I flew out of Orly, which is a nice, small airport that looks like a ghost town on one half of the check-in terminal. There are electronic kiosks which look like check-in kiosks but they don't work, and a whole floor of empty check-in booths with NO SIGNS as to where to go. I had to go to the information desk to find out where your check-in staff was - which is quite frustrating for a person who travels as much as I do. This should be easy, right? The trains in Paris are under construction during the summer. The whole transport system is screwed up (also lack of signs as to where to actually catch your train). So you're ALREADY stressed about catching your flight, and when you show up at the airport the check-in terminal (where is appears Transavia is located) is EMPTY?! That is RIDICULOUS. I am NOT a tourist. I LIVE & WORK all over Europe as an artist. I don't appreciate this sick twisted pleasure that some Europeans have in seeing confused tourists rush around like chickens with their heads cut off when their own infrastructure breaks down...because it DOESN'T JUST AFFECT THE TOURISTS! It's not cool. It's sadistic & a really crappy way to treat people who are just trying to appreciate and learn about your culture while supporting your economy while they're at it. A little bit of consideration goes a LONG way. And when it's severely lacking, as it was in this case, it makes me want to take my business & creative projects elsewhere. You have a whole Transavian UTOPIA one floor down from the main level. How about a few big TRANSAVIA SIGNS saying "ONE LEVEL DOWN" that tell people where to go instead of making everyone confused and mad when they're already in a rush to catch their plane?! How about a little empathy - seeing travel from the perspective of the TRAVELER? Just saying."

Flight itself was (eventually) fine but not encouraged to fly easyjet again from Budapest if it can be avoided."

The XL seats were worth it for the leg room and extra small bag."

While there were other options available, easyJet slightly undercut the competition to sell a ticket for a seat which they never indicated was standby. Since my trip was only for the day, taking the next flight half a day later wasn't a great option. I attempted to check in but was presented with an unhelpful error and then told me the situation at the airport checkin. Inside Luton terminal, there is no easyJet representative to speak with past the security checkpoint until you arrive at the front of the line for your flight boarding. The suspense and lack of service was unnerving. Some passengers might appreciate a small compensation for the inconvenience of taking the next flight. If you absolutely need to be somewhere, don't buy a last minute ticket on easyJet. They don't tell you if you're buying a real ticket or just a standby spot."

Trying to get any comfort with no option to lower the back of our seat and bearing the noise of people using the potty - that was a bit too much. Needless to say our seats back home are even worse since they are on the parallel row in front of the door to the toilet. If all that isn't enough we wanted to drink some fine whiskey we brought with us from the duty free and the bottle was confiscated by the flight attendant, who claimed that I cannot drink any alcohol that wasn't bought from the plane. In the seat next to me, by the way, was a guy eating sushi he just got before boarding. That felt absurd and unjustified."
Pros: "Left Milan at 18:50 and arrived in Amsterdam at 20:25!! Everyone on the plans was so nice. The entire crew, the pilots etc. And I met some really great people on the plane! How's that for entertainment! I took off one star from the crew because during the safety briefing a crew member asked me to translate for half the plane from English to Italian. Slightly alarming that no crew members speak Italian on a flight from Milan. What if a passenger has an emergency? Leg room was good, because I upgraded my seat for 16€ when I did online check in. I highly recommend that because it also includes speedy boarding. Food is not great, but what do you expect. Overall a fairly comfortable and smooth experience. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this airline unless you're specifically flying to Amsterdam. My experience was very good though. I hope my return flight will be as pleasant."

Despite having already checked in online, Ryannair apparently thinks I should have spent my holiday hunting down a print shop as not to incur their "get a printed boarding pass from an unpleasant ticket counter employee" fee. No boarding pass kiosks and unclear why they would not provide a digital one upon online check-in. Or rather it became clear as I handed over my debit card. Seats are intentionally designated apart from your travel companions so you'll pay more to have them switched to sit next your friend. Cabin is extra cramped. Ryannair is all-around terrible by budget airline standards."

When I got back to the baggage counter, the man there started checking my bags then the supervisor started yelling at me and him, because of a "miscommunication" between the other girl and Pegasus. I heard the other girl explain, and it was no communication. The supervisor as she called herself was extremely rude and short tempered with EVERYONE. Plus, they wanted to charge me 215 dollars for one extra bag. Really? I finally took a few things out and got away with under 90 dollars from the 20 dollars they were going to charge me before. I would have been happy to book with another airline that would have easily come under that price, and I barely got to my gate on time. I booked with Turkish air prior and it was 200 dollars round trip and I was very happy. My bags and food were free. When I got to Turkey to change flights, we had to get off the plane we were on and get on another, and my flight was over two hours delayed. We had to stay at the gate, and so I couldn't buy food at the airport. I would have gotten to Frankfurt at two so the small breakfast I had would have been ok, and now I had to buy food on the plane because I had planned also to meet a friend for dinner outside of Frankfurt before another flight (actually the entire reason I was flying with Pegasus in the first place) and now I wouldn't make it. Can you imagine spending all that money plus a hotel and the entire reason you went is just gone and you have to deal with all of this? So I go to buy food on the plane and I'm told my credit card doesn't work. The funny thing is, previously I checked my bags with the same credit card, and afterwards I rented a car and hotel with the same card. I knew my credit card worked. I made her try it again and nothing. So I just had to live on the small amount of yogurt I had had that morning. There was no apologies or anything for everything we went through except when my credit card wouldn't work the flight attendant gave me some coffee for free. I'm not a complainer and actually travel quite a bit (I've been traveling for 3.5 months straight all over europe and the middle east). This has been the only negative experience I've had. I truly believe that Pegasus does not care about keeping customers. I really feel like I've been treated like dirt, and that I was tricked into booking with them. I've always booked with Kayak and will continue to, but I would reconsider working with Pegasus if I were you. The other discounters like Ryanair are just fine. But this experience made me extremely angry and I will never book with Pegasus again."
