Hassle free rentalPros:The interaction I had with Europacar staff both at pick-up and return was first rate. Both were pleasant, professional without any intent to hassle or nitpick. Or that I felt pressured to add something I did not want to add. The car was new, clean, comfortable in excellent working order. I highly commend Europacar for their excellent, professional and I might add nice staff with excellent English speaking skills.Cons:The cost which was not excessive by Icelandic standards but far more expensive than my home country. This of course is not a criticism of Europacar but a function of the reality of car rental/hire in Iceland. The cost to return the car at the Eastern end of Iceland doubled the cost.Reviewed 2018 Sep 20

Iceland camper van (a thing of the past?)Pros:Relatively new van, ran great, and the custom shelving was quite handy, especially the pull out cutting board table. Plenty of room for 2. Friendly crew.Cons:It was a panel van so with the custom shelving there is zero visibility of whats behind you or in your side blind spots. Outside of the city you can get by but be prepared to have your passenger on the lookout for you. With the new law / rule you need to park at camping sites and pay the fee, so seems to defeat the point of the camper van.Reviewed 2018 Sep 02

Perfect car, perfect service.Pros:Far better service than the Budget office next door (at Reykjavik/KEF), which is what we used last time. Fast, friendly, helpful, and no-nonsense. The car was in great condition, and met our needs perfectly.Reviewed 2018 Aug 24

Pros:First vehicle I was given had a flat tire light on - but it was immediately replaced with a nicer vehicle when I pointed it out. Vehicle rental overall was great. On returning, there had been some minor issues (chips due to gravel roads) that I reported and this was handled very smoothly and professionally by the team.Cons:Since this rental was in Iceland I would have loved the option to get a larger 4x4 vehicle. However, this was not available for 7 passengers! Overall, very good though.Reviewed 2018 Aug 14

Pros:The staff were very friendly and professional.Cons:I had expected a slightly higher quality car. The various categories/tiers made it difficult to honestly assess value. For example, we selected a "VW Golf or similar" and ended up with a Kia. I do not consider the Kia similar given we did not select the economy category.Reviewed 2017 Jun 21
