Hertz operates different businesses under the same name. I accidentally made the reservation at a hertz location not at the airport. At the airport counter the hertz rep could find my reservation but said it was with a different hertz organization and he couldn’t transfer it or help to rent me a minivan. It was 8:30 at night, and the other store was closed. I have my family of 7 (5kids) at an airport with no transportation. I will never rent from hertz again. Period.Reviewed 2024 Apr 01

Pros:Staff was very friendly and helpful. Car was really nice.Cons:When I rented I could have sworn it said I was renting from the Panama City Airport but not so. We had to take a cab to the Hertz location somewhere in the middle of town. Airport Hertz said there was no way to change it. It was logistically challenging. Kayak or Hertz should do a better job of clarifying that the rental is not at the airport.Reviewed 2021 May 24

Cons:System allowed a 12pm pickup. The facility closed at 12pm. NOBODY CALLED FOR MY STATUS OR BETTER YET STAYED UNIL I ARRIVED. I arrived shortly after 12pm and the facility was closed. This was Saturday and we were STRANDED WITH NO CARS AVAILABLE ANYWHERE.Reviewed 2021 May 02

Cons:Hertz notified me one day in advance that they did NOT have the vehicle I reserved almost one month in advance. They reported that there were none available nearby and there was no upgrade available either! I am still waiting for them to refund my money!Reviewed 2020 Oct 24

Pros:N/A see note belowCons:We booked through Kayak when we arrived there was no record of our booking. So we rented two days later from Avis. Also I tried to book through AAA they said you had no agency in the airport you do. I picked okay as a rating because I don’t think it was your fault but you lost a sale and I thought you should know because in the past you have been excellent.Reviewed 2020 Sep 29

Pros:NOTHING.. I FEEL LIKE WHEN YOU GET A CONFIRMATION NUMBER THAT SHOULD BE A DONE DEAL..Cons:I recieved a confirmation number after speaking with a customer repetitive and got there to pick up my rental and was denied.. I made sure to let them know exactly what type of card was being used.. I was told NO PROBLEM EVERYTHING in order ready to go.. I get there with EVERYTHING I was told to have then denied due to credit check .. They were told I had NO CREDIT GOOD OR BAD.. I was told everything was in order NO PROBLEM not having ANY CREDIT..Reviewed 2020 Jul 24
