I was told I may have to pay $150.00 in U S dollars to clean the sand off the floor matt. I was not informed about that upon renting the vehicle. The spare tire was not inspected upon renting the vehicle. I returned the vehicle and was told the spare was flat. I don't know if there was a leak in the tire. It was never inspected upon renting the vehicle. Now I am excited to pay for a tire. Very disappointed with my experience.Reviewed 2026 May 11

I couldn’t even rent the car because they wanted to put on a hold on my credit card that was more than double the actual amount. I figured maybe a little higher, but I couldn’t rent the car and there was no way for me to cancel through Kayak or Hertz. Each told me the other had to cancel, so I have no idea if I’m getting charged or anything? This is why zipcar is better.Reviewed 2026 May 11

Van was not ready when needed - phone call said"flat tire" and ready "soon" - that was at 9am. It was not ready at 11 am and I needed for passengers. Went to another company and finally at 3pm - Hertz call said ready. MUCH MUCH toolate and then have the audacity to charge me $150 for cancelling rental - NEVER AGAIN WITH KAYAK OR HERTZ.Reviewed 2026 May 07

On Drop off hertz is in between the car dealership under an overhang, sign is really small. Very hard to find I had to ask a salesman as I could not see it.Reviewed 2026 May 05
