Austrian Airlines was fine - it was the Munich airport’s system for boarding with new EES requirements. Instructions were confusing, waiting lines were LONG and many people had to run to catch their flights.
It was very bad. We were delayed for 2.5 hours. After 9 hours traveling from Vienna to Washington my airplane was not on time. It was very frustrating
1) have phone numbers where we can call... a human... not this bot stuff... 2) the austrian airlines crew directs us to the airport lost and found for left behind objects, then the airport lost and found directs us back to them. Listen y'all, if you can't get this straight, what are you thinking expecting us to? Cheap, unprofessional, looks like a airline on the way to going under. If you can't afford well-trained staff... well... ask not for whom be bell tolls... it tolls for you.
The good: we liked fast boarding, the departure and arrival on-time. The not-so-good: The crew should learn from their sister-company Swiss with whom we took the flight to the US. Austrian onboard personnel need to smile more and provide a better service. Food was okay, there was the usual issue with “no more chicken” by the time they reach row X 😕. We did not understand why the crew collected trash so randomly and inadequately. We missed the free internet for messaging which was privided by Swiss as well. Hope this feedback helps.
They should be kind to the people Food is always plain pasta bread is from the fridge they don't even warm up Seat is so uncomfortable body hurts
Just overall a poor experience with little to justify the price of the ticket!
Very limited legroom in a 10 hour flight.very old plane.
The flight was delayed for 30 minutes with no apparent reason. There is no entertainment at all, and no USB or electric outlets for charging your phone or tablet.
Not so good. I paid for a preference economic seat, and I couldn’t incline it back because it was blocked. They explained me that because is the last before emergency exit. The company new that but it was not explained in the seat selection
Austrian was not the issue. Kayak was terrible The flight was canceled. Frustrating but it can happen. The worst was Kayak's customer support around re-booking. I have chatted with a bot, than with a person who insisted the flight was still on as originally booked. while chatting i went on Austrian web page and told the kayak chat lady that the flight is shown as cancelled. She said she will escalate this and that someone will contact me within the hour. When I have asked her to give me the details of the flight she sees, She gave me the general A to B and return B to A. Totally unhelpful. After two hours I contacted them again, They were still saying the original flight is as scheduled and when I explained again I was told I will be contacted within 2-6 hours. NO ONE CONTACTED ME EVER SINCE! I have than contacted Austrian directly and was rebooked on a difficult flight. Kayak continued to send me irrelevant updates about my original flight. Terrible customer service at time of need.
Check in started on time, Departure was on time, Arrival 15 minutes ahead of schedule.
You need to be able to manage your employees effectively instead of letting them call the shots. Priority should be given to the convenience and interests of the customers—whom you simply couldn't care less about.
The crew members; the service, the food, everything was good. The check in process was terrible because I couldn't choose my seat. It made my waiting too long at the airport in Tel Aviv and at the end U've got the middle seat even though it was promised to me to give me the aisle seat. Each company gives the option to choose free seats during check in. I didn't have this option
NOTE: this flight is operated by TAROM It’s good, but the in flight entertainment wasn’t working
The service, the crew, the cleanliness, and most of all, the comfort and space between seats in the economy class was excellent! The seat spacing was better than all my international flights in recent memory.
I stood in line for two hours חודא to drop off my suitcase. When I arrived just before the gate closed and asked to drink the water I bought a minute before boarding, the flight attendant rushed me to throw away the bottle and get on the plane. She spoke rudely, even though I had been standing in different lines for 3 hours; I felt bad and needed water. The delay was the airline's fault, not my fault. I expected understanding, not rudeness.
The space between my knees and the chair in front of me was the smallest I’ve ever seen. I could not reach the blanket that was on the floor. The entertainment included very many Israeli movies and tv shows. The El Al app did not update to tell me the gate. The most important thing you should know is that El Al is very security conscious. Prepare to go through a security check at the gate. They look through the passport and boarding pass, through your carry on bags, ask questions, etc. Then they give you a sticker and only then can you board. So get to the gate about half an hour before you would otherwise.
Poor service! If I can I will never fly with them again.
Great quality food. clean cabin and bathrooms. Fast boarding and overall comfortable flight for the duration and times.

Connecting in Frankfurt was a nightmare! Whoever scheduled our connection in Frankfurt for 90 minutes should be fired! Passport control takes 3 hours, minimum! Avoid Frankfurt airport at all costs! Never again! The airport is 3rd world. The WORST!
It was a short flight. Plenty of room on the plane. It was also extremely clean.
I arrived late in Frankfurt and I had to catch my flight to Vienna and I was running late because when I was landing the flight to Vienna was boarding. I had to go through immigration and then I had to wait in a long line to take a bus to a terminal where my flight to Vienna was taking off. However, I truly didn't think I would make it. I was literally running through the whole airport and when I stopped to ask at one of the Austrian Airlines gates they were rude because they didn't have the time to support me.
They were late and I missed my flight for Chicago. Terrible experience with Austrian airline this time.
They separated me from my kids We were checked in to fly from Vienna to Frankfurt and Washington DC final destination but separated my wife and kids sent them to Barcelona instead then Washington DC They end up traveling for 26 hours Horrible experience Never Austrian Airlines/Lufthansa again!
The flight didn’t happen with Lufthansa. It got canceled with no reason given and all I received for my troubles was €20. People make travel plans for a reason and when the flight was rebooked, it was delayed for 4 1/2 hours on Austria Airlines. The flight attendants were of zero help. They just wanted to stand and look pretty. I hope to never fly Austrian Airlines again. Horrible!!
Food selection wasnt great, even for flight meals. However staff was e extremely pleasant

was having emergency they keep dalying the flight I miss hull my trip and united airline charges me &100 for bags and I spent more thin $320 at airport for my family and when I get back samthing Daly my flight in muc I lost flight in Chicago I spent another &220 at Germany airport for no reason I should get refunded it’s very hard when total off us 7 people buy food at airport
The plain was on time. Better seating, better service than Discover. I wish I could used them for my return flight. I have used them before, and they were always good.
A no frills flight wet leased from Czech Smartwings on behalf of Israir. Comfortable seats, polite crew and non existent food and entertainment services. I had and entire row to myself and slept throughout the flight. I loved it.
Everything is good but there was no snacks, they only gave us water without any snacks, check-in online also didn’t work, we had to check-in in the airport
