Pros: location was great - VERY close to the ferris wheel. Rooms were clean and decorated with a very modern/trendy decor. The bed was comfortable.

Hotel is hard to navigate - you have to go up some steps for registration....and down steps, and up another few steps to get to the elevator, which is hard to find. The restaurant staff was inattentive, and more concerned with mocking a customer that had left earlier than asking if I wanted a table, or would like to see the menu. (All of this when the restaurant was empty. Checking in was VERY annoying. There was a couple at the desk (which looks like a concierge booth) - it took her almost 20 minutes to finish checking in that couple. She was very rude with me. Spoke too fast, and when I asked if she could please repeat, she got upset, and mumbled something incoherent, and then mockingly spoke loud and VERY slowly.

Cons: We opted to pre-check the day before arrival and requested a spacious room from the options. The room we received was so small that there was no space to place our open luggage! Also, the shower was fairly small and no bathtub.

Pros: I liked the room and friendliness of the customer facing staff quite a bit.
Cons: The management was terrible, I was double charged by the Hotel and ended up getting stuck in Atlanta and missing 2 days of work, which were 2 days I didnt get paid for. Overall it was a really stressful and bad experience.

It was absolutely beautiful! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean. I can't say enough good things about our stay! I highly recommend it!!

The bed linens were pilled, the bathrooms were dated and tiles cracked, the remote was sticky (as in the buttons wouldn't work and there was candy stuck on it), there was an odor to the room (fixed temporarily by febreeze I purchased), stains on the carpet and chair, the tissues were re-stuffed into the box., the toilet paper was not fresh, you can hear everyone else flushing and showering, lamps that had blown... The room aside, I thought I would at least be won over with southern charm, but I got better service at the Chick-fil-A. All of my calls to the front desk went to voicemail where my messages were never responded to, even in person questions asked at the front desk weren't responded to, and when asked for recommendations was either sent to a salon where I wouldn't even send my dearest enemy or was given none at all. Thank goodness for Yelp. The outside is still beautiful and charming, although the cleanliness level of the hotel steered me away from trying their restaurant, I would say lunch on their patio would be the best way to experience the hotel where the Gone With the Wind premiere was held - and stay elsewhere.

Pros: I was not there a lot but the shower was clean and spacious. I had a great view of midtown Atlanta. I felt secure because of the valet parking and floor accessed only with your room key. The beds were clean and fluffy but supportive.

They are in the midst of renovations, and the constant jack hammering, or whatever tool they were using will reverberate into your room. You can cover the noise by turning the tv up loud, but that defeats the purpose of trying to relax.

Pros: Hotel was within walking distance to the aquarium, world of Coca Cola, Olympic park, and Ferris wheel. We were given a room near the top with a good view of the Ferris wheel and CNN building. Kids loved seeing that out the window.
Cons: I am apparently different than most, but I enjoy my privacy in the bathroom. Our room had a type of barn door on a track, but it didn't fully close. If you were in the bed watching tv, you could see someone sitting on the toilet. Just a personal preference that the door is completely closed.

Pros: The hotel is very conveniently located in downtown Atlanta, and is right across the street from a MARTA stop, making it easy to get around town. The price on Kayak, only $90 a night, made it easily the cheapest hotel in the area. However, I would be disappointed if I had paid full price ($140 and up) for the stay.
Cons: The room was fairly small and cramped, the doors opened in on the bathroom and made it very difficult for two people to comfortably stand in front of the mirror. We reserved two nights, and the morning after the first night we had people coming to our door and calling the room, asking if we were "staying an extra night." It turns out they had misread the reservation and thought it was only one night. Some of the staff were very nice, but it was a little offputting to feel like we were being asked to leave when we had the room reserved. Overall, the hotel was okay, but I wouldn't be too excited to stay again.

Pros: The rooms were clean and lush with plenty of small comforts like extra towels. I was, according to my roommate, asleep in seconds after hitting my pillow. Staff members were cheerful, respectful, intelligent, and able to adapt to situations as needed. There was a full gym, which I did not expect (I figured a couple of treadmills, tops), and a nice-sized computer/business room. The restaurant's breakfast offerings were varied, so that even my limited diet was catered to, and deliciously so. The chicken strips during the evening wine hour were also quite tasty, and my roommate says the wine was lovely. All in all a lovely experience. MAJOR props to housekeeping.

Pros: TL,DR; List: - Clean and modern - Awesome view - Two blocks from Centennial Park and all the attractions there (Aquarium, Coke museum, etc) - The staff was pretty awesome and very friendly We were there for only two nights for a concert that was in the park, so the location was the entire reason I chose the hotel. The room was a tad small, but well maintained and modernly furnished. I wish they had glass doors in the shower instead of a tub and a curtain, as I have 3 kids that don't know how to keep the curtain in the tub and thus the water not all over the bathroom floor. There were a LOT of places to eat around the hotel, but most were either SUPER pricey or not opened on the weekend as the most likely catered to the business crowd. There is an underground mall that we found had a pizza joint and a chinese place opened. Waffle House is also a couple blocks away, and on your way to the park. We also walked over to The Varsity for lunch so the kids could experience it. It was about a 20min walk each way. Other immediate eateries I saw: Hooters (across the street, open till midnight), Hard Rock Cafe (also across the street), some brazillian steakhouse that looked AMAZING, a fish place named Ray's that looked pretty pricey, several bar-and-grill type places, and some cozy little place a block down that had a cute name that had southern food. Parking was crazy. My GPS took me to the smaller entrance, so I wasn't aware there was self-parking right at the hotel. It was $22 per day to self-park, but I ended up where the guard pointed me towards a block away for $20 a day. I would have rather paid the extra $2 a day and had the car in a more convenient location. Since we were just there a couple days, and had no intention of going anywhere in the car, the only benefit would have been packing our stuff into the car and taking off without having to walk through the city with all our luggage. The pool was a bit interesting. I loved the fact that it was inside, so even though it was raining all weekend, the kids and I were able to take a dip. It's a strange little pool, not concrete but rather some sort of plastic insert. The biggest let down was that we did not see a hot tub. Nothing better to relax after standing for a 4hr concert in the park than to relax in the hot tub. Also, to get to the pool (and the workout room), you have to go to the 9th floor, then over to another elevator off to the side, then up to the 11th floor. Seemed very strange, but I guess they may have added the pool later. Lastly, we found out the last day that you can go up to the tippy-top floor, where they have some observation decks setup. We got all excited, since the hotel is like 70+ floors, and we were told you can see several states away. However, we found out that it isn't opened until like 3pm, and being out last day and having a 8hr drive back home ahead of us, we were not able to actually go up there. Oh well, maybe next time.

Cons: Entrance was confusing. Tons of construction. Parking garage only has 6 foot clearance so if you have a truck or SUV you need to pay oversized valet @ $32. Beds were very soft, full-sized, not queen as written in description. No complimentary breakfast. No hot water. Our showers were luke-warm. Would not stay here again. The people who wrote good reviews must never stay in hotels. It's a step above camping, and a step below Holiday Inn.

Pros: Pretty good location. Walking distance to aquarium and World of Coke, and MARTA station. Series of skywalks connecting hotels made it nice to walk around Atlanta out of the heat, and away from traffic. A little tricky finding how they all connect up inside each hotel, though.
Cons: Elevator from parking deck came up into a construction area: there was no sign indicating this would be the case. That area was closed for entry from the hotel lobby. Other elevator to/from parking deck had a stop on the LL level which was a room slightly larger than the elevator, but with the exit doors chained shut. Seemed like a fire hazard or a claustrophobic nightmare. Every little thing was an extra fee, including the internet whose price didn't match what was on the reservation. The restaurant in the basement, Trader Vic's, doesn't know the difference between a "reservation" and a "wait list."

Pros: Hotel is clean, has multiple on-site restaurants including Atlanta's only Tiki Bar, service is prompt and is connected by Slybridge to The Marriot Marquis convention center/hotel.
Cons: They recently removed their pool and are in the process of installing a large conference center instead. The pillows on the bed are on the flat side and difficult to sleep on, but the front desk is able to get you extra pillows.

In a central location, very close to several landmarks including Olympic park, CNN, etc. Even though it is on the side of a highway, the room is sealed very well. It is very quiet. Cons: I complained on 2 of the intended three nights of smoking. THere was clearly smoking in one of the rooms near mine or on the floor below. The security team agreed and said that they could not do anything about it. Clearly the cleaning staff would have noticed after one night and been able to stop it. I had a headache and woke up with my allergies inflamed . I had to leave the hotel. I went to the Marriott Midtown Suites...awesome...

Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lady in the gift shop, and when our car battery died the man who jumped the car. Very helpful.
Cons: For the price it was quite plain. No microwave or fridge in room. Beds were probably worst ever, didn't sleep at all! AC barely worked, it stayed hot and humid in the room and when we asked for a fan they said they had none because the rooms are cooled. Then we saw the concierge with a fan. Breakfast paid extra for not worth it and was accessible to anyone.

Cons: Valet parking was too expensive yet the parking garage was around the corner, 5 mins walking, and not in the safest area of town. At the front door you had to carry your luggage up the stairs before putting it on a cart bc there is no ramp etc etc a wheelchair lift. The morning of check-out I was fixing the sheets and I found a hair stuck to the sheets (that definitely wasn't ours) in something that looked like snot. I almost threw up. I think the facility could be cleaner

Cons: We drove around Atlanta for 20 minutes looking for the hotel as the GPS did not direct us properly. When we called the hotel for better directions the message that plays is something to the extent of "This mailbox is not accepting messages". I checked in at 9:50pm and was told the water would be shut off from 10pm until 1am. I quickly used the restroom and brushed my teeth not knowing how long there would be water. After settling, I went to the lobby to print my boarding passes for my flight the next day and the computer would not work. When I asked about it, I was told it hasnt worked for a while and was offered a ride to Kinkos the next day to print my boarding pass. Being that I was there for business I did not have time to go to Kinkos. When I woke up at 6:40 the next morning there was still no running water. This meant no way to flush the toilet, brush my teeth, or shower for my business meeting. Overall not impressed with my stay. They should have transferred guests to a different Marriott branch in the city that had running water.

Pros: Very scary area. Lots of vagrants and young men loitering. Room was okay, but the hotel advertised a lounge/bar which they closed over a year ago. There was no ice machine on our floor. Upon checkin, I was told there would be no water from 10 pm to 1 am ... I checked out at 8 am the next day and there was still no water .... therefore, there was no way to flush a toilet, take a shower or brush my teeth. The staff upon checkin, during my stay and checkout were excellent, helpful and kind.

Pros: I loved the staff. I have stayed in plenty of hotels from days to a week. This staff was hands down the best. Friendly from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. I wish I could be name them all but it would be easier just to say the whole crew. It only made our stay that more pleasant. Even the shuttle bus driver went above and beyond for us and others. Right by Underground Atlanta...so it was different but a pleasant stay. Would I stay again. HELL YEAH!

Cons: Fire alarm went off at 5 am and it took a full hour for the staff to get it turned off. I got the impression from several staff members that this happens fairly regularly. There was also no organized announcement of any information, so many guests weren't sure if there was an actual emergency or not. Some guests were left standing outside on fire escapes long after everyone in the lobby had been told we could go back to our rooms. Facilities were not in great shape - the hook in the bathroom for the towels fell off the wall as soon as we put a towel on it.
