Bad, we asked for a petrol car and got pushed an electric car. We struggled the whole weekend to find places to charge it in the countryside. We also were told we didn't buy insurance from Kayak and so had to pay a ridiculous amount of money (more than the rental cost) to get insurance on the spot. DissatisfiedReviewed 2023 Nov 27

Bait & SwitchCons:We originally booked the car through Dollar (which is managed by the same location as Hertz) and when we arrived we were informed that we had to accept the additional insurance which would have doubled the price. We cancelled the dollar reservation and re-booked through Hertz at a higher rate to avoid the insurance charges. They gave us the exact same car they were going to give us through Dollar (but now at a high rate). Also, we found several small scratch and dings on the car - when we told the lady at the desk she said not to worry about them but when we brought the car back we were hassled about them. Luckily we had documented everything with pictures and videso when we picked up the car so we avoided extra charges. very annoying car rental experience.Reviewed 2017 Oct 17
