Hotel is hard to navigate - you have to go up some steps for registration....and down steps, and up another few steps to get to the elevator, which is hard to find. The restaurant staff was inattentive, and more concerned with mocking a customer that had left earlier than asking if I wanted a table, or would like to see the menu. (All of this when the restaurant was empty. Checking in was VERY annoying. There was a couple at the desk (which looks like a concierge booth) - it took her almost 20 minutes to finish checking in that couple. She was very rude with me. Spoke too fast, and when I asked if she could please repeat, she got upset, and mumbled something incoherent, and then mockingly spoke loud and VERY slowly.

Cons: Although the booking sites claim "free wifi" and "parking", both are additional. Parking is 30 dollars a night and wifi is 12 dollars a day. When we came in the man who checked us in reassured us of this when giving us our keys. the lady who checked is out was very persistent about us paying parking per night. Essentially if you stay for a week expect a 210 dollar fee. This is not the valet fee, just parking deck fee. The woman at check out was very rude about this charge.

Cons: We awoke about 3:30-4:00am to an EXTREMELY strong smell of marijuana...ugh..it literally was coming into the room through the door base and upon opening the door...the hallway was saturated. We had to put damp bath towels under the door to alleviate the odor. Also, my daughter called the room a couple of times from her work to only be addressed by a snarky hotel operator...otherwise a great stay...on a “high” note, I did mention my concerns to the front desk at check out and was addressed sincerely with a promise to investigate the matter.....many thanks...

After a late arrival, I was awoken at 07:00 the next day to jack hammering and drilling from the room next door, which continued until I complained at 08:00 (front desk did not appear to be aware, needed to contact engineering). Room service forgot to include bring one of the items that was ordered and itemized on the bill until after I pointed it out that the item was missing.

The staff always remembers us and are always so helpful, the food is great, they have a very nice bar area that we enjoy coming to after dinner, and once you get there you really don't have to get back in your car because the driver can take you most places!! Cons: Front desk poorly managed my hotel reservation. They spelled my name incorrectly and dis not send me a confirmation. I called a week before and they could not find me. I booked another hotel but then I remembered I gave a credit card to hold my room at intercontinental. I called again, they were able to find me but my name was spelled incorrectly. I tried to cancel and they said it's too late to cancel. So I stayed 1 night and they had the wrong bed type. They gave me 2 double beds. I asked for a king and a baby crib. Then, my best friend tried to deliver me a birthday gift. When she went to the front desk, the front desk would not take the package because my name was still incorrectly spelled in the system. Horrible experience all together.

Pros: My girlfriend and I spent a weekend in the city and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The room was perfect for our needs, it was clean and everything was as we expected. It was convenient to several restaurants and shopping. would definitely consider straying here again.

Cons: This was the worse hotel experience of my life!!! They had overbooked the hotel by a large number of guest and had to make arrangments for us at another hotel. The hotel was not in the location we wanted and they did not call and let us know ahead of time of the change so that we could arrive earlier instead of having to go half way across town to stay. The ast. Manager on duty was not appologetic and did not seem to care. I took it as this was a normal occurance by the way they acted.

This is not a typical Ritz-Carlton property and Marriott should probably change the brand of this location to something else. The hotel is located in the middle of Downtown Atlanta, and surrounded by homeless people and crime. The first night we were there someone was shot across the street from the hotel, but that’s a lot of Atlanta. The property is dated and while the rooms have been somewhat updated, the pillows were terrible, the bathroom is small, the toilet didn’t work, several items in the room were glitchy, and the feel of the hotel is not at par with the price. The saving grace of this hotel is the staff, they were amazing. From the valet and bellman team, to the front desk and the housekeeping staff, all lovely and top notch. This property also has one of the nicest gyms I’ve seen in a hotel. If this hotel was branded anything other than a Ritz, I would’ve have scored it higher but the expectations don’t meet the brand.

You should just send the towels to the room, whether the guest is going out or not. Don't hand the guests the towels. Cons: From the moment I pulled up the entire staff was rude and not service oriented. The security guard outside was very rude which may have influenced my overall attitude. Then I get inside and the front desk clerk was very abrupt and also rude. It seemed like my family and I were an inconvience to her. She was having what sounded like a personal conversation and we interrupted her. The next two days the front desk personnel were very polite and helpful. The young lady who checked us out was great.

Pros: Hotel was within walking distance to the aquarium, world of Coca Cola, Olympic park, and Ferris wheel. We were given a room near the top with a good view of the Ferris wheel and CNN building. Kids loved seeing that out the window.
Cons: I am apparently different than most, but I enjoy my privacy in the bathroom. Our room had a type of barn door on a track, but it didn't fully close. If you were in the bed watching tv, you could see someone sitting on the toilet. Just a personal preference that the door is completely closed.

Pros: The staff was excellent! They were very friendly and helpful. The unexpected social hour the evening we arrived was a nice surprise. The valet, Lonnie, was very helpful with directions getting around the city. Everyone was accommodating and seemed genuinely concerned that each guest was happy and taken care of.
Cons: The bed was a bit uncomfortable. For a queen size, it seemed a bit small. Upgrading the mattresses in this location would take it to the next level of comfort.

Pros: The hotel is very conveniently located in downtown Atlanta, and is right across the street from a MARTA stop, making it easy to get around town. The price on Kayak, only $90 a night, made it easily the cheapest hotel in the area. However, I would be disappointed if I had paid full price ($140 and up) for the stay.
Cons: The room was fairly small and cramped, the doors opened in on the bathroom and made it very difficult for two people to comfortably stand in front of the mirror. We reserved two nights, and the morning after the first night we had people coming to our door and calling the room, asking if we were "staying an extra night." It turns out they had misread the reservation and thought it was only one night. Some of the staff were very nice, but it was a little offputting to feel like we were being asked to leave when we had the room reserved. Overall, the hotel was okay, but I wouldn't be too excited to stay again.

Cons: The only parking available was $35/night, which I get is pretty standard for downtown properties, but we did have to find parking. Some of the furniture in the room was a little dinged up, could probably use some renovating. One of the elevators was having some issues but not a big deal.

The staff did everything on their power to make it right for us, but I think they were handicapped by the facilities and resources available to them. Hilton needs to make an investment in this facility!

Pros: You can't beat the location. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Cute room layout. Free cookies, coffee/tea, and fruit-infused water at front desk. Good free breakfast. During breakfast, the manager even walked around to all the tables and asked how everyone's stay was. He was very personable, as was all the staff. Excellent customer service. Overall incredible value. Hamptons seem to be really stepping up their game lately.
Cons: The TV didn't work the morning of our checkout. Also, you have to pay for parking, but it's honesty not really a negative because you'd have to pay for parking anyway to do any downtown Atlanta activities.

Pros: The Westin Peachtree was a lovely hotel; we would definitely stay there again. My only complaint was that we went to the bar for some late night snacks/drinks and it took an incredibly long time for us to be served. The food took an hour and we only ordered a quesadilla! Granted they were busy, but I think they should've been able to handle the crowd since they are a well-established facility. There was no manager there to address the issue. That being said, we also ate breakfast there the next morning and the service was very prompt. Overall the hotel was really nice, clean and comfortable.

Cons: We drove around Atlanta for 20 minutes looking for the hotel as the GPS did not direct us properly. When we called the hotel for better directions the message that plays is something to the extent of "This mailbox is not accepting messages". I checked in at 9:50pm and was told the water would be shut off from 10pm until 1am. I quickly used the restroom and brushed my teeth not knowing how long there would be water. After settling, I went to the lobby to print my boarding passes for my flight the next day and the computer would not work. When I asked about it, I was told it hasnt worked for a while and was offered a ride to Kinkos the next day to print my boarding pass. Being that I was there for business I did not have time to go to Kinkos. When I woke up at 6:40 the next morning there was still no running water. This meant no way to flush the toilet, brush my teeth, or shower for my business meeting. Overall not impressed with my stay. They should have transferred guests to a different Marriott branch in the city that had running water.

Pros: I loved the staff. I have stayed in plenty of hotels from days to a week. This staff was hands down the best. Friendly from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. I wish I could be name them all but it would be easier just to say the whole crew. It only made our stay that more pleasant. Even the shuttle bus driver went above and beyond for us and others. Right by Underground Atlanta...so it was different but a pleasant stay. Would I stay again. HELL YEAH!

I checked out at 8 am the next day and there was still no water .... therefore, there was no way to flush a toilet, take a shower or brush my teeth. Facilities were not in great shape - the hook in the bathroom for the towels fell off the wall as soon as we put a towel on it.

Pros: The staff my husband and I interacted with were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a couple minor issues which the staff promptly resolved with speed and a positive attitude. Loved the down blankets and pillows. The workout facility was nice and even had hand weights up to 30lbs. Found some nice restaurants nearby. Location is close to the interstate so easy to get around. Close to downtown but far enough away from to avoid busy traffic.
