Frustrating. I'm a long-time Alamo renter (and fan). But we got into a car that REEKED of cigarettes, and immediately reported that. We were told "oh, we'll make sure to credit you for that." When we returned the car at the end of our rental, that hadn't happened (no credit at all, no notation on the receipt). We called, and were told that someone from Burbank would be in touch. When we got the call from someone at Burbank, it was as if he hadn't looked at the record at all, and his message was "well, when you return the car, we can ..." WHAT?? The car was returned DAYS before this call was placed. SO frustrating - and ... why did we get a cigarette-reeking car in the first place? Someone had clearly sprayed one or two pumps of air freshener in it, but that quickly dissipated. Very, very, very disappointing.Reviewed 2021 Dec 29

Cons:The desk clerk gave me an option of a Suburban or a Ford Expedition. He recommended the Expedition based on gas mileage and comfort. We felt it was the right choice!Reviewed 2019 Dec 28

Cons:Airline cancelled our return flight and delayed our return one day. Called Alamo and asked to delay car return 1 day. Alamo representative said we could keep the car but the cost would go from $98.00 to $340.00. I offered to pay the one day rate of $60 for the additional day Chad said he could not do that and could not help. I drove to the airport and returned the car in a snowstorm. Paid the $98.00 and got a car from another agency. Beware of AlamoReviewed 2019 Nov 12

Pros:I expected the car that I rented..all the mid size cars were gone and they gave me a nice beautiful truckCons:We had to add an additional day on to our trip and you took advantage and charged $300 for the one extra day. It will be the last day...Reviewed 2019 Jun 10
