Office was unorganized, garbage on floor, furnished with folding chairs staff seemed unprofessional and unsure of procedure, not very communicative, car smelled awful. Manager was argumentative, sarcastic, condescending on the phone with customers, snapped at employees and very unprofessional in demeanor. Do not rent here.Reviewed 2023 Jul 24

Pick up took 50 minutes. I was told that someone had called in sick so the only lady there had to go clean each car before it could get rented. Then the manager came in and explained the car cleaner had hand surgery and was out for weeks (so the lack of car cleaner was entirely foreseeable.) They also told me they didn't have my reservation despite me having a kayak confirmation email with a Hertz confirmation number. When I went to pick up the car, eventhough it had been prepaid, they told me I could not rent it unless my credit card had a "chip" in it, which mine did not. Then they wanted to switch credit cards and when I agreed, they wanted to charge me $150 extra.Reviewed 2021 Sep 20

Cons:Our flight in Chicago cancelled. We were unable to change the pick up location from Peoria to Chicago We were stranded in Chicago at night. We had to get another car from Chicago to Peoria and then the next day go get our Kayak rental in Peoria. We paid for a day we did not use. The other problem was booking through Kayak there was no opportunity to cancel. We will never book another car through Kayak.Reviewed 2018 Aug 27
