Cons: Pickup took over 1.5 hours. Vehicles were returned late due to travel delays and as a result we were waiting in baggage claim for our car in FCA for over 90 minutes. And had to wait for a second car because of a faulty back seat issue.
Pros: Friendly staff. Easy pick up and drop off.

Cons: I had to park deep in the overflow area when I returned my vehicle. As imagined, it was virtually impossible to drag my luggage across the gravel. I was displeased with how sweaty I was before getting on two airline flights for the next 8 or so hours.
Pros: Staff at rental pickup was nice, space was unattended at drop off. See below.
Cons: Would have preferred a live attendant at the airport during the drop off. We wrote down, as instructed, the mileage at return, the gas level, etc. But apparently, it meant nothing. When we got the final bill, the mileage used was 1 mile.
Pros: One thing that potential customers need to know is that this location isn't a corporate location. It is a franchise which means that it is privately owned and pays to use the Hertz name. The main staff is friendly and picking up our vehicle was quick and easy. We rented on a one-way basis to another state from this location. This is something we do every year all over the country with other car rental companies, so we're not new to the additional charges. The difference is that Hertz is not upfront with their additional charges while the other companies are. This was our first time using Hertz.
We turned the vehicle in two days early and were charged significantly more than the estimated cost. We weren't aware of this higher charge until we saw it on our credit card. It was not something that was mentioned when we returned the vehicle.There is a hidden cost per mile that is charged for every vehicle that has more than 1,000 miles put on it. They knew we were travelling to a destination that was more than 1,000 miles away and said nothing. This is not something that Hertz does not make clear when renting a vehicle before signing the contract.
I'm more than happy to pay what I agreed to pay but when I saw the higher charge on my credit card, I was a bit confused. When I called the Hertz location in Kalispell to clarify why I was being charged more than expected, I was transferred to an incredibly unprofessional lady. I was not treated with respect at all. I simply needed someone to explain the details of the bill to make sure that the charges were valid. I did not need to be talked down to or treated poorly because they failed to explain the billing clearly at the time of pick-up. Kindness and respect towards a customer go a long way when misunderstandings happen. As a business owner of 16 years, I have personally found this works best.
Cons: 1. The staff should have been more clear with the details of the billing. There were hidden costs. If these costs had been explained at pick-up, it would have made the experience a 5/5. I wouldn't have needed to speak with management at all as I would have been aware of what to expect to see charged on my card. 2. When management is speaking to a customer, they need to be respectful and kind. Misunderstandings happen. Most people understand that, but answering a customer service call in a way that feels like you're looking for a fight with the customer is not going to make anything go well. Even if you know you are right. Find a way to at least begin kindly before attacking a customer. Again, in the 16 years I've owned my business I have found that this creates a better experience for every person involved.
Pros: The vehicle was in great shape. The counter person at pickup was great and very fast. Drop off was a breeze
Cons: A van at that price point would have better accommodated our party.

Cons: The drop off is different than a larger airport. You have to find a parking space on your own, which could be really far from the terminal.
Relatively seamless exchange
Pros: The Hertz counter was in the airport. The service was friendly though there was a wait. The vehicle itself was clean and worked well.
Cons: Kayak listed the pick-up requiring a shuttle. It doesn't. I didn't get the compact car I asked for but it was okay in this case since parking wasn't an issue.
I ordered a large suv and got a mid size instead
Pros: Thecar was ok but not what I ordered. They offered me $20 off per day which frankly was an insult. They initially offered me a hundai sonata which would totally not work for 4 large adults. I booked the car 3 months ago so I gave them way more lead time than necessary,
