UPSELL! booked car for 3 days total 155 euros Ended up with 2 days at 190 euros. Upsell at rental counter. Changed from 3 to 2 days and received 13 euro decrease. Called CUSTOMER SERVICE. I waited 33 minutes to get an agent. Told him 132 euro decrease for one less day was ridiculous and I wanted my original contract back. He told me there was npthing he could do. He couldn't change a contract. A customer service agent who could not give any customer service! My original contract would now go from 155 to 190 euros and now to 330 euros if I wanted the three days! DON'T RENT FROM SIXT. UPSELL RIP-OFF! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. (In fairness agents at rental and return were all courteous and friendly, just unempowered.Reviewed 2023 Oct 10

Pros:Overall the experience with sixt was nice - the car was totally new and comfortable. Although I received a premium-class car, I reserved SUV, but not sedan that I have received. That was unfortunate and rather unexpected, given the size of luggage and the quality of countryside road I was going to.Cons:I would prefer a faster reaction - if sixt can't guarantee even the car class, then I would prefer an immediate cancellation. When I hear that my car is not available at the counter - that's already late for last minute changes.Reviewed 2020 May 25

Cons:I called to Sixt before coming to office and they proved that the car is ready. When I came to the Sixt office Berlin Tempelhof they didn’t give me the car. Moreover they told me that my account is blocked in their system but it is impossible. I had to wait then sent email to their security system and got this response: “ Dear Mr. Povetkin, In reference to your request, please notice that we decided to do not fulfill the reservation mentioned above and so please accept this decision and refrain from further requests regarding this matter”. This is insane and I had to find rapidly another service, that was Europecar and they gave me a car in 5 minutes. Please consider this for further bookings. BR, DmitriyReviewed 2020 Feb 20

Pros:Good value.Cons:Phone service is terrible. It is impossible to reach n human on the phone. Also they did not explain that you need a vignette to drive in the Czech Republic or Austria.Reviewed 2018 Aug 17

Good condition of the car but clerk doesn't seem tPros:Clean and good car.Cons:Even though I contracted the online Allianz insurance recommended by the site the person on the counter said this online insurance was not valid for this rental and I should buy another at Sixt.
