We had issues in Jackson. There was no registration in the car and we got NO rental paperwork. I went back inside and was told we didn't need any paperwork. When we dropped off the car yesterday, we were told we were an hour late and it would cost us an additional $300-! We had no idea that we had a specific time to drop off the car (in Billings MT); we spent an hour in Billings just driving around and could have dropped the car off had we known we had a specific time to drop it off! I was told a manager from Avis would call me tomorrow to talk to me about this. The car was wonderful. The guys in Billings were empathetic about the situation.Reviewed 2023 Aug 12

The pick-up and drop-off was really easy. They had all my info and just handed me the keys without any paperwork. The staff were friendly and helpful. The car was better than expected as well. I only have two complaints: 1. The car reeked of residual smoke and whatever Avis used to try to clean the vehicle. 2. I was a bit peeved by a price change. Kayak changed the price after initially committing to a lower price. I didn't find the change until much later when I had no other options. Kayak should have made that obvious up front, and I don't understand why the price changed at all in the first place. Other than that, the experience was fine. We had a car. Did not like the car, a Hyundai Elantra. It was hard to get into and out of. No service agent was at the airport on drop off. The car could have been cleaned better. There was a film on the inside of the windshield. On a positive note, the car got good gas mileage.Reviewed 2021 Aug 08

Counter clerk forgot to provide me with a receipt to use as registration in case of a traffic stop. Instructions for returning the vehicle were not clear. Economy cars are very pricy. Not the best car rental experience I've ever had.Reviewed 2021 Aug 03

Cons:The pick up location was a 20 min drive from the airport and they only ran 1 shuttle every 20-40 min. Also they did NOT have social distancing on the shuttle. They filled almost every seatReviewed 2020 Sep 16
