Infotainment system didn't work and felt belittledPros:I had a Focus and unbeknownst to me it was a hybrid model. This made for great mileage and saved on the gas expense. Despite being overpriced in my opinion, it was the lowest price that Kayak had available.Cons:The entire infotainment system regularly shut off for the entire trip. While I had declined the Sirius and Navigation, it still made me unable to listen to the radio or CDs. The worker when I picked up the car was pretty condescending in her efforts to try and get me to spend more money. I had a one-way trip of about 600 miles, and I felt like the charge was pretty high for just a 24 hour rental.Reviewed 2018 Aug 01

The only rental car that I have had to take to carPros:Comfortable car. Good priceCons:Sunflower seeds and food in cup holders. Filthy dash and inside windshield. The guys at the car wash showed me their black paper towels after cleaning inside windshield.Reviewed 2017 Mar 27

Worst experience we have ever had with a rental caPros:I didn't like anything.Cons:Customer service is awful. My husband had to fly to Peoria for a funeral at the last minute we had a car reserved. The computers at Budget Rental were not working and instead of working with him, they refused to rent him a car even though they had our credit card on file and he had the credit card in his possession they refused renting a car . he even offered them cash. He had to call a family member in the middle of the night because his flight got in late, to have that family member come and pick him up. I tried to talk to the woman on the phone to give her another credit card because they said they needed to charge more money than what the car actually was on to our account to pre-approve it. She was rude and unhelpful. Worst experience I've ever had with getting a car and my husband ended up having to rely on his family to get around town because he did not end up renting the car... we gave up. We didn't have a choice really ; when I tried to call customer service to complain or to solve the problem, they said their computers were down and they could not help me, that I needed to call back later. At that point it was way too late. We will never ever ever ever used Budget Cars again. Basically, because they could not process our credit card because of their own problems with computers, my husband was left without transportation in a time of family crises. I can't even express my disgust in budget car rental and also delta airlines, who also was having computer problems and still has our credit card tied up with pending charges for tickets we never purchased. Also, who could not fix it. I remember when companies used to bend over backwards to be helpful when a family member passed away.Reviewed 2016 Aug 31
