Pros: Hurricane Matthew messed up our plans for our wedding ceremony on the beaches of South Carolina, so we decided to ease the pain with a three day jaunt with our boys to Hyatt Ziva. Having spent a weekend at Hyatt Zilara in late June for my wife's birthday, we were somewhat familiar with the Hyatt brand, and knew what to expect from a quality standpoint. The friendliness of the staff is what we enjoyed the most. They make you feel like they are genuinely happy you are there, from the concierge staff to the kids club staff, and everyone in between. The hospitality is top-notch. The sugar sand beaches at Ziva are really nice. Both are protected so the crystal clear waters are calm and refreshing. The lounge chair area next to Habenero's was the best, being right next to the water with service staff to deliver drinks with a smile. Our 6 yr old can't stop talking about The Kids Club. He had such a good time with other kids his age, playing in the water park or eating lunch in one of the restaurant's, or making arts and crafts together. Total winner in that regard. We were able to enjoy the live salsa band that played Thursday night on the rooftop bar. We had a blast dancing all night long.
Cons: There were some things that we wished were better. We had a great time dancing Thursday night, but that was it. No other night had any exciting thing to do. We were treated to some nice performances on Friday night, which was Mexico night, so the main area was decorated and vendors had set up shop to sell stuff, and the food was pretty amazing as well, but we still were disappointed that there wasn't another club like atmosphere to enjoy. And speaking of the food, it was spotty at best. Other than the fare that was offered on Mexico night, it was kinda disappointing. We weren't expecting a gourmet experience, but we thought it would be better than it was. The pool areas seemed a little bi-polar. The main area had someone talking on the speaker constantly, with this droll, canned music playing in the background, and the water felt like a bathtub. In contrast, the smaller pool area on the south beach side was to quiet, with no music at all and the water was downright cold. We thought that a little more balance would have been nice. I was charged and international transaction fee by the resort. When I first questioned what this charge was, they told me that it was from my bank. But after talking to my bank today I was notified that it was in fact the resort that facilitated this charge. I will be calling them this afternoon to address this. Overall it was a great weekend.

Pros: The location of the resort was perfect. Very close to the shopping, supermarkets, restaurants, ferry to Isla Mujeres. The beach on the resort was also very beautiful. The resort itself was also incredibly nice. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would definitely go back to this resort.
Cons: We had dinner at the Mexican restaurant in the resort one night; which is a buffet as opposed to a la carte ordering. The dinner was very expensive and "included drinks," however the available drink selection was limited to cheap options that I wouldn't order normally. We also ate dinner a little on the later side and it appeared that the food in the buffet was sitting around for a while before we showed up to eat. All in all, I recommend eating outside of the resort. You will get better food at lower prices.

Pros: The staff was excellent, very attentive and helpful and mostly bilingual. We were there in March and the weather was great, but the beach is shaded fairly early in the afternoon. We had to keep moving around the pool to stay in the sun. Luckily the resort was not full so it was not a problem. We did not eat at the buffets, but ordered off the menu and the food was very good.

Pros: Third time in past 2 years we've stayed here. Great pool and poolside service. Lobby is excellent ambience as well. Good restaurants and food. Excellent rooms, great views, great beach. We like it because it isn't all inclusive but every bit as nice. As it is not all inclusive, gives us plenty of freedom to decide whether to stay in or go off property for eating and/or activities. So some days and part days we hung out at the pool and swam in the ocean. Other days we ventured out to sail to Isla Mujeres and into town to eat at street side cafe.
Cons: Practically nothing is not to like about this hotel. In the past I've eaten at the breakfast buffet, which is excellent. But this time decided the $30ea price tag was a little much. Instead, we tended to sleep in and skip breakfast, instead snacking on some fruit/granola in the room before grabbing an early lunch around 11-12 (early by Mexican standards at least, who are accustomed to lunch between 1-2), and then not feel bad about spending more for dinner most nights.

Pros: Overall the location was excellent, close to night clubs. The pools were awesome and not to mention the staff was top notch. Beach was clean and easy to access, the pools were well maintained and clean. The room was clean, WIFI worked in my room but got better reception in the lobby area.

Pros: High quality luxury hotel with compact layout. Pools and beach about a minute walking from the main lobby area. Beach has little surf and is very swim-able. Bars and restaurants were all high quality and reasonably cheap. I took a mini suite which has a seating area between the sleeping area and the balcony. Perfect for lounging in the afternoon. Plenty of bars, restaurants and nightclubs with 5 minutes walk if you want to experience something outside the hotel.

Beach and Pool in shadow of hotel. 2) Too many kids for what wants to be a luxurious hotel. 3) Make sure you use the room sign to declare you want privacy. Maids came in every day while we were sleeping or dressing despite our shouting - please don't come in now.

Pros: It's right on the beach with plenty of pools and bars to kick it at. The staff is very professional, and > 90% are bilingual. There is even a water sports hut at the end of the beach where you can rent jet skis, parasailing, water jet packs, etc.
Cons: If you're going here in the off-season like we did, I would note that the back side of the hotel (where all the pools and beach are located) does NOT face the sun!! So it gets dark a little early for our taste. The sun went down behind the big hotel at like 3 PM each day. We started waking up at 8 AM to get the most out of our day once we overslept and found out the hard way.

Food was pretty great as well, especially the Asian and French restaurants, although, I enjoyed them all. The staff took our stay to the nextt level They know your name, cater to your every whim and genuinely want you to have a good time. The event coordinators we met(Marcos, Luis, Joe and Nestor) made sure there was plenty to do every day if that's what your in to and the bar tenders and drink staff were incredible. Ever was our bar hop and he went above and beyond for us! Love this resort, will most certainly be back!

Pros: This hotel is beautiful! It's very modern, the staff is very friendly, the pools are great and the quality of food is amazing. Concierge were able to help me propose to my girlfriend and made the experience even more special than I expected. It was relaxing and romantic.
Cons: Being in Cancun, you will still experience the party at a minor level. It was a bit distracting and unrelaxing at times to hear clearly from our room the pool activities from the hotel next door till probably 1am on certain days. Also, the worst thing we experienced was the slow room service. No matter what time you would request it, it would take from 50 to 120 mins. I also had an accident with a juice that spilled inside my room, for which I had to wait over 1 hour for the cleaning services to arrive and take care of.

We purchased an preffered room and we were able to access the private pool on the 12th floor which was fantastic. The other pools were fantastic as well...not to be missed for certain. The staff was a lot of fun, very entertaining. Secrets the Vine is fantastic. My wife loved it!
Cons: I really did not like...scratch that...hated the sales pitch upon our arrival. An employee sat down with us to review the resort credits (that we never used BTW) and other details. I paid for the room online well in advance and really did not appreciate the pressure to go have a TWO HOUR breakfast with one of their sales people. I knew what I was buying before I arrived and did not need to be re-sold on the resort when we got there. My only knock on Secrets is the pressure to join their club and pay a high rate so we can visit their resorts on the cheap and our friends and family can go to their resorts for an inexpensive rate as well. Quite frankly, I am in no way shape or form interested in financing the vacations of friends and family. The Secrets club may work for some people but the notion seems utterly ridiculous to me!

From the moment we stepped foot from our airport transfer, every single staff member that we interacted with throughout our stay was completely warm, courteous helpful, and just extremely nice. I concluded that the reason the property is prettier than neighboring resorts has to be due to the fact that there was always a small number of staff maintaining a meticulous level of cleanliness and presentation. The open air concept of the hotel is neat and helps to provide that tropical feel. As an all inclusive, adults only resort, food and drinks were also amazing...not to mention that they have all of the popular premium liquors (Grey Goose, Capt Morgan, Crown Royal etc). Finally, it's even prettier than the photos that you'll find on the web!

Pros: The pool is amazing and the swing bar and swim up bar are lovely features. The location on the beach is stunning and we never tired of the views across the infinity pool. The spa is very high spec and the therapists good. We would definitely go back and highly recommend Live Aqua Cancun.
Cons: The food was not always to the highest or consistent standard in all the restaurants compared to the luxurious style of the hotel. The pillows are uncomfortable. One of our rooms needed an upgrade in the bathroom.

Pros: A great place, I met my kids there for some relaxing togetherness! The staff is friendly, helpful without being pushy. The place is clean, beautiful and laid back. People from all over the world to meet and enough food variety to keep you from getting bored.
Cons: This visit it wasn't too crowded but I've been there in the past where you have to stalk out your place at the pool. We went because we love the place and got a great deal through Kayak I couldn't afford it at regular price. I would love to get notification that Live Aqua wasn't crowded and had a deal going on - I'd be there again in a minute.

Cons: The food was bad. I kept on trying to give this place 2nd and 3rd chances to see if they had anything good. But I was constantly disappointed. It was edible, but far from good. The nail in the coffin is when we got a taco from the airport and it was better than all the food we had at this hotel. Room felt a little dirty, shower leaked, shower glass door had someone's name scratched into it.

Thank you! -Accommodation: Awesome! we stayed in the single studio with the kitchenette. Just perfect to eat in if needed (Grills on site). Downtown was "Mega", Walmart, Costco, etc to get groceries. Just south was a grocery store called Soriana in Kulkukan Mall. Great restaurants within walking distance. Great food within the resort. You can find everything you are looking for within walking distance of the resort. La Isla shopping right across the street. Bus stops right in front of the resort. Everyone says to ask for the higher levels. We stayed on the second floor and took the stairs...nice to not have to wait for elevators. -Resort: Activities for all ages. You find your people...playing volleyball, kids club, sports lounge, by the pool, or down on the beach. -International: We met people from all over the word staying at this resort (Russia, England, Paraguay, Spain, Qatar, Canada, USA)

Don't order scrambled eggs(they must use premix or something but omlettes and fried eggs good). Water sports nice, rooms are clean and luxurious . Amenities in room exceptional. had toothbrushes, toothpaste, irons, robes, shampoos, soaps, etc.... Please remember to tip even though a tip is included in your room price. They make very little daily; like $4-6 a day and tips help. We paid $5-10 per meal, $1-2 round of drinks, housekeeper $20 for entire stay, bellmen $1 per bag.

So, if you are in and out during the day; your room will be cool but not as to what you think will be the best comfort you expect. When you wake in am you will be cold, but during day; not so much.. Pros: I liked the location, the safety, the beautiful buildings, and grounds. Many choices for foods, including healthy choices too. Favorite restaurants were the tapas restaurant, and the main buffet. Drinks were great, lots of fresh squeezed juices and of course specialty cocktails. The coffee and ice cream shop was fun. Service was good overall and room service was quick too. The staff at the front desk was very nice. We saved money by getting a regular room and not a rooftop suite or swim up suite and it was plenty nice. Service was always good, tip was "included" but I always tip when it was outstanding which was most of the time.
Cons: The Jacuzzi tub in your room can overflow very easily if you fill it too high...beware. They don't serve red bull or any energy drinks on the property. Some restaurants were closed, due to private parties, so you don't always get as many choices as you expect. They ran out of towels in the beach/pool area. Most restaurants are closed between 4-6pm. Dress code in the different restaurants and no reservations allowed is a pain. There was quite a bit of seaweed on the sand due to a lot of wind. There are way too many light switches in the room, it can take 10 minutes just to figure out how to turn them all off at the end of the night.

Pros: I have visited MANY all inclusive hotels, and OMNI Cancun was BY FAR, the BEST food I have EVER had! We ate at almost every single restaurant on site while we were there and did not have a single bad thing to say about anything we ate. It was better than most restaurants that you go out and pay for! There was a TON of staff and we hardly ever waited long for anything. They were very accommodating. The rooms were beautiful and in pristine condition. We loved using the gym, tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball court, pools and sauna. I will definitely be back! =)

Pros: The rooms were beautiful, well-stocked, clean and comfortable. We had a suite with 2 ocean view balconies, a jacuzzi in the bedroom, walk-in closet. It was big and felt luxurious which we enjoyed. The property was clean and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

We were only there for 4 days and it felt overwhelming to make decisions about where to eat, what to do, etc. It took us a day to orient ourselves because we didn't receive a good orientation to the property when we checked in (they were only interested in getting us to the sales pitch breakfast). The restaurants lacked ambiance and I felt like I was in a Vegas casino in the lobbies. It was also so busy and there were so many people everywhere that I never felt like I was fully relaxed. I spent most of the time on the beach so I wouldn't have to listen to the loud music and games being played by the pools. The sand was white and soft, but the water was covered in seaweed so it wasn't great for swimming. The food was ok, but nothing to write home about. This might be a good choice if you were planning an extended stay, but even if I were going on a longer trip I would not stay here again. I was with a group of friends so it didn't stop us from having a great time (the all-inclusive alcohol helped!) but the resort was not a highlight of the trip.

Pros: This resort goes a ones and beyond for all if their guests to be having a good time. From children, teenagers, to adults this resort goes above and beyond like I have never seen before. There's always something for everyone. The pools are beautiful with ample amounts to sit. The restaurants are all very good (make reservations at the golf coarse restaurants... We loves the Italian one so much we did it two nights). The entertainment is comparable to that of Las Vegas. The rooms are spacious and cleaned to perfection daily. The landscaping is beautiful. Again, if you are not havingn a good time here then there is something wrong with you. This place was a true paradise with top notch service. I really thought I was in heaven and will most definitely be back next year!

Our beach front room was a bit bare (furniture wise) but it was clean and roomy. Cleaning staff did a great job. Bus stop right out front will get you to center of nightlife (about a five minute ride) for under a dollar. It's location away from the center made the beach that much better and less crowded. We had a great stay.

W made lots of friends with the staff and some other travelers. The resort had all types of people including families. Also important we could get a chair on beach or at the pool.

Pros: Royal Solaris is a fairly inexpensive all inclusive with decent sea views. Multiple choices in places to eat. Some of the wait staff actually made an effort to make our honeymoon enjoyable. A waiter by the name of Mibsam was the friendliest individual on staff by far. The members working the front desk were always very helpful as well.
Cons: I've stayed at two other resorts in Cancun and a third in Cozumel. All of which were competively priced with this one and offered equivalent all inclusive packages. All had nicer rooms, higher quality finishes to give a luxury feel, and professional staff. 1. The Rooms The first room my wife and I experienced was less than ideal. The ceiling was so short we both could reach up and touch the ceiling. All bathrooms lacked ventilation so mold and paint bubbling should be expected. The first room's bathroom had a curious layout with lights hanging out of the socket. It was fixed shortly thereafter, but if I had kids I would not have accepted the room. Exposed electrical surfaces in a wet space with no ventilation is a disaster waiting to happen. We payed to upgrade our room to the jacuzzi room which looked much more like a normal hotel room. The bathroom still didn't have any ventilation. in addition, the tile work wasn't very impressive. The finishes looked very sloppy and didn't seem to have a luxury feel. Get what you pay for... 2. Staff aforementioned are the staff that were very helpful and good at their jobs. What I was concerned about is that very few people were concerned about making our honeymoon special. Bartenders were always very nice, maybe a little too nice.. There were numerous spring breakers and Its always okay to let lose. There needs to be more discretion as to when to cut somebody off. Every day there was someone being wheelchaired out. Alcohol poisoning got pretty serious for some of these guys and could have easily been taken care of. ive spent spring break with my buddies before down in a different resort and not only were the rooms and facilities much nicer, the staff were willing to look out for you and help you out.... They were so far gone they couldn't tell the difference between water and tequila. much of the staff seemed to be more concerned about helping/ serving the spring breakers over the families. numerous families found it difficult to sleep at night with spring breakers coming around at night being extremely boisterous. I woke up every night from the noise. Solution that other resorts use... Escort them back to their rooms. 3. Restuarants Always had decent food. Also had plenty of seating with nice views of the sea. However, half the time the waiter would forget our drinks or take a long time to get our drinks. One day I finished my entire meal before getting our drinks. in this case it really depends on your waiter. There are some really good ones and some that don't seem to care.

Rooms where clean and our View priceless, The food was great no one got sick. They had activity everyday at the lobby and the pool activity where so much sun. A SPECIAL thanks to Enrique Felipe and Colorado they would go out of there way to make us feel like home. Also the Bar Tenders where so friendly and they made us a super yummy Sapitos shoots and drinks. Pros: This all inclusive hotel offers everything. From your type of pillow you want to sleep on, if you want aromatherapy in the room, 4 types of liquor and mixers in room, to several dining options available on site. You literally never have to leave the resort unless you want to explore. I thought that with unlimited alcohol included that it would be crawling with drunk people, but everyone was the right type of pleasantly buzzed or totally sober. No puking anywhere that I saw. The staff had exceptional service that I have not found anywhere else. While you don't have to leave the hotel if you don't want to, there are lots of tours and excursions that you probably should look into if you have never visited the area before, and I definitely recommend a night out to It can be loud, and if you like your sleep, I recommend a room with the lagoon view for a quieter atmosphere.

Cons: In general terms it is a good hotel but expensive for what they actually offer, I wouldn't recommend it unless it was cheaper (for the same money you can go somewhere way better). The things I did´t like: - Hard Rock Hotels are no the same everywhere, we stayed at Panama Megapolis last year and was nicer, it had better rooms, facilities (eg: under water speaker in the pool) and service. - They host Weddings so you need to consider that large groups may be staying as well. In our case, the group staying was definitely NOT what I expected, besides being way too loud and quite drunk, they where rude, just consider that on the Wedding night some of the girls almost got into a fight with local hookers who where in the lobby bar (smash bar), after this, bar tenders kept on giving them alcohol which I think is unacceptable (toilets even ended up puked) (you need to consider that there were families with kids when this happened, plus, what are hookers doing in the lobby in the first place??).... Ok, we all wanna have fun, drink and laugh, but this isn't "college spring break"!! - Jetted pool is for "VIPs" only and not available for regular guests in the main pool area (the thing is that "VIPs" didn't use it much, so usually was available but "unreachable"). - It is a loud hotel, one night the Karaoke (held just by the pool) was on up until 2 am (my wife says it was until 4, but I fell asleep before she did xD). - In some places the service was not good, one night at smash bar it took me 15 minutes to get a dink (bar tenders where only looking for tips), next day I went down with all my 1 dollar bills and everything changed!!

I stayed in a room on the 10th floor and decided to stay another day so they stay me on the 5th floor the smell is very unpleasant ... you have to take a shower and something by plugging the drain so that the odor does not go to the room. My friends were staying on the 3rd floor the odor was even worse!

Pros: We love this resort and returned for our 6th time. The resort is full of friendly outgoing people looking to have a great time. As a friend says, "I went to Cuba and sat on loungers beside same couple for a week without exchanging words" That will never happen at TTR. Join Cancuncare.com and meet many before you arrive. Cons: last 10 years I went to Cancun every year and Parnassus was the only resort that did not have mini refrigerator with drinks on it. We drink a lot of water during the night and early morning and it made our stay uncomfortable.

Pros: I usually don’t do reviews but this one was super necessary. The hotel has a great location and the facilities are nice. However the service was awful. Really bad. We got there at 10pm on a Thursday and there was not anything to eat. Although the restaurants hours where until 11pm. we had to call the manager and after arguing with us they started to bring us food. The breakfast place and the restaurant inside the hotel called risotto is the worst experience ever. Imagine that in an empty restaurant, with lots of empty tables we habe to sign in a waiting list and get a number. Although we were informed that no previous reservation was needed. It was really impresive the bad service and lack of interest and understanding by the hosts. How come i have to be in a waiting list of an empty restaurant for about 1 hr. In order sit The hotel is nice but the service is horrible. The only place where the service was great was at the beach bar. They where really nice with us. Specially mr.Angel he was outstanding. The rest of the service really but really bad.

Pros: The place was amazing. Everyone was there to help you and please you. We had troubles with rooming situation and Irvin helped us out so much. He was able to fix our situation and be super friendly about it the whole time. We went over spring break weekend, but the hotel was pretty good about quieting people down during the night so we got a great nights sleep each night! The hotel itself is amazing. It has a great beach, staff, pool, super clean, food, and drinks. I was there for six days and had a blast the entire time!

Pros: The resort was very average. The location was amazing. It is on a clean part of the beach. They provide cabanas on the beach. And when you leave the resort you are a very quick walk to all the bars and restaurants.
Cons: We traveled with a wedding party and were able to see the resort where our friends stayed. Although this resort was average in appearance, it was WAY over priced (compared to where our friends stayed and what they paid). The all inclusive is NOT included if you book through a third party (kayak, orbitz, expedia). When we got to the hotel is was $240 additional per person even though the hotel is advertised as an all inclusive on Kayak. Our view was of the loud banging construction that woke us up at 5am each day. When I called to see if we could move rooms, I was told we could get some ear plugs. The construction was loud and early! There is no hot tub at all. The resort is very small. Also, the house keeping staff skipped our room one day, on another day they charged us $100 for spilling a cocktail on the comforter.

Pros: To begin with the staff was amazing! Always willing to help no matter what. We never had problems with anything in the room and if we needed something it was done promptly. The beach view was to die for! The hotel was always clean and food was always good which is a plus! I highly recommend staying here! Will definitely book here again when the time comes!

Cons: was booked for all inclusive package through kayak to have access to full hotel amenities including a double bed room within the pyramid. When arrived was informed by reception that we did not have full access to all hotels all inclusive package/bracelets as hotel changed policy a month after booking. We were given a king bed instead of a double as booked in another part of the hotel, which was not in the main pyramid which was called grad oasis when we booked. It was now called the pyramid which was the full access location and more exclusive to guest. Hotel gave us an upgrade of bracelet for food only but did not accommodate the room and said there was no guarantee for double beds as part of our reservation. ??? They offered to put us in another of there hotel chains which is not what we wanted as we booked the grand oasis, now known as the pyramid. Reception was not very accommodating. When calling for guest services no one answered calls. The hotel room was not picked up by housekeeping on one of the nights of our stay or linens changed as requested. The bed was stripped of original linens, including a pillow case and was just left with the bottom bed cover and a blanket the was in the closet. Pools where a mess with spring breakers, there was broken glass near our room and blood on a wall and no one had come to clean it all day until I called several times to report it and some one finally came out to clean the glass but blood was still noticeable on the wall. Too many drunk out of control people out for spring break. Nudity, people having sex in public and life behavior on hotel beds , chair throwing and complete disruption to other hotel guest there to enjoy a relaxing stay at hotel. There were families with small children there that could not used the full access to pools and facilities due to all the mess and drunken disruption by party goers. This was my third stay at this hotel and the worst experience I've ever had while on vacation. It had been fully all inclusive before and quite comfortable and lovely. I went with a friend who had never been to cancun and I highly recommended this hotel for her first time there. If I had know it would be like this this time of year or in general not being kept up by staff or under control by personal, I would never had booked. The only positive thing I will say is that the hotels spa service and staff where incredible, polite, accommodating and professional. 5 stars to them but overall going from 4-5 star previous experiences at this hotel, I will not recommend this hotel to anyone any more and will not return.

They wanted us to completely relocate to a different hotel but we refused. We paid a good amount of money to have the advantages of an all inclusive but didn't relieve them here. The poor was not good and they were very stingy when it came to The alcohol. When trying to get a drink, if you weren't throwing dollar bills at them they ignored you or gave you one drink and told you to get away. My advice, if you're looking for a clean, quiet place with good food, service and drinks DONT STAY HERE!

Rooms are OK... sink leaked, shower didn't function properly, food was way less than expected, bar service was almost nonexistent. No name brand liquor as they promise ... hell, not even Bacardi in most bars.

Long lines at the buffets and a poor selection of foods. I am pretty easy to please... but this place is literally the Motel 6 of Cancun. Some great people working. I do not wish to disparage them, but there is a massive resort wide lack of training and organization. Definitely wouldn't recommend going here.
