Their online check-in system is badly broken; took about 20 tries before it worked, including some attempts that took 10+ minutes of wait (which failed). The vehicles reeked of cigarette smoke (if was nauseating) but I was not warned at all that the vehicle was a smoking vehicle. Again and I again I find my experience with Hertz just frustrating overall. I would not recommend it to anyone.Reviewed 2024 Mar 30

Pros:The online rental experience was excellent.Cons:I was helped within 5 minutes of arrival. It took 1 1/2 hours to pick up the rental. The rental car was not at the location and they did not share this information with me. If they would have told the truth, I could have been much more understanding.Reviewed 2021 Apr 29

Pros:Friendly and helpful staff a Hertz location at Wichita Eisenhower National Airport.Cons:This car rental was similar to two other car rentals I have experienced in Wichita during the past two months. Enterprise, Avis and Hertz all promised a minivan or large suv. Enterprise cancelled on me one day before I needed the rental, telling me two renters had not returned vehicles. Avis and Hertz only had smaller capacity vehicles available. It seems there exists a bait-and-switch approach to car rentals in Wichita, Kansas.Reviewed 2021 Apr 29

Pros:Yes the staff were nice.Cons:The car was pretty dirty and if I understood correctly it is because they wash it offsite and they didn't have a way to clean after it got dirty in the rain. There was no windshield wiper fluid which was not a good deal when I got into some snow and rain. The car drove fantastic even though it had close to 50,000 miles.Reviewed 2021 Jan 22

Pros:I was not happy at all! I cancelled the rental more than 24 hrs prior to pickup and lost $50. I will NEVER consider hertz for a future rental.Cons:EVERYTHING!!!Reviewed 2020 Oct 26

Cons:I had a reservation for a truck and they sold it overnight and told me the next morning when I came to pick it up that they sold it and had nothing else to fill my reservation. Almost cost me my vacation. Thank you budget for getting me in a vehicle so fast and cheaper!Reviewed 2020 Jul 28

Pros:Staff was niceCons:Jeep had a deflated tire that needed filled quite a bit. Hatch had left over clothes in it. I Was charged a 70 airport tax and a 200 dollar deposit at the new location because the original pickup location was close due to overnight robbery. No one contacted me to inform me the location was closed.Reviewed 2019 Jul 16
