Cons: I canceled cuz of the corona virus and I didn't get any money back

Cons: I didn't like the staff! I had paid for my stay through kayak arrived at the hotel late and staff didnt let me check in

Cons: We had dinner at the Mexican restaurant in the resort one night; which is a buffet as opposed to a la carte ordering. The dinner was very expensive and "included drinks," however the available drink selection was limited to cheap options that I wouldn't order normally. We also ate dinner a little on the later side and it appeared that the food in the buffet was sitting around for a while before we showed up to eat. All in all, I recommend eating outside of the resort. You will get better food at lower prices.

Cons: everything was extra, nothing inclusive, restrictions on outside food/drink

Cons: 1) Beach location was not the best. During February, the hotel itself blocked sun from pool and beach from around 8am to 11am and then again from around 4pm to 6pm. Beach and Pool in shadow of hotel. 2) Too many kids for what wants to be a luxurious hotel. 3) Make sure you use the room sign to declare you want privacy. Maids came in every day while we were sleeping or dressing despite our shouting - please don't come in now.

Cons: The price is more than a lot of hotels in Cancun, and it's not All Inclusive So you'll pay for food and drink, but it's worth it!

Cons: water and coffee in the room should not be with extra charge.

Cons: Practically nothing is not to like about this hotel. In the past I've eaten at the breakfast buffet, which is excellent. But this time decided the $30ea price tag was a little much. Instead, we tended to sleep in and skip breakfast, instead snacking on some fruit/granola in the room before grabbing an early lunch around 11-12 (early by Mexican standards at least, who are accustomed to lunch between 1-2), and then not feel bad about spending more for dinner most nights.

Cons: No information as to the the three onsite restaurants, no menu's not even a mention. The in-room minibar was nice but expensive.

Cons: If you're going here in the off-season like we did, I would note that the back side of the hotel (where all the pools and beach are located) does NOT face the sun!! So it gets dark a little early for our taste. The sun went down behind the big hotel at like 3 PM each day. We started waking up at 8 AM to get the most out of our day once we overslept and found out the hard way.

Cons: There were a few ants in our room but that is probably normal for most places in Mexico. The try to stay on top of it. Wifi was unbelievably slow if not nonexistent. Try getting an international data plan that doesn't screw you on rates.

Cons: Nothing!

Cons: There could be a shuttle service for guests who chose to pay upgrade for butler services in order to not have to use the not so great local taxis which pick you up at the hotel to get you around often with no air conditioner are these taxis.

Cons: Terrible experience overall. Cracked my tooth on room service food and no one seemed to care. The whole trip was a nightmare.

Cons: I really did not like...scratch that...hated the sales pitch upon our arrival. An employee sat down with us to review the resort credits (that we never used BTW) and other details. I paid for the room online well in advance and really did not appreciate the pressure to go have a TWO HOUR breakfast with one of their sales people. I knew what I was buying before I arrived and did not need to be re-sold on the resort when we got there. My only knock on Secrets is the pressure to join their club and pay a high rate so we can visit their resorts on the cheap and our friends and family can go to their resorts for an inexpensive rate as well. Quite frankly, I am in no way shape or form interested in financing the vacations of friends and family. The Secrets club may work for some people but the notion seems utterly ridiculous to me!

Cons: Being in Cancun, you will still experience the party at a minor level. It was a bit distracting and unrelaxing at times to hear clearly from our room the pool activities from the hotel next door till probably 1am on certain days. Also, the worst thing we experienced was the slow room service. No matter what time you would request it, it would take from 50 to 120 mins. I also had an accident with a juice that spilled inside my room, for which I had to wait over 1 hour for the cleaning services to arrive and take care of.

Cons: Our last night there our whole room smelled like sewage

Cons: The food at the restaurants is really bad, plates are extremely small, food is poorly cooked and the service is also pretty bad. It’s a shame because the restaurants all are very nice and the hotel is beautiful.

Cons: I would think 2x if you're traveling solo. This hotel was couples, families.

Cons: The housekeeper stole $100. Not plug friendly in rooms

Cons: You have to get up early to reserve your spot at the very crowded pool. It would also be nice if the restaurants took reservations. There is always a wait for the nicer restaurants.

Cons: Don't ever book with getaroom.com. They are a HUGE scam.

Cons: Very bad customer service. Rude reception and manager. Dirty rooms Front door is not sealed after reenovation. Food is very bad. Level of three star hotel. It is not adult only hotel it is bardelle hotel. Stay away from that hotel. There are several adult only hotel which are a lot better.

Cons: The roof was leaking in many places area rugs were used to soak up the spill instead of buckets and a lot of people fell in the lobby including myself.

Cons: Guest age average 40-50s. Not so hot looking. Young crowd seekers need to go elsewhere. The hotel itself is OUTDATED. All the pools are COLD. Bad pluming, small rooms, ocean view was really a tiny liltte gap of blue in the corner of our window.

Cons: For the first time the crowd was younger than normal. Much higher percentage of under 30 crowd this visit. If this trend continues we wont be happy. We like to party with adults not children.

Cons: Only one think TV channels most of them in Spanish some times I want to go to my room relax for sometime and watch TV but everything in Spanish and most of the guests speak English so please have some English chanels

Cons: The resort is HUGE! We were only there for 4 days and it felt overwhelming to make decisions about where to eat, what to do, etc. It took us a day to orient ourselves because we didn't receive a good orientation to the property when we checked in (they were only interested in getting us to the sales pitch breakfast). The restaurants lacked ambiance and I felt like I was in a Vegas casino in the lobbies. It was also so busy and there were so many people everywhere that I never felt like I was fully relaxed. I spent most of the time on the beach so I wouldn't have to listen to the loud music and games being played by the pools. The sand was white and soft, but the water was covered in seaweed so it wasn't great for swimming. The food was ok, but nothing to write home about. This might be a good choice if you were planning an extended stay, but even if I were going on a longer trip I would not stay here again. I was with a group of friends so it didn't stop us from having a great time (the all-inclusive alcohol helped!) but the resort was not a highlight of the trip.

Cons: I checked in and didn't receive a special set up in my room like I had on my last visit. I also was not told about my resort credits and when I asked about them checking out they told me I had to use them that day. I was very upset because I could of used them the 3 days I was there. No one had told me about how many credits I had upon checking in.

Cons: The fact that we were told ocean view but not guaranteed ... the extra 30% charged for services with resort points

Cons: It can be loud, and if you like your sleep, I recommend a room with the lagoon view for a quieter atmosphere.

Cons: In general terms it is a good hotel but expensive for what they actually offer, I wouldn't recommend it unless it was cheaper (for the same money you can go somewhere way better). The things I did´t like: - Hard Rock Hotels are no the same everywhere, we stayed at Panama Megapolis last year and was nicer, it had better rooms, facilities (eg: under water speaker in the pool) and service. - They host Weddings so you need to consider that large groups may be staying as well. In our case, the group staying was definitely NOT what I expected, besides being way too loud and quite drunk, they where rude, just consider that on the Wedding night some of the girls almost got into a fight with local hookers who where in the lobby bar (smash bar), after this, bar tenders kept on giving them alcohol which I think is unacceptable (toilets even ended up puked) (you need to consider that there were families with kids when this happened, plus, what are hookers doing in the lobby in the first place??).... Ok, we all wanna have fun, drink and laugh, but this isn't "college spring break"!! - Jetted pool is for "VIPs" only and not available for regular guests in the main pool area (the thing is that "VIPs" didn't use it much, so usually was available but "unreachable"). - It is a loud hotel, one night the Karaoke (held just by the pool) was on up until 2 am (my wife says it was until 4, but I fell asleep before she did xD). - In some places the service was not good, one night at smash bar it took me 15 minutes to get a dink (bar tenders where only looking for tips), next day I went down with all my 1 dollar bills and everything changed!!

Cons: The main negative point is the smell of the bathroom drain. I stayed in a room on the 10th floor and decided to stay another day so they stay me on the 5th floor the smell is very unpleasant ... you have to take a shower and something by plugging the drain so that the odor does not go to the room. My friends were staying on the 3rd floor the odor was even worse!

Cons: Our privacy lights were broken, it sounded like a construction site all night just outside our door...

Cons: Time share push after check in. Just insist that you want to go right up to your room and dodge this (they were not aggressive when we did this).

Very busy hotel; not for those wanting a quiet getaway Hotel activities are too loud especially in the lobby at night Only two sets of elevators in entire building; not enough for the capacity of guests of building Always long lines at front desk; they need to add more staff during checkout time.

Cons: The facilities are dated. Towels were a dingy brown green color. Restaurants were never consistently open. People come to Mexico for Mexican food and the Mexican restaurant was closed most days we were there.

Cons: I've stayed at two other resorts in Cancun and a third in Cozumel. All of which were competively priced with this one and offered equivalent all inclusive packages. All had nicer rooms, higher quality finishes to give a luxury feel, and professional staff. 1. The Rooms The first room my wife and I experienced was less than ideal. The ceiling was so short we both could reach up and touch the ceiling. All bathrooms lacked ventilation so mold and paint bubbling should be expected. The first room's bathroom had a curious layout with lights hanging out of the socket. It was fixed shortly thereafter, but if I had kids I would not have accepted the room. Exposed electrical surfaces in a wet space with no ventilation is a disaster waiting to happen. We payed to upgrade our room to the jacuzzi room which looked much more like a normal hotel room. The bathroom still didn't have any ventilation. in addition, the tile work wasn't very impressive. The finishes looked very sloppy and didn't seem to have a luxury feel. Get what you pay for... 2. Staff aforementioned are the staff that were very helpful and good at their jobs. What I was concerned about is that very few people were concerned about making our honeymoon special. Bartenders were always very nice, maybe a little too nice.. There were numerous spring breakers and Its always okay to let lose. There needs to be more discretion as to when to cut somebody off. Every day there was someone being wheelchaired out. Alcohol poisoning got pretty serious for some of these guys and could have easily been taken care of. ive spent spring break with my buddies before down in a different resort and not only were the rooms and facilities much nicer, the staff were willing to look out for you and help you out.... They were so far gone they couldn't tell the difference between water and tequila. much of the staff seemed to be more concerned about helping/ serving the spring breakers over the families. numerous families found it difficult to sleep at night with spring breakers coming around at night being extremely boisterous. I woke up every night from the noise. Solution that other resorts use... Escort them back to their rooms. 3. Restuarants Always had decent food. Also had plenty of seating with nice views of the sea. However, half the time the waiter would forget our drinks or take a long time to get our drinks. One day I finished my entire meal before getting our drinks. in this case it really depends on your waiter. There are some really good ones and some that don't seem to care.

Cons: They need to include the Internet

Cons: Beds were uncomfortable at all unfortunately. Food at the main restaurant was repetitive and a bit low quality. Nonalcoholic drinks were low quality and no fresh juices or cocktails.
