They didn't have a car in the class that I reserved. They tried to give me a much smaller car that did not meet my family's needs. This car smelled terrible. Ultimately, I left the agency without a car. My other experiences with hurts have been okay. But this experience was not a good one.Reviewed 2023 Jul 04

The car I reserved was not available and there were no others available. I had someone drive me 30 minutes to get there which could have been prevented if they had called me. I was very disappointed not to have a car after I had a confirmation number and was really counting on it. The workers in the store were nice, though.Reviewed 2023 May 15

My true opinion on Hertz rental Agency is very poor. This company just come out of bankruptcy and will definitely going to the same in near future. . This is my second rentals online with third party reservations site. Everytime I went to Hertz I was told they don't have the vehicle I rented for that matter any vehicle similar for me to pickup. They have incompetent agent in every location I visited. I guess this is what you get for dealing with bankrupt company in the first place. DONOT DO IT, YOU WILL REGRET.Reviewed 2022 Jul 27

The reservation indicated that the pick up time was 12:00 (noon). However, the store closed at noon! When I went to pick up the car passed noon, the store was closed and I couldn’t get any car. The email I got with pick up instructions was absolutely missleading!!! I demand a refund of my reservation. I had to rent another car that same day somewhere else. Hertz or Kayak was very disappointing. If I don’t get my refund I will never do business with any if these companies again. Hope you review the case and do better. Thanks!Reviewed 2021 Nov 29

Pros:The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. The drop off in New York is appealing. The most unfriendly, bossy and cold people I’ve experienced in a service industry.Cons:The people working in New York act like they hate their job and can’t be bothered to help you. When I was pulling into the hertz lot one of the workers were screaming at me to move up. He could have asked politely. I’ve lived in nyc for 15 years and this behavior is unacceptable. Pros:Staff was excellent and friendly. From The beginning i had a great experience. The car i got was clean and comfortable. It was ready for me when I arrived at the store. I was in and out in 10 minutes. I rented a mid-level SUV for my cross country road trip and got upgraded. It may have been because of lack of inventory but regardless it was a pleasant surprise.
