any American Airlines lounges. On board, none of the crew acknowledged premium level American Executive Platinum members by name; the business class cabin attendants were very set in their ways of providing service with little charm or warm of making you feel at home. Lavatories are in need of being refreshed; the aircraft are former US Airways planes whose interiors are starting to show signs of wear. Food on board was adequate, but not memorable for an international flight."

Pros: "Really liked I have space for my legs."

Cons: "Limited luggage space"

Pros: "You fly a beautiful plane, the Boeing 787. Excellent entertainment, more comfortable seats, and just about everything on this plain was upgraded. It is a case study of how to do things right. The most impactful for me was air humidity. It was refreshing to fly and not feel like I've been in the Sahara desert at high noon. So, your starting point is really high, but you really need to look at your service."
Cons: "our flight was 40 minutes late in departing TLV. My connection in Toronto then was changed to a later flight, which was then delayed too by 50 minutes. all in all a 14 hour flight with connection ended up being close to 18 hours. My biggest two complaints about the flight itself is the food & the toilets. Your meals are the worst I've had in a major airline, and you should not serve customer frozen of close to frozen bread or sandwiches. If you are serving rolls, sandwiches or pitas, or bagels heat them up first. El-Al has been doing it for decades, go look at how they do it. But besides the bread/sandwiches issue, your meals are a really bad version of frozen supermarket meals. Just terrible all round. The other complaint is the bathroom. It was not cleaned frequently enough."

Pros: "I didn't really like breakfast but I am glad we had it."
Cons: "While the plane was circling in a holding pattern our luggage was left out in the snow for over an hour. My one bag was wet when I got it and my other bag didn't arrive. And because there were no Air Canada workers at the desk in Philly no one could tell me where my bag was. It was a very stressful end to a long series of flights."

Pros: "Tel Aviv security is confusing and time consuming but Air Canada helps you make it through. Flight is on a comfortable new airplane with gray movie selection. Two full meals and a snack provided."

Cons: "Everything Luggage no come on time This is the worst company"

Pros: "Crew were friendly and not bossy. Plane was not crowded. Pilot made up most of our lost time (see other box). Ground crew were friendly and efficient in Toronto, getting to me to my departure gate in time. I was pleased to be offered a food voucher."
Cons: "Departure delay of 3 hours from Tel Aviv. Unruly Haredim should be left on the ground in Toronto, not in London. Food voucher was usable at only one outlet, and Burger Ranch is a greasy spoon. Would more choice be too difficult to organize?"

Pros: "Very accommodating with my seating requests; very kind staff and nice new plane"
Cons: "Got delayed in toronto for 24 hrs and there was a lot of waiting and disorganization"

Pros: "The food was good, staff was pleasant"
Cons: "Flight boarded late, left an hour late with no explanation, causing us to miss our connecting flight in Toronto. They did switch our boarding passes to a later flight, but only 1 of 3 pieces of luggage arrived in chicago (as did also to 4 other families on our flight) it took 2 more days until we received them."

Cons: "Flight was delayed"

Pros: "My flight to Toronto arrived late which meant there would be no way for me to catch my connecting flight to North Carolina. An Airline rep was already waiting for me out of the terminal, with tickets for a new flight the next morning, a ticket for one night at one of the airport hotels(dinner included) and meal vouchers for the airport. This would have never happened with any US based airline."

Pros: "Fantastic service. I will use Air Canada again."
Cons: "The delay was unforeseen but acceptable."

Pros: "The service was very good and the flight felt safe and smooth."
Cons: "Very crowded plane with very little legroom (and I am 1.65m). The food could be improved. Entertainment was decent, but the design of the controls embedded in the armrest caused my neighbor to disrupt my programming often. It was inadvertent, but still annoying."

Pros: "When I finally got to the US Customs agents they were actually quite nice. This has been my experience with US agents in Vancouver and Philadelphia as well. Yesterday they were especially cordial, while at the same time quite professional. Made me proud to be a US citizen."
Cons: "Don't know what could be done about it, but the security liine was the longest I've ever seen. I've come home from Vancouver many times before, and most times I fly direct to the USA from YVR, where things are much better. Don't think it's Tornoto's fault.....but, yesterday's experience with the security line makes it unlikely that I will come back home this way again."

Cons: "There was no information for the new rules of eTA and I've lost my flight from Tel Aviv to Toronto to my friends baby's baptism. Shame!"

Cons: "My flight was cancelled, re-scheduled 8 hours later. No notification on Air Canada was given. They mentioned that "this flight never existed" I had taken a day off of work to be there and I also had a meeting, however, my flight had been cancelled. Also, the costumer service representative mentioned that if I left th airport, they would not let me back in. They would do 2 security checks on me. After all of that! When I asked the check in lady at air Canada they mentioned that flight was not cancelled and not to look at the boards at the airport because they are incorrect! Horrible service. Horrible experience."

Cons: "The flight was delayed about an hour and a half, only after some time at the gate they explained it on the mic.I had a connection flight, and before landing they mentioned there will be agents helping those with upcoming connections to catch them up due to the delay, but those people just pointed me in the general direction of the gates. I had to ran all over the airport, confused after the terrible long flight, and since it was my first time there. I made it at the last second, they changed my seat without my permission and didn't have enough room for my bag so I had to check it. The general attitude of the crew was reluctant at best.The food was mediocre, like what you would have gotten in a flight 10 years ago, and they gave beef to people who asked for chicken. I wanted to be more cool about it, but it was a terrible flight in every Aspect, and I never even got an apology or a follow up."

Pros: "Boarding and crew were very good."
Cons: "Air Canada Legs were excellent, but Rouge Sucks!"

Pros: "The price for a round trip flight Philadelphia to Barcelona was fantastic. Unfortunately, this was a case of you getting what you pay for. Both my husband and I were very unhappy with the entire experience."
Cons: "Airplanes were very uncomfortable, flight crew was unfriendly (smiles were scarce and you felt you annoyed them if you wanted anything), service took too long (perhaps not enough personnel for number of passengers), plane was extremely warm, food was only fair -- all other international flights I've taken have had much better food and comforts). We had long layover on return flight in Toronto and airport and Air Canada personnel were not very helpful or accommodating. When we asked for a suggestion on where we could go in the airport to kill several hours (eating, drinking, watching TV), were were told by many that the airport is bad and we're given conflicting or poor answers. Intimately the advice given put us having to go thru security and Custims again (even though we already had) and that process was extremely disorganized and time consuming."

Pros: "New aircraft 787. Direct flight from Israel to Canada, no layover in Europe. That was nice. The crew was very friendly and helpful. The worst part was the airport in Toronto. Very confusing to get around in. And having to fill out custom papers for Canada when I wasn't staying in Canada or leaving the airport. Didn't like that. But the service of Air Canada makes up for the airport, I would use their service again."

Pros: "The crew was great, the flight was fast, the plane was very comfortable. Other than the time delay, the flight was great."
Cons: "Flight was again delayed (over 1.5 hours)."

Cons: "so much confusion at boarding time, my husband is handicapped and we were sent to wrong plane to board, staff told us to make a left when we should have made a right, there were 3 of us and the staff just laughed it off, we were not laughing"

Cons: "Entertainment choices could have been a bit better. Would have preferred to be able to get seats more than 24 hours in advance as a group of 4 (without paying exra). I think we got the last 4 seats together."

Pros: "Air Canada is a first rate provider. Their air rates are better than most other airlines, and the value for the money is exceptional."
Cons: "The plane was SO, SO COLD. The entire plane of people were miserable. I literally shivered all the way from Toronto to Istanbul, huddled next to the stranger next to me, who was also freezing. It was unreal how cold it was. People kept asking the staff to turn the A/C down, to no avail. I couldn't wait to get off that flight."

Pros: "The food area at the gates very good and tech friendly, comfortable."
Cons: "Gate information changed frequently, plane was late, which was actually good, since it took so long to transfer from my plane from Mex City to Toronto. Gate attendant was unfriendly, seemed harried."

Pros: "The crew appeared overworked and understaffed. I feel that there should have been at least 2 to 4 more to help with the large number of passengers on the plane. It appeared to be more than full and perhaps extra seating was added."
Cons: "The plane was overcrowded. Seating was extremely uncomfortable and much too narrow. I am a relatively thin person but the person to my right was large and kept on pushing into me during the entire flight. Plus it took us over an hour and 30 minutes before we left the airport because we had to wait until the entire plane off boarded before a wheelchair could be brought for my wife. After the wheelchair was brought and we picked up our luggage, (2 bags), which by the way were the last 2 on the carousel, there was only one line through customs for people with special needs. By the time we left the airport I spent at least 45 minutes trying to find the cab which had been sent from Rochester, NY to pick us up and when I finally found him he wasn't allowed to stop in the taxi lane to pick us up in the taxi lane because he wasn't an authorized cab in spite of the fact that I told the security person that my wife was in a wheelchair and the weather was close to 0 degrees celsus and it was snowing."

Cons: "Flight delayed after boarding for 2 1/2 hours. Gate agent was condescending. Gate agent trapped us behind hate when trying to leave delayed flight to catch another leaving on time. They weren't accommodating to providing a refund or better flight. Worst airline experience I've ever had."

Pros: "Friendly staff, not as crowded as most airlines"
Cons: "There was nothing to not like -- they might need a few more rest rooms for the coach classes"

Pros: "This was my first Air Canada flight, and I was beyond impressed with the service overall. The plane was extremely nice and very spacious. The flight crew was very attentive and helpful, and had great attitudes. I had trouble with my entertainment screen early on, and a flight attendant went out of her way to reset and make sure it was working for me. The 12 hour flights both ways were comfortable and enjoyable."
Cons: "I honestly can't say anything negative about this experience!"

Pros: "the attendants made sure that we were comfy and happy. also, they made people who had connecting flights get out first so that we catch our connecting flight."

Cons: "Ok so snow got the flight cancelled fine that's not anyone's fault. But air Canada people are so terrible at making the while situation any better. There is absolutely no communication with each other. So when I arrived I was given a hotel room. But after waiting over half hour for my shuttle bus I called the hotel to discover that they do not do shuttle buses to the airport and they don't have rooms for air Canada passenger so I never got a room that I was apparently supposed to have. And then I was booked for an earlier flight only to learn that it was full and I need to go on a later flight. On top of that again it's not anyone fault but you do not to give me constant attitude as if I'm bothering you. How about a sorry for the inconvenience sir, how can I help you. Instead of saying a blatant no and arguing with me how about I understand your upset and I won't be able to book you on this flight but I can do this. Do you train peopled to say NO? It was a crappie situation and nobody had any sympathy for us. It could easily have been way better experience if your employees simply smiled and listened to us instead of argue and belittle me."

Pros: "Amazing aircraft, awesome personal entertainment systems, excellent service, and safe and timely flights. The food wasn't amazing but airplane food rarely is. It was however abundant. Which helps with the 12 hour flight!"
Cons: "Bathrooms could have been kept considerably cleaner, Air Canada should learn how they can provide gluten-free meals for customers with Celiac disease."
