I had booked a Mazda 6, but instead I was given a Mazda CX-3, which is a much smaller car. Instead of upgrading me to a similar or better vehicle, Avis downgraded my rental, which was extremely disappointing. It then took two to three days for anyone to respond to my complaints. I received no proper response until I repeatedly contacted the team and pushed the issue. Eventually, after three days, they managed to bring me a Mazda 6 — but unfortunately, it was an extremely old and poorly maintained car. It was in poor condition, and definitely not the quality of vehicle I expected. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience with Avis. I expected much better service and a proper replacement vehicle. Based on this experience, I will not be renting a car from Avis again.Reviewed 2026 Sept 15
