The check in for baggages had closed by 1 min. They were allowing me to take the flight only if I threw out all my liquids or else were off loading me. They proposed no other solution and wanted to make me pay 450 dollara to put me on the flight the next day. I had an interview the following day and needed to return. I ended buying a new full fare ticket with British airways and got excellent service. I am yet to complain to TAP."

This caused delays as passengers had to figure out where they were sitting. Checked in luggage at gate since flight was full and we were asked to volunteer to check-in luggage. At baggage claim, bag delay to retrieve luggage after already hour delay in departure. Bags was not labeled or categorized correctly causing an extra half hour delay to claim bags."

So, things get more and more delayed. Can't you predict roughly when the plane is going to land (once it is in the air!) and arrange for some gate to be open, so that we don't have to sit on the ground for 45 minutes once it has landed, for example? People who know how to organize are ordinarily capable of doing that. Furthermore, the lack of transparency is really frustrating: we just sit on the tarmac with no indication of how long we're going to be there, and the estimates of the delays are completely wrong when we're given them."

In the end, we had to be rerouted to a different airport and take another connection, which in standard United style was delayed by yet another 4 hours. And upon arrival, all of our bags were lost, not unsurprisingly. The worst part was that for the next 4 days, no one knew where the bags were and we were without our checked bags for 5 days until they finally arrived. As an experienced traveler, this was the worst flight I had ever taken and will never fly United or Air canada ever again."

The only hope of identifying it was the blue ID travel tag that thankfully I put on there myself, as Air Canada's tags were all wrong & were for a male customer going to Honolulu, HI. Still waiting for my luggage to show up. No clothes, no sandals....all day... Next time I will ensure I do NOT bring any luggage items for checking in! Instead I'll stick to a carryon even if it is a 3 wk trip across the world...."

Cons: "I spent a lot of money on gifts from italy and packed them really well in my hardshell checked bag. 3 gifts were broken when I unpacked my bag. Now I have to go back to italy next year to buy more stuff, which isn't really a bad thing."

Cons: "My wife and I each have one small carry on, hers is an expensive leather one. I was able to fit our two bags and my wife's cashmere coat into an overhead bin taking no more room than most passenger's single carry on. A late boarding passenger had a large carry on and could not find room. The flight attendant removed our nicely placed things stuffed the cashmere coat into corner and quite roughly jammed my wife's leather carry on into a cramped space. I know they have a job filled with frustration but they do not need to take it out on cashmere coats and leather luggage."

Pros: "Empty plane so I could switch to exit row. The other rows do not have enough room for someone 186cm tall"

Cons: "On arriving two hours early to my flight I was told that I was being put on standby because the flight was full. Not sure how I got bumped from a flight that I bought a ticket for 3 weeks ago? Upon waiting at the gate I came to realise that 17 other people had also been bumped. How does an airline overbook a flight that much? We were led to the baggage claim and told to pick up our bags to be rechecked- then the flight attendants disappeared, giving us no further direction as to where to go or what to do. My bags did not arrive on the carousel, either did anyone else’s that had been bumped. We walked up to the check in desk only to be told to consult the baggage service desk downstairs. Upon doing that we were told to go back to the check in desk. After going to the check in desk again we were told to go to the customer service desk. After doing that and waiting another half hour, we were given new tickets and told that our baggage had left on our original flight and would be waiting for us in Barcelona once we got there. Our compensation for all of this hassle was only a free meal from the restaurant. When we went to the restaurant we were told that we were only allowed one of the cold sandwiches and a small drink. Absolutely appalling as we were starving and exhausted. All of the flights were also delayed, however all the boards continued to say they were ‘on time’. The board for the flight we eventually took said we were ‘on time’ despite the fact we were still standing at the gate at the time we were supposed to depart. After arriving on a flight 5 hours later than we should have arrived, We were then told by the baggage desk that the luggage had not arrived in Barcelona and were instead back in Paris. So the staff in Paris blatantly lied just to get us to leave them alone. No apology was offered at any point of this whole ordeal, no compensation other than a sandwich and a bottle of water, and i’m now left with absolutely nothing but the clothes on my back. Not even a complimentary toothbrush which has been given to me along with toiletries and a t-shirt the last time my bags were delayed. Absolutely appalling from all aspects of this whole company. I am sorry to say I’ve already booked my return flight, however after that flight I am never flying Vuelig again!"

Cons: "This is what I noticed while checking in the last gate before we board. We were singled out with a few other people to be additional screened in questions. When we were done, there were about more than 10 individuals who were waiting to pass the gate and about over 50 waiting in line. We noticed that the European descent individuals with bigger bags were not question and allowed to pass through. We were stop and was informed we have to pay for our luggage. The rep took our credit card and scanned it and when we asked how much she informed us the amount will be appeared in our next statement. How did she not even know?? Lastly, the individual in front of us had the same luggage (if not bigger) and didn’t even have to beck his in!"

On a good note, it looks like I'm going to get a full refund. If they had arranged for me and my son to get there by another means - business class?, another airline?? - then I'd be impressed"

We were told we could get on a 4pm flight and were rebooked for a 9pm flight!! Then they lost all my luggage and when I did get it we only got 2bags! My kids while suitcase went missing for two days! Totally unacceptable! Worse thing is the lack of direction to handle the situation. Their answer was by law were allowed to overbook! Seriously! I know this is true but these airlines should. It be allowed to do that it’s disruptive to people’s lives that have paid money to be on these flights. So our 4day vacation is now down to 3 and of those 3days we spent one day waiting on partial delivery of our luggage!"
