The year is 2018 and there is no justification for an 11-hour flight with no entertainment. I believe that even the airlines of Nigeria or Sudan already have entertainment on their flights. I take long flights often but usually I sleep on the flight. This time I was awake and it was a horrible experience to fly for so long with absolutely no entertainment. So pathetic in comparison to Turkish Airlines for example which has great entertainment on all its flights. Or even to the selection on the El-Al Dreamliner, which I took on the way to HK and which was really nice. Honestly, I was really ashamed to be Israeli and to be El Al matmid member after this flight, are we so backward that we should be OK with not having the most basic comfort that people in the modern world expect on a long flight?"

Like I said you see them sneaking left and right every one with 2 or 3 boxes hardly trying to look at the seat number, and most of the time they come back with the boxes because they are wrong. I asked one of the crew to call her supervisor so I can complain about that I didn't get any meal, and why they serve food in dark, she said, "He is there go talk to him" other one said "I will call him" but she never did. They inspected and reinspected every single item on my carry on for like an hour in a different room. Kinda scary.! Other airlines check the bags in front of the passengers. Horrible experience and I travel a lot and had never experienced anything like that. Almost didn't feel welcome to be traveling to Israel. The flight attendants have attitudes and they yelled at me because I didn't speak or understand hebrew. Food on the plane is horrible too."

Cons: "Upon arrival to the airport, I was pressurized by the "UP" check-in desk staff to send my carry-on to the plane's hold because "the flight is packed and we prefer that you do so". I didn't argue, but this just gives an overall bad impression and certainly does not shed positive light on the company's competence and professionalism. The flight itself was delayed because of insufficient carry-on space in the upper compartments - carry-ons had to be taken off to the hold - something that created a noticeable delay, add to that the dismay of many irked passengers and the expected complaining and hopeless pleas to the flight attendants. The plane took off 20+ minutes late. The fact that this is "low cost" is no justification at all for such a chaos."

Cons: "I don't know how El Al gets away with serving people their so-called nightly "meal". They have the audacity to tell passengers it's a "tapas" meal. Tapas has nothing to do with it. You can choose between tuna salad (tuna drowned in mayo with mostly peppers) or chicken with tahini (mostly peppers again, with two small cubes of chicken drowned in tahini). They give you this with a small salad, pita and industrial hummus which is probably the best thing about this meal. Having being burned by this meal last time - they ran out and I got a "glatt kosher" meal - I took the vegetarian option, which was roasted peppers, salad made from 80% lettuce, 20% peppers and no dressing and an inedible cookie. I am allergic to peppers. There is no entertainment to speak of, because El Al sees no reason to update its planes, and there is no personal entertainment system. You can download an app to your phone called "Dream Stream", and stream some options from El Al, but then you have no where to charge your phone, so what's the point? The seats are ridiculously close together, and if someone leans back you really can't eat. Finally, I have no idea why they do this - but El Al flights from Europe don't attach to the terminal via ramp. You get out of the plane on a staircase, in the middle of the night, in the pouring rain, and then have to take a bus to the terminal. It's not like all ramps are busy at 4AM..."

What can you say when you spend $1500 on a flight that should cost half as much to take off late, land late, have a cruddy run down plane with subhuman amount of leg room, shockingly abysmal screens (the old kind that don't let you choose your entertainment no less) less than mediocre food... I don't expect much flying economy, my expectations are in check. This flight (and my elal flight before it which was delayed 5 hours with no explanation) was just outrageously bad."

Cons: "I have been to Israel 6 times now, and knowing the strenuous security interviews El Al has, I arrived 3 hours before departure time. Even though I'm Jewish and trying to make Aliyah, this time they grilled me about all my precious travels to Muslim countries. I'm a world traveler, so this didn't bother me. It's a normal security measure they take. However they said that they'd like to do additional security checks with me when at the gate. I complied, thinking I have two more hours left. Well... I was taken by car away from the gate to a room full of what looked like migrant workers to something - I was practically strip searched And frisked uncomfortably. They took my carry on backpack, phone and food. Then the forced me to board the plane with only my wallet, passport and phone. Nothing else - I couldn't even take my medicine, headphones, laptop, camera or anything else. I freaked out, knowing I was about to fly 12 hours in the middle row with nothing else to entertain me... luckily a nice man let me charge my phone w his charger and gave me a sleeping pill. Then when we were about to land in Tel Aviv, I'm told both of my bags didn't make the flight... and they'd be delivered to me on the next flight (possibly together, possibly not). So I am here, the luggage is gone, and I hope I get it before my connection in 48 hours... also the entertainment on the plane SUCKED. Bad sound quality and an archaic entertainment system out of the 90's. they should upgrade for maximum comfort. And I was not awoken for the first meal, so I flew 9 hours on an empty stomach. So this was a horrible experience, I'm still traumatized from the security search and upset about the lost luggage, which has my computer, camera and essential medication"
Cons: "Crew at the check in were rude, would not let us return the same handheld suitcases we came with, required we check them in, one which they did let us take was required to be measured again with the "cage" at the gate. The temperature on boath flights was very high even with max airflow. We were not allowed to bring abroad bottled water which we had bought at the duty free at the airport, and the aircraft chair would not recline and was extremely crowded with almost no leg space. Will not recommend!"
Cons: "My checked-in suitcase did not arrive in Tel-Aviv. Could not get the boarding pass (for Boston - Tel-Aviv leg) in Orlando. When arrived to ElAl departure gate (after just landing from Boston), no staff was there to explain to me what to do, where to report, how to obtain a boarding pass. Nor were there any written directions on the email booking confirmation what to do. I had to (LUCKILY. correctly.) GUESS that I need to exit the airport and re-enter at same terminal E, but in the check-in/ticketing area. I did get my boarding pass, but it was too late to arrange for the seat type I preferred. Watching movies is theoretical as every time someone passes through the isle (necessary for flight attendants, passengers going to the toilet, passengers who must stretch and move-about), the view to the screen is blocked. The food on that particular ElAl flight was not tasty."

New flight did not has economy class plus where I purchased places because my wife requires extra leg space and special assistance. Upon check in staff was not friendly. I was unable to purchase seats with extra leg space - it was said all is already purchased. I think it was not correct, since it was impossible to purchase any seats in advance through internet and we were first in check in line since my wife was on wheel chair. Except this, two seats in this first row with extra space were finally free (one was occasionally used by crew). Upon arriving to destination wheal chair was nor ready. On her way to taxi may wife had to change seat 3 times: wheel chair, electrical car, again wheel chair - which was very difficult to her. Very bad experience."
Cons: "i am a guide arranging groups to Rome. I arrived 3 hours before the flight - as is required, to find an under-staffed security check . My group of 20 people , some of which were over 80 years old , had to stand 2 hours in line before they where approached. For those that collapsed there were only about 12 chairs in the entire space, for the multitudes that were coming for the flight. i will never fly El -Al to Rome with my groups again, and will not accept the claim that this is "the Ministry of Security" (as the security checkers claimed) , unless i receive an answer to assure that this is to be amended. i purchased tickets from ElAl - and they must provide better standards for and during their security issues."

Cons: "The process of getting your ticket and boarding can be very time consuming and stressful. Because it is an Israeli airline they are extremely cautious as to whom they let on to the plane. I was asked questions to see how Jewish I am(what songs did you sing at Passover when you were a child). I did taglit and on one of my flights I was asked questions for 1-2 hours and put into a smaller room to have my belongings searched again. At the end of the day I'm glad they do that because I know it's keeping us all safe."
Pros: "I liked how accommodating the flight attendants were to the difficult crowd we had to deal with, including constant seat shifting to accommodate a mother with 6 children, including babies. The crew was professional, and calm."
Cons: "What we wish to see in 2016 is an entertainment system that gives you more control over what to watch and WHEN to watch it. I want to start a movie at my own pace, and not be limited to an UNKOWN schedule which, if I missed it, I have to wait the next screening. By then I might be busy, sleeping, who knows? Second, charging with a USB entrance is today's standard, and the only option was charging with an Israeli charger, which I don't have. I'm sure these are things that are being upgraded constantly."

Cons: "The boarding was done in the worst way. To start with, the flight was delayed about 1/2 hour. Because of that, the was pressure at the gate. So instead of enforcing boarding by groups or zones, they told everyone to board together. This of course caused further delay and the flight eventually took off 1:15 hours late. I was seated at the last row, as the flight was packed. Since this is a red-eye flight, I went to sleep after take-off. After a couple of hours (way too early) I was woken up by several people standing over my head an praying. No protest help and they just continued. The flight attendants didn't do anything about this. Apparently this is common practice on Elal flights, and the crew doesn't do anything as they don't want to fight with them. As much as possible, I am done flying Elal."

Pros: "From clealininess of the planes to the professional and sincere approach of the cabin crew, Pegasus is by far the best budget airline I have ever flown in the world. Their in flight menu prices are much affordable compared to most European airports (water is cheaper on the flight, compared to Berlin airport for example) For these prices, and this quality, they are uncompeted. I really hope they can maintain these cheap prices all the time."

Arrive in Turkey to switch planes, they started to pull all the American and Canadian passport holders to the side and they pilled out a pocket luggage scale that we all know was inaccurate or rigged. They ripped off our approved tags fro Madrid and told us that our bags were overweight.... we had a small backpack for me and my wife had her purse. They weighed them and told us if we didn't pay 150euros, we could not board the plane. - yes, they said the purse was overweight. We talked them down to 70euros. When we finally got on the plane and talked with other passengers we found out we were lucky, one family had to pay 1400 euros and another paid 300 euros. We also left a Canadian lady behind because they would not accept American Express."

Pegasus knows this, so when you fly in to Europe and use one of their planes to get to your final destination, they only allow 44lbs, so you have to pay a penalty to get through. Terrible."

People just haphazardly asked or found out from someone else that they had to comply. The checked some passports and tickets prior to the flight to help in boarding but it was a mess. Pros: "What i dislike:i was looking for a baggage option and what i understood i have 23 kg allowed in this flight.On my way back i had a logagge total 23kg as i was sure i was permited.On the registration i was told i have to pay 1890 griven it is about 100$ CAN.I looked again on my ticked ans didnt see any note about i have to pay online baggage service 24 hours before.I had nobody to leave this baggage in kiev and my mom paid all for me.I am very upsed because when i was doing check in online i was looking for a rules and regulationg about baggage and i wanted to do prepaid but what i understood it was included.So in airport i paid double than it was online.I need my money back! Cons: "My trip had just started and it is already ruined. I have a roundtrip ticket from NYC to Israel with a connection in Ukraine for both directions. I was traveling with one checked item in luggage - suitacse, and one personal item onboard - a guitar in a soft case. I'm a professional musician and I've been traveling with this exact instrument in the exact for over 5 years, domestically in the US and all over the world. I've never had any problems with it and I was always treated respectfully even with low cost airlines or on smaller airplanes. There were no problems on the first part of the flight from NYC to Kiev, and then, as I was boarding a the flight from Kiev to Israel, the counter employee at the gate counter (her first name is: Yejzina) - explained to me that if I won't pay an additional 66 EURO immediately, I would not be able to board on the flights with my guitar. I was even more upset to find out that another passenger boarded the flight after me with a guitar and did not have to pay for it. My guitar fit perfectly in the over head cabin and even on a packed flight there was no issue with headroom caused by me. Although I paid and purchased a ticket for this flight, I was discriminated and treated as if I was doing something wrong. I did my best to be responsible and be among the first people to board the flight and instead I was mistreated. The rest of the passengers had exceptional amount of excess baggage in suitcases and bags they wanted to take on board and yet I was the only one who was asked to pay for his. --- As a costumer, I am appalled by the treatment I was getting and I would like to be contacted immediately about reimbursement over my experience and false costs."

Cons: "we got stuck on the plane for an hour and a half due to an issue with a passenger and the entire time the crew would not tell us what was going on. they started getting very irritated with people asking for water-- WATER-- while being stuck in a confined space for so long. the least they could've done was tell us what was going on or give us an ETA of when we'd be taking off. we didn't land until nearly midnight when we should've landed around 10 PM."

Cons: "i took a flight from jfk to tbilisi, georgia. i was very disappointed that on my 12 hour flight i did not have a food tray available for my seating, so i had to hold everything with my hands, i had to rush eating my food before getting my drink. i also had to take precautions because i didn't want to burn myself with the tea. another problem that the plane has one that one of the bathroom were out of order so there was a huge line just to go to the bathroom. and i also almost forgot to tell you that the plane was leaking water from the top. the person sitting in the next row was getting very frustrated with getting wet. is that even safe? i would never recommended this airways to anyone. by far the worse."

Cons: "1. They cancelled my flight and offered to fly me out a day earlier or a day later. Not a big deal as it was my vacation, but still annoying. 2. They changed my seat when the boarding started in spite of the fact that I had my boarding pass already. My confirmed seat was 9A and they moved me to 35G, which was the very last row on board and the seat did not fall back, so I spent 12 hours in one rigid position. 3. After the boarding, the plane did not take off for 2 hours without any explanation or apology. As a result, we spent around 12 hours in the plane instead of 10. 4. As a result of the delay, I almost missed my connecting flight. I had 20 minutes to get off the plane, take my new boarding pass for the next flight, and board. I can't describe how stressful and chaotic this all was. Other people also had the same problem and there was a huge line and a huge mess. The airport staff was very disorganized and unhelpful. I had to yell to get any attention and a new boarding pass. And then I had to run to catch my flight. 5. Unfortunately it's not surprising that my luggage did not arrive. It was early morning on Saturday (just past midnight) and my suitcase delivered on Tuesday evening in spite of the fact that there are flights between Kiev and Tbilisi twice every day. The worst is that nobody was giving me any information - Tbilisi airport, Ukrainian Airlines via website (online tracking) or telephone. They did answer my email saying that they will try to find it, but then went silent. The Tbilisi airport speculated that probably my suitcase never boarded the plane in JFK and it might be still stuck in New York. 6. Finally, a number of items were stolen from my suitcase - a handbag and a few pieces of clothes (blouse, tights, underwear). Clothes were brand new and had tags on them, but the handbag did not."
